i haven't been here for a long time too because there's only so many times i can get entertained by a man putting his life on the line to be stung. i'm guessing they're expanding the channel to go the "Discovery channel" type route
I think you should mention how you equalize your ear pressure as you dive down up to 20 feet and equalize coming up to the surface. That is an important part of free-diving. If you don't equalize the ear pressure barotrauma or blackout can occur. And never dive alone. Congrats on PADI mermaid certification!!! You look fabulous!!!
Great video, Christina's narration was done really well, too! I have an insane fear of the ocean, so there's no way I would get anywhere near it, but I still love watching videos about it for some reason.
This was a fascinating change for this channel. I always love the normal content this page posts but this was a fun change. Well done, Brave Wilderness.
The fictional mermaids would be drawn to ship wrecks and drag sailors to the bottom of the sea drowning them. And the sea water would pickle the meat for the mermaid's feast. Mermaid's singing to lure ships with sailors came along later on. Likely this lore came from the Sirens. Sirens are not part fish like Mermaids they are part bird and are landbased creatures as their songs lure sailors to crash their ships upon the rocks of coastlines which is where the Sirens live.
We use to put those plastic circle dive rings over our ankles and swam like mermaids in my neighbors pool. We also use to flip backwards into the pool, and none of our parents were worried about how we played.
Please make another book I’ve read your other books beAST of bites King of the Sting in brave aventures like 10 times each so please make another book thank you
Great video! I hope to see coyote in some more videos though. I think you should explore a rainforest again! You haven’t done that in a while coyote. I’ve been watching you since I was 4 years old! Can’t wait to see what you come up with for the next video!
it’s always so fun to do this(i have my own that i use in lakes and pools) but it’s also weird when i take the tail off to swim normally. i have to readjust to not needing as much muscle. it’s just weird to have two legs instead of a tail, especially after wearing it for a while.
Hiii you guys are very motivational thank you for your teaching coyote and mark and the crew its been 4 years i've been listening to you i have been enjoying your teaching thank you so much Love you be BRAVE STAY WILD WE'LL SO YOU ON THE NEXT ADVENTURE 🤠😉
I honestly don't appreciate this video. Your content has went from super clean to this. I would NOT watch this with my dad or brothers. Like all channels, I feel like they get big and famous and then their content takes a drastic change. I've watched you for like four years now, so it's not like I came here just to hate on you. Just trying to give advice!
I could see why you need to be able to save a diver at depths of 20 feet to be a mermaid , because mermaids did just that , they saved sailors that went overboard in some cases , not all mermaids were evil .
As a mermaid, thank you for highlighting that it's more than just putting a "costume" on! Mermaiding has become so popular that a lot of people who are new to the hobby don't realize the risks involved in swimming with their legs bound together. It can absolutely be worn as a costume, but swimming in a tail requires being a good swimmer at bare minimum, and being a professional mermaid performer requires certifications. I'm aiming on getting my PADI certification next summer!
I love the mix of mythology and useful information about what it actually takes to safely be in the water with the mermaid tail. Christina does such a great job with it. Plus, I love how colorful and vibrant the episode is 😍🤩😍🤩
Not just cuz i'm a dude who likes pretty girls, but this was a good toss in to entertain the young and old girls alike, clever, i'm sure they loved it. To those complaining, it's like any other show, if you don't like the topic that day, skip it, simple.
I liked to swim with the exact motion when 13 , at our free time to warm up before PE started. ( Our PE Hall was so old and collapsing we had either to be outdoors or swim - well until the roof collapsed (1995 I think) or ice skate when it was to hot or cold. I' d love to even try diving flippers. Sadly I am sure they are not allowed in closed swimming pools - even if I rent a lane - and I am no where near the strength and endurance to go into the Danube.... I only picked up swimming again after 2 decades 3 weeks ago. Also I guess they will be expensive...not even to speak of a mermaid tail.
Another boring video…You guys can do way better than this. Bring back the good old days of this channel with Coyote and Mark doing their things together. 🤦♂️
Man Woman Wild was one of the best shows. Coyote and Cristina should take the adventure to the wilderness. Coyote should start by taking Cristina to watch him get bitten by an alligator
What adventures do you want to see Christina go on next?!
Christina and coyote search fir tide pool creatures😍
FIRST
@@Ahhsbe no the guy ahead was

She should try and make wings, so she could fly, like an eagle to the sea.
This is an interesting direction the channel has taken..
I haven't watched in a long time and I'm so confused.
Came here just to unsubscribe
And that direction is kind of terrible

Coyote sure looks different in this episode.
he could have joined in
he just woke up wrong
I think he got a haircut!
lol
came here to say this
I love Christina as a biologist and her free diving training as a Mermaid.
Looking forward to future episodes featuring Christina.
Me too!
He shaved.
When I had a notification pop up I half expected to see Coyote with a tail lmao
now that would be interesting
@@NecroxProduction Very.
Dang Coyote, you sure do look different these days.
He transitioned
@@catholicwife TBH all trans people probably wish they could transition that drasticly, that fast lmao🤣

She has such a great attitude and enthusiasm! I'm so happy she's part of ur show.
I miss the old videos where coyote would jump off docks for snapping turtles
Look into herping channels. Some are pretty good
@@snake4683 i think your missing the point
@@simonaddington No i understand i miss the old videos too but it kind of introduced me to that more obscure genre.
Scram imposter unholy scream
“Getting Stung By The Tarantula Hawk!”, “Getting Bit By A Snapping Turtle!”, “Turning into a Mermaid!”
Christina looks so majestic underwater. She's so pretty! and the flowy red hair too!

love watching this channel right before bed. educational, fun, & calming !!
Christina is such a great addition to the team! I’m really glad she’s apart of this!
I used to be excited to learn something new whenever this channel uploaded…
@Flare yes since the Bigfoot video I didn’t like the videos anymore
@Flare just watched it, when was he rude?
I am always excited to see content like this because I'm interested in mermaid

Coyote I know that your worst fear is the fear of centipedes but your true worst fear is dressing up as a merman.
Oooooor a very good cam or monocular for my wildlife expeditions? Pls answer😢.
I like that this channel is trying new ideas. Wasn’t there a ghost hunting video released around Halloween?
There was! Where’d it go?!
BRUH When I saw this I was like “for kids birthday parties?”😂
Oh wow I didn't know the mermaids organized to help clean up the oceans, too. That's awesome!

I liked seeing all of the fish! Mythology is very interesting, I did like hearing about mermaids. Christina did a great job being a mermaid.
How did she dive down with those two floaters
OF link?
on next episode we want to see Coyote as a mermaid ;D
Same!
Sameeeeeeeee
Can we be friends if you don't mind?
Nice to see Christina be the host of the video 🙂👍🧜♀️
And while we are surfing, we are always afraid to look like seals or turtles to the sharks, i'm definitely not putting on a fish tail lmao
I like these kind of episodes, that go into exploring mythology in our current world. Plus with a life saving lesson. Keep it up Christina 💪🏻👍🏻
Thanks for showing the details about how you learned. I need to teach my kid and their friends to stay safe while underwater.
Haven't watched in a while STRAIGHT UP EPIC this is awsome
A solo Christina video!! I love Christina so much. She's a quick learner and has a joyful but confident disposition
Thanks so much for those kind words! Christina was a fantastic student and did FINtastically!

i want to thank the camera man/woman for making it more interesting
This would have been perfect with Cayote as a pirate (I was also kinda hoping for Merman Cayote)
My daughter was very excited while watching this one. Nice addition to the repertoire!
Super interesting, look forward to more like this.
Congratulations on becoming a real-life mermaid, Christina!!
She got stuck in her 8 year old princess phase
Also the like to dislike ratio is actually hilarious

Dang 1:45 very impressive. I suspect the mermaid certification is more difficult than a PADI open water certification. Way to go.
Physically and mentally, definitely. Intellectually it may be easier...
No.
Anyone can get it and it's ridiculously easy
I love seeing Christina as a host I’d love to see more from her :) Ngl It would be cool to do this myself mermaids are very interesting to me

Why did I think this would be about Coyote training to be a mermaid xD
cause it needs to happen
Mermaids has a cool job! The earth thanks you! Also, Good job Christina! You are inspiring person to take on these difficult challenges.

Me still waiting for the gang to do a video with capybaras.

It would be frightening to see a real life dolphin tail on a person, but they would have strong abs.

Wow man, I did not expect to see a video like this on Brave Wilderness, but I like it! 🧜🏻♀️
