The Lallantop team is in Kerala to cover Loksabha Elections 2024. We went to Mother's Live Plaza in Thiruvananthpuram and tired famous Onam Sadhya. It only costs 250 rupees and has 26 items in it. Watch the video to know about it.

By the way this is Thiruvananthapuram special sadhya which offers yoy an extra dish called boli.
I'm from Northern side of kerala, Kozhikode district. We serve kuruva rice with sadhya. We start rice eating with sambar, not with dal ghee mix.
You can see minor differences in eeach neighbouring districts and it becomes major in te case of distant districts.
Here Puleenchi/pulinkari is missing Which is made of Tamarind, ginger and jaggery.
Mothers is the best place in Trivandrum , their hospitality is outstanding

@@skrtfghs yes reason can be anything but final product is costly rest rice n gravies r unlimited in other states as well. Like u can have unlimited buffet in North India start Rs 100 but fixed 2-4 roti based thali for Rs 50 onwards

The manager tried to dumb down the names too much. The first 4 items were not just achar, each of them have separate names. The worst dumbing down was calling the 3 ' Pachadi' (beetroot, pineapple and pumpkin) as khichdi/ raita.

Sonal Ji.. Kerala rice jo bol rahe hai vo usna chaval hai (Boiled rice). Usna chaval Odisha, Jharkhand (particularly Eastern part) and Bengal me bhi khaya jata hai. North East ke baare mujhe pata nahi hai. Payasam means Kheer.
Yeh special rice hai. Isko Red rice ya matta rice kaha jata hai. Duniya ka sabse paushtik rice hai yeh. Less sugar, more nutrition.
