    Love how you do your part to protect the resource and let the big fish go. Keep up the great work on your videos. They are very informative. I didn't see it in this video but one other one you had convinced me to get a Shimano Takota line counter reel. I have gotten so used to using spinning reels with the handle on the left that I decided to get the Takota 401 (left handed version). Works great now I just need to catch a fish with it.

    Planer Boards or whatever you do....I like them all. Explaining what you do, how, what with, etc. is a big plus to the viewer, especially someone new to catfishing like myself. TDhanks for sharing.

    I made a couple of planner boards a while ago and some of those dragging links, never used them, as soon as this lockdown ends I'm going to get out and give them ago. You've given me some great insight. Thank You.

    Great video buddy. One tip I can give you is go to academy sports and buy two 3ft drift socks and attach one on each side of the boat in the back. It will help you a ton keeping the boat straight.

    How do you like the longer handles on the BnM rods? I like the fact that you keep fish to eat, but keep the smaller fish. Thank you....

    • @hagengrubbsfishing
      @hagengrubbsfishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The long handles is probably my favorite part of the rod. Only reason I haven’t bought more is because I can’t keep reel seats tight. I know you have a few. Have you had this problem? I have even cranked them down with channel locks and they still backed off. Super glue works for a while but eventually even that broke loose. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Have you used a drift sock? That will help you alot when winds pick up. I usually use two of them when the winds hit 10mph or higher on the lakes down here in Texas. Great video as usual..

    • @hagengrubbsfishing
      @hagengrubbsfishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the action that they have as good as any and the price is right. The Only complaint I have with them is the reel seats don’t want to stay tight. Other than that they are great. Thanks for watching.

    There are several different sizes of planer boards. Which size is best for catfishing?

    • @hagengrubbsfishing
      @hagengrubbsfishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Imo bigger the better. That way you can suspend heavy baits and they will also work for dragging.

    Can you drift fish with planet board or do you have to go against current with trolling motor? River fishing

    • @hagengrubbsfishing
      @hagengrubbsfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to have resistance on the boards for them to work properly. I normally troll upriver when there is light current. Thank you for watching
