Another great episode guys! Loved getting to know Ms Pamela ❤I found this wonderful community through Kimberly Rhoades❤ I won’t go into detail how little house was my safe space has a young girl in the early 80s living through a very traumatic childhood. And to this day, 45 years later I watch little house every single day! My grandchildren call it Mimi’s show😂 Thank you so much for being a light for me and so many and continue to be! Much love and blessings to you Pamela, Allison and Dean❤ Ps, loving the Patreon content!
After the past couple of days with life being what it is i just want to say thanks. Thanks for making me laugh so hard...sorely needed and much appreciated. I had wondered how Pamela had come into the Little House fold...now i know. A great episode for sure!! Thanks again to you guys...now I am gonna have to go watch Living of a Prairie. That title reminds me of that 80s song Livin' on A Prayer...fun times for sure!
While I am delighted this episode is about Pamela, I thought this would be an interview with Allison’s husband at first. Can you make that happen? I’d love hearing his perspective on Allison’s fame and their experience with LHOP fans.
I watched Living on a Prairie not too long ago, was pretty good, wish it could have been a little longer, but I get it. And just to add there is something about Little House on the Prairie that I've kept with me from my childhood. I can't explain. I can say I never dreamed in years that I would be sitting here listening to a podcast and people still talk about the show! I love that!
These good family tv shows are transformative, like music. When I hear an old song that has a special meaning or memory tied to it, it takes me back to that time. When I watch the show or hear the theme song, it transforms me into my childhood, the "good ole days"...❤
Forgot to say: Pamela is so right about LHOTP being impactful. When I was 7 I met another little girl on the playground and we played "Little House" together. Wer're still best friends 45 years later!
I have watched little house since it originally aired. I remember, I can't remember the year, but little house was on for re-runs 3 times a day on 3 different channels, and during the summer I watched all 3 Monday through Friday...I couldn't get enough. !! Still to this day.... I watch my DVDs all the time😮😅😊
Please do an episode by episode podcast with relevant guests each week!! Talkville is a good example of this where they review each episode of Smallville. ❤
I would love that. There are many podcasts that do this successfully. Wouldn't be easy pulling relevant guests each week, but would love to hear Dean's and Allison's recap and thoughts.
@ yeh currently this podcast doesn’t have much direction and it’s just Alison and Dean talking and talking and talking all the time about their opinions and stuff we’ve already heard a hundred times. Given there is zero on-set footage or behind the scenes material of LHOTP, a podcast like TalkVille would be great. It would have to include each episode, (just like TalkVille for Smallville) our hero and anti-hero main characters (Melissa Gilbert and Alison), if Dean wanted to be included he would have to agree have minimal talking until his episodes aired given he wasn’t onset in the early seasons. He could do what Ryan(non-cast member) does on TalkVille though. So each podcast episode would begin with a summary of the episode plot. As it unfolds the cast add their comments and experiences SPECIFIC to that episode or scene of what they can remember (Smallville cast often say they just can’t remember and that’s ok), and then at the end they take 3 or 4 questions from fans SPECIFIC TO THE EPISODE. Yes it would be difficult to get relevant guests but the main players for the early seasons are all alive. Sometimes TalkVille will bring in the makeup artists or stunt doubles etc. I know a lot of cast and crew have passed away, but there are so many relevant cast who could be involved. A really good moderator/host needs to be appointed to stop Dean and Alison from talking and talking about random irrelevant stuff though. Maybe they could continue this podcast to get it out of their system and do a separate professional episode focused podcast. I am positive a more focused podcast like TalkVille would be way more popular with fans rather than this. I struggle to watch this podcast, not only because the recording quality is so poor sometimes but because there is just no focused direction or purpose. They attempt to have a focus but 5mins in it always turns into chit chat. It’s a legacy show which deserves a high quality episode by episode podcast before we lose the people who were there. I wish someone would dig up the footage and make behind the scenes documentary. Nobody has ever seen deleted scenes, more outtakes, candid moments.
Pamela Bob, I have watched "Livin' On A Prairie" multiple times. Can you write some more episodes? Maybe Dean can be in an episode. Maybe "Manly" is tired of being a farmer and ventures out for another type of job, food industry, maybe? Perhaps he works as a taste tester (think cinnamon chicken) for various food products. I think it would be hilarious.
I can relate to being a closet Bonnethead. I drive Uber and occasionally I bring up my obsession...I feel like I'm always acknowledging how odd it must sound to people! 😅

I remember the Little House episodes too in the 80's in reruns at 5PM.
