      the way that scag tackles tall grass is amazing I have a 36 scag walk behind with the advantage deck this season I'm going to mount a cam on the mower to shoot some video but check out some video I do have on my page

    Whenever I watch one your videos, I am amazed at the fact that you can apparently mulch the grass clippings so fine that there is no dead grass on the finished lawn. However, it seems that you must spend a lot of extra time and fuel with all the additional passes necessary to achieve the clean look.

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but ultimately it's not a lot of fuel either. For example I probably didn't even use $1 worth of gas on this one.

      @leonardo migot Oh yes, I bypassed that on the first week. It was driving me crazy.

      +Something 2LookAt nice my dad has an 02 access cab v6 2wd the 3.4L and that was what we started our business with too and I've like that truck since he got it new in late 2001. I just purchased my own in August an 04 double cab V8 4WD and that thing is a beast not good on gas lol but get's the job done very well

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      02to06TUNDRAFAN Mine is also a 2002. Just 2WD. I miss my 4x4. But my Tundra has kinda big tires and it goes through some pretty deep stuff. Btw, I sold my V8 Silverado because of the gas mileage. I can see still having this Tundra in 10 more years. Needs paint though.

    Do you ever run into any snakes in all that tall grass & weeds you be cutting & also how often do you sharpen your blades.

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Greg Wms Oh yea. I once hit a corn snake that was so big it stopped the mower. Not this mower, but a commercial 48 I used to have. Otherwise yes, there are snakes everywhere here. I see at least one every day. And I usually sharpen once a week. Just before all my pristine St. Augustine yards on Thursday and Friday.

    What blades are you using? That mower does a nice job. I have a kubota compact and I have 3 acres I only mow once a month.

  • @terencegillespie6675

    You have to cover it too many times. Get Meg Mo blades and cut your time on this kind of work way down. I have a vid about it even if my center blade was dull the day I did this one. Whackin' grass is Meg Mo's thing. 4 knives per spindle beats two at about everything including VERY tall weeds and trees, too. Zzzip tree's are over. My s800X Snapper will do more in less time. Sometimes some two tripping but not the whole thing and never like this one of yours. I feel sorry for you. Skag loos so cool but so does s800x. Low and mean, man.

    Turf tiger all day .... When do you ever go 16mph ? Unless ur running house to house in the neighborhood

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true. Just faster transport. And bragging rights I guess. But no, you don't ever even shift into high range actually while mowing.

    • @tjrusso582
      @tjrusso582 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Something 2LookAt yes loll just in case your competition challenges u to a drag race hahaha ... Keep up the good work... I love scag products .. I have a sw walkbehind and a 2015 turf tiger.. How have your transaxles held up .. No issue I hope Bc I know it's not the typical hydraulic set up like my TT has.

    So what $10,000 plus for that junk mower? Doesn't even have a bagger on it. Take this yard for example. You have to quad cut it or more to get it to look well, shitty. Then you have to spend all day with a hand rake and garbage bags. So you saved zero time with that overpriced mower. Could of bought a 30" Toro TimeMaster that actually comes with a BAG and been done hours ago. Saved you 9 plus thousand dollars. Yard all clean and nice looking. And lets not forget the massive ruts in the yard from that overpriced mower. Massive soil compaction and craters where you turn around. Which chokes out the root system. Loved the video though. Make more with high grass. Or just grass........ LOL

    • @brownmsoe
      @brownmsoe 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That type of mower does come with a bagger, he just did not have it on. I have cut large fields with a similar SCAG, although a walk behind, and bagging is really pointless for larger equipment.

    • @johnkramer7161
      @johnkramer7161 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A pos timemaster wouldn't have cut that, if it did you'd have to stop and empty the bag every 10 feet then find someplace to dump the clippings. You won't leave ruts if the ground is dry and you change direction every time you mow. And there are ways of turning zero turns without making craters

    • @mathteacher2651
      @mathteacher2651 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bought that 30" TimeMaster and returned it after two weeks because it could not push through my lawn. And I have a residential lawn and weeds like this yard. The Toro does have a beautiful cut, but there is no way it would cut through the yard just shown. Re-look at the video and stop it at 1:40 and look at how thick those weeds are - man, on a Toro you are looking at least 30 bags of clippings.You would be stopping every 25 feet to empty the bog. Remember that Toro is 190 cc.
