I dont know I think getting tones from humbug is pritty simple to get..just need basic things like a a decent fuzz,(muff based),an overdrive ,tremolo, some sort of leslie speaker sim for things on secret door and cornerstone..how you set delays and reverbs seem to be where you really get the tones imo,..also as an indulgence I think its worth using a pitch shifter and set it an oct down with some fuzz because some of the bass riffs are really nice to play when there's the space to do so,.especially on crying lightning and pretty visitors!
dude that was absolutely fantastic, i would massively love a Favourite Worst Nightmare version of this. If all the songs is too much work perhaps just the main tones in it. Really really well done and thank you!
I just want to say that these types of videos are amazing. Please keep them coming and do it for the rest of their albums. I can tell hard work went into these videos amazing job!
I'd love to see a series in parallel to this the "Professional" How to Sound Like. That way we could see your amazing gear and get a budget example and a pricey example of how to sound like AM.
Fantastic video. Good explanations, good choices on gear, good sound quality, good album. I really enjoy your videos and I would love it if you continued on to Favourite Worst Nightmare where the effect pedals would start to get fun. You are very knowledgeable about tone. I hope to recreate this tone with my Fender Strat through a Hot Rod DeVille 212. (By the way I can play this whole album better than you can!)
Phenomenal playing as always but Idk if you still read the comments on older videos but could you do a similar style video for the Jamie parts and also the other albums?
Hey Harry Which are the best between P90 and Humbucker to sound like the recent album of the Arctic Monkeys? (or if you have ideas for a guitar in particular ?) (I have a stratocaster to sound like the first records of the Monkeys) Great Video Thanks
Well I always say the first 2 guitars people should get, to cover as much ground as possible, is a strat and a les paul/es335, so I'd say humbucker's. :)
I’m super interested in hearing Humbug tones because those were always the most interesting to me.
I don't see why not in future!
yes please do humbug

Or if you want to switch it up. I've always wondered how the hell Cage the Elephant get their lead tones. They're sick as fuck!

Thanks for the kind words man and thanks for watching too! :)

Phenomenal playing as always but
Idk if you still read the comments on older videos but could you do a similar style video for the Jamie parts and also the other albums?
Team up with Colm Downing both great musicians on yt who have a decent following and like the AM with great gear
Joe The Playa we’ve actually talked a bit, looking at doing some collabs soon whenever, I can cover stuff he’s done etc
HarryAndAGuitar really? I’m hyped now
Any chance you could share the presets for Boss Tone Studio?
Humbug next?
Did u ever do more budget AM albums??
Could u do a full a certain romance cover including the solo alex plays during the live shows? I think u'd smash it
Way too much treble on the overdrive tones, apart from that spot on
Can you do queens of the Stone Age on a budget
16:11 was fucking ace 😍
Nice one Harry. Random question but where did you get the last shadow puppets poster in the background
Can't remember if I'm honest mate, was years ago now :)
@@HarryAndAGuitar no problem but thanks for the video I've been looking for this sound for a while
to be fair you can make it very close on a budget - cos the first album was even for them!!
Perfect ❤😍
Do The Fratellis please
I’m pretty sure all the songs from their EP’s before their initially release of their first album have the same tones and effects right?
How could I equalize my amplifier? with the gain, bass, treble and middle
Really depends on the amp and the room! :)
red light and mardi bum are not that dirty, other than that, great video mate
'OMBOG

@@HarryAndAGuitar Thanks you very much
Did Alex use that colour strat or did he always use the white one?
George Dickinson he used both around that era
Whats that a tattoo of?
It's a secret ;)
Kyle Morgan-Reid pretty sure it a jack white tattoo but I might be wrong
jack white logo hahaha
What Fender is there?
Description. It’s not a fender
Does it annoy any one else where he plays the notes on the fretboard, like instead of the low E he uses the A string or is that just me?😂
Aarun Parmar-Cunio product of working stuff out by ear I guess! Hahah :)
