Argentina didn’t really threaten the Irish defence we held out pretty well. I always find it strange if Ireland are better in one half that no matter what team they’re playing if they are better in the other half we are somehow not worthy of our win. It’s difficult to listen to the whining media , it’s time for us to get behind these guys and quit the moaning and enjoy. Start with this program. We’ve lost two tries in two weeks thats something to be positive about.

Eddie O'Sullivan is an excellent pundit and brings the unique insight of a coach.

Seems a lot more honest than what he used to bring first time I can remember thinking he's got very good points

You wouldnt mind Ireland being a bit flat 3yrs out from a world cup. We need to time it properly this time.

Ireland turned down two kickable penalties in the second half and stupidly went for the corner, even the Crowley drop goal came from kicking to the corner after messing it up.

When there is no video can you get another background so I don't have to look at Joe Molloy's smug face?

Far from a rugby expert, in fact quite the casual, but does no one think this higher penalty count and wasteful attack is linked to the new (very questionable) defensive style that the south african coach has brought to Leinster.
The line speed is one thing, that probably effects energy and maybe makes second halves far more difficult than they should be and maybe make it harder to attack due to energy being used in the extreme defence. But thereis good logic to the line speed at least.
However, what is this malarky all about when we're crashing into rucks non stop. I get it pressurises scrum halves and opposing players securing the ruck.. but it also makes the rucks extremely messy , lads lying on wrong side, no clear off side line and also them marginal calls where tackler is on wrong side but about to roll away but then some Irish fella over aggresively ploughs into a ruck and now the ref has to penalise the initial tackler that he may have given another half second to to roll away.

Too many penalties ? That the first I’ve heard of that !

Virgin coverage of the match itself was very poor. During breaks in play they would focus on one player an them leave us looking at him for an age after the pundits had moved on to something else. They also failed to show replays of most passages that would have benefited from them. Really awful.

Too many leinster pundits in the studio including Williams. I don't rate Kearney or Horgan as pundits, they have an arrogance about them that I don't like.

Argentina looked like they took a lot from how NZ nullified our phase play attack in the second half by obstructing ruck support players. England were very animated when NZ players were doing it to them and drew the referee’s attention, Ireland need to hit the obstructing players and fall down because any slowing of the support offers an opportunity for a turnover. Joe Smith will have Australia doing the exact same thing. Argentina could not exit in the first half offering lots of attacking opportunities, they fixed it in the second half. Discipline is work on, I would move some more senior guys to bench roles to finish strong. I love how Ireland can up the intensity and punish teams when they are carded, lots of teams have conceded more or were unable to score with the man advantage. Playing the referee is also a work on. Lots of examples of that issue. Very inconsistent refereeing across all the matches. RSA got a yellow for the 9th penalty in a row in the second half against England, lineout, breakdown, blocking lines, scrums not consistently referred but all the more reason to do your homework, have a plan and modify on the go if needed. Where the ref doesn’t police the gap in a line out use that to steal ball as it’s also an opportunity
