I am from 2019 June Batch.. I am sharing my experience below...
1. It's only a notes dictation class without any explanations. Only Western Thinkers was explained.
2. 5 Registers filled (each of 300 pages)
3. Course duration was 6 months (10 June 2019 to 20 November 2019) which is too much for an optional.
4. It took 1.5 month to complete Western Thinkers. Although she explained it a little bit.
5. Even after 6 months she was not able to complete the course (only 70% course covered).
6. So, Handwritten Photo Copied Notes were given for IGP (Paper 1 -Part B) which were difficult to read because of poor handwriting.
7. Same was done for some other topics as well.
8. Jayesh sir taught well. But he taught only a few topics of IR like India's relations with its neighbours.
9. Each class consisted of 700 students approx. If you come 30 mins early then you will be able to get front seats. Otherwise watch it on the TV from the back or middle.
10. Test series were not included in the regular course. For which you have to pay separately. And same for the Crash Course.

No, bro she was correct , and not extreme i also gave up on classes. I was july 2022 batch student. and it never ended , i failed mains 2023 all courtesy to shubhra ma'am. never completing syllabus on time is never ending love story of ma'am.
Rahul Puri sir is a gem! His understanding on IR is just unbelievable. He is also very friendly and very approachable.

Also I must say Rahul sir always says that writing pages of content is not useful as you WON'T remember anything in the end, which is why I attest to the fact that his notes are crisp and to the point, no beating around the bush

Bhaiya, I'm going to start my first year from KMC college, DU, persuing B.A. Political Science Honours. I'm thinking of starting my PSIR optional preparation from the first year onwards and then move on to GS preparation in the remaining years, along with Optional revision. I feel, it would be easy for me to focus on just one subject, POL. SCIENCE (Both in college and UPSC) in the beginning instead of going for GS (Which obviously will require study of different subjects along with college studies) and also completing Optional in the beginning would ensure that I don't have to do anything else for it in the future, just revision and test series would be enough.
So, I want to ask if this is a good strategy, or I should do something else?
Unique’s study material is quite dense. It’s good for preparing answers. Also, their tests series is challenging and evaluation is very detailed. They even provide model answers of tests.

SR is literally the worst managed institution. They seldom reply to emails. The management way too rude, I once complained about something. They told me, "Nahi hoga, jisko bhi bulana hai bulao"
The crash course has no point. I wasted 20000 in crash course. For no reason she makes us write 8 pages answer for a 10 marker question. I have stopped watching them now.
The evaluation is worst. I know a friend who haven't written mains but is evaluating. They don't give any value judgements, but copy paste from solution booklet.
Evaluation takes 2-3 weeks. No mentorship

Firstly yes Shubhra ma’am’s notes will serve as the base of your preparation you’ll to value add from other sources like topper copies, test series etc
Secondly I’d advice you not restrict yourself in a timeline if you’re doing it for the first time on your own. Focus on building concepts. I think 4months is enough time to do it, don’t get worried if it takes a little more time.

Bharat sir is the world best teacher for polity💝 me kohi promotion nahi kar raha ho, mera khud PSIR optional ki student ho. Sir ka note around 600 pages and it cover more then 90% question in exam. I am very happy💝🥰 Because of Bharat sir in PSIR

WPT is core of syllabus and most difficult that's why this section deserve more time especially for non pol. Sci. Student
I don’t think spending 3 months on WPT IS worth it. We don’t want stories, there no marks for it neither you’ll get space, explain us the notes that’s it’s. No timepass

Seriously S.R me jake sirf hota h wo h regret, 80% bachho ko smjh nhi aata h ma'am kya pdha rhi h. Bs likhte jaao likhte jao wo bhi faltu ke questions. Likhwati h ma'am. 10 marks ke questions ka 4-5 page ke notes hote h.. abhi april se start hui thi batch. Abhi aug. Ho gya h wpt hi nhi khtm ho paya h . Socho aage kya hoga hm logo ka😮 . Bhai mai to yhi bolunga agr likhna hi h to tum khud se toppers copy aur ma'am ke notes leke short notes bna lo. Yaha aane se acha h. Time bchega + ye faltu ke drama se bhi bch jaoge.

Sir, Sunya Or shubhra mam dono ke batches 21 August ko chalu hone wale hai. Ne khud confused hu konse classes join karu. Sunya ke fees 12k hai, shubra mam ke to aapko pta hai. Or upper se ghar wale force krr rhe hai ke shubra mam ke classes lagoa kyuki vo jyada time padha rhe hai or fees bhi jyada hai mtlb kuch to accha hoga. Pls reply sir

Hi, Saab bol rahe he ki subhra mam ka notes achha he...bet there is a lot of confusion ki netes kaha se le.. yeh koi nehi batata...koi bol raha he ki prined le lo. Koi bol raha he ki handwritten le lo...aur sabka notes bi different he...mereko bhi online ek site se notes ka pdf mila.. aap thoda authentic baat bole...So I can trust you.. please do a favour so that it will help lots of aspiranta...agar koi online notes lena chahe toh kaha se le aur keise pata chalega ki wo authentic he ya nehi.

Shubhra ma’am’s notes are just basic, you’ll have to do value addition from topper copies/ notes/ ca but first build your base from ma’am’s notes

Crash course test series is good but don’t expect very prompt checking, it will take around 10 days minimum. Don’t expect that ma’am or Satya sir will check so marks will vary. The questions are really good and model are decent for value addition of your notes
Some other test series can be of Piyush Chaubey starting in October, civilsfront psir just started, then topper Utkarsh Dwivedi also joined vision ias for psir

Her recent notes just seems exaggerated. Pointless additions are made, refer to her previous notes, limited content and in an easy language. And psir as a subject just requires presence of mind, noone can instill concepts in your mind until and unless you read read and read.

Yes and one more thing as you mentioned she took some time on wpt you are right but at the same time you cannot deny the fact that without understanding wpt one can't understand the political theory portion. I know they say 6 months(now 7) is the duration of course but took 9 to complete the same.
