My dear GLHF friends, your chaotic energy is so needed and beautiful in life! Thank you so much for taking your time to make content, commentary, and mostly being beautiful souls in this world ❤ Love and laughter in your lives and thank you :)
39:30 This is such a convincing argument, and it's really assuaged some of my worries I still don't love the presence of UB sets and I wish there were a format without them But at least the worldbuilding team will be paced
45:02 the issue with that statement is they have never done 4 new worlds a year they mix it up with one new and a few returns to planes, some they spend significantly less effort on including Innistrad Crimson vow a last minute edition . I've been playing Magic for 24 years because it was mostly a fantasy genre game, now the rug has finally been pulled from under me. This changes the genre of Magic. Also I enjoy the MCU, Final Fantasy, and LOTR to the level of being considered a die hard fan. Still think it's boring fan service. Most people in those communities see this as the same bland tapping into IPs that cause constant movie remakes. Other communities see it as one set to buy a few framables items from like fast food toys. Universes beyond lacks artistic integrity and it will harm the game in multiple ways. Including many of the ways you list. The business phrase you are looking for is that these sets will cannibalize sales. They take away the interest from the new stories and worlds for the properties that actually invest in their IP like Lord of the rings, Warhammer, and Marvel. Eventually when everything is universes beyond they'll realize the brand is worth nothing unlike other IPs that curate & invest in their characters. It's extremely sad.
Play a Jank deck, Arch Enemy deck, Group Hug deck, King Maker deck, or Politicing deck. Your wish for everyone to have *Good Luck* will be earnest and genuine because either they'll need it or you are supporting their deck pop off.
My Thoughts on UB Cards are simply if they had a different name and artwork and printed into any other Magic set would people be complaining about it existing any more than any other magic card... they wouldn't so its really no Different if I want to play my favourite characters from games I loved Growing up that just expands the game more and lets more people enjoy Magic in their own way.
Enfranchised players follow every set, but the average player isn't really expected to. They expect the Final Fantasy set to bring in some new interest, but not every single player that keeps up with Magic. Innistrad Remastered, similarly, isn't targeted at every single player but mostly old timers, horror fans and those that are deep in Magic and are aware of it's reputation like yall.
Meghan, I'm so sorry for your loss. On the 15th of this month we had to say goodbye to my best buddy of 14 years, Maggie - also a tortie
It’s nearly impossible for real Minnesotans to not talk about the weather. As one myself I greatly appreciate that you do.👍
So true! 😂

Canadian provinces hold their elections at different times. But, as someone in one that *did* just have its vote, thank you.
