Thank you for the excellent videos showing China to people around the world. You are so friendly and respect other people and cultures. I am glad that most of my fellow Chinese treat you well and make you feel comfortable. As a Chinese living in Canada, I have many Indian classmates. They are really friendly and helpful.
China and India were friends thousands of years ago. And China is blessed to have India as a neighbor. We learned a lot from your great country and people, especially the Buddhism. Since Eastern Han dynasty, Buddhism spread to China and became a very important part of our culture. Nowadays, there are many Chinese fans of Bollywood movies.
I really hope more and more people like you become the bridge between China and India and reduce the misunderstandings between these two great nations.
Have good trips wherever you go and Happy New Year.🎆🎆

Beautiful , and also informative . Bodhidarma was a prince of Southern India . He leaned Kalaripayaattu . Once Sanatan dharma had great influence on Asia and southern part of Europe . But China denies it . Buddha was himself a hindu and Buddhism is a part of Sanatan dharm . Shaolin is also influenced by Kalari . Many Indian scholar like Atish Dipankar went China to improve their Gyan on Buddha dharma . Bodhidharma also known in Japan as Dhamu . It's nice and entertaining video .

14:43 Guayin is Avalokiteshwara in Chinese and one of the most popular deities in Chinese Buddhism. Actually Buddhism in China predates Buddhism in Tibet and it is an different branch of Buddhism from Tibetan Buddhism even though there are common practices. Buddhism seems to have arrived in China around 3-4 century through silk route by skipping Tibet while Buddhism to Tibet was bought by Acharya Shantirakshita in 7th century and later revived by Acharya Atisha Dipamkara Srijana in 10th century. Chan Buddhism influence can be seen in China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan while the Tibetan Buddhism is usually called Vajrayana and is prevalent in Himalayan region of India, Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia, Bhutan and parts of Russia

@@saraths3140 In the legend, the Indian monk Bodhidharma traveled to China in the 5th century AD, where he established the earliest form of Zen Buddhism and taught martial arts in the Shaolin Monastery. In reality, this legend comes from "Yijin Jing", a 17th century fictional qigong manual, written by a Taoist with the pen name, "Purple Coagulation Man of the Way". Historians have discredited the manual as a legitimate source on the grounds of anachronistic errors, absurdities and fantasy claims. For example, in the manual, a fictional character named Bushy Bearded Hero was recorded as lineage master. In addition, a popular twentieth century fantasy novel, The travels of Lao Ts'an, promoted wide spread association between Bodhidharma and martial arts. Contrary, Shaolin records do not credit Bodhidharma as the progenitor of Shaolin martial arts. As of late, there is no accurate historical record of Bodhidharma, historians debated if the person existed at all.

< kungfu logo is Taoism sign>
This kungfu功夫 (and Wuxia武俠 and Xianxia仙俠 )are about Taoism culture and Chinese philosophy. Chinese Kung Fu is also Taoism. kungfu sign (logo) is Taoism. Kung Fu etiquette action is yin and yang (fist and palm). And Chinese Buddhism is also added by a large number of Taoism and Confucian culture. This can be accepted by the Chinese.
The real monk Buddhists do not do learning kung fu(will do some fitness exercises). Buddhists let go of all desires. Do not kill and any attacks. They read the scriptures every day. Live a quiet life.
(The biggest impact of Buddhism on China is to convince Chinese people to believe in the reincarnation after death. The work of the ancient monk is responsible for the funeral ceremony. So Buddhist monks are respected. This is why they will not be killed in the war.)
The kungfu monks of the ancient Shaolin Temple were the hidden secrets of the Chinese emperor in ancient . They gathered many kung fu artists from different Chinese cities. They obeyed the emperor's command. They needed them to dispatch during the war.
No kung fu master in Chinese history is Buddhist monks. Some kung fu monks have the status of Chinese officers.
      *
Today, the Kung Fu monk of Shaolin Temple is commercial. They spend a lot of time learning Kung Fu. They also founded Shaolin Kungfu School, etc. attracting a large number of martial artsists (also some underworld members) to become monk teachers. Many Chinese parents send those bad children and children with weak bodies to Shaolin Temple Learning kung fu. Everyone shave their heads. They are not real Buddhists. They are temporary. It is not a lifetime.
(China rarely kung fu schools. Because many kung fu masters are unwilling to accept students, the process of begging is very difficult)
A large number of kung fu performances and Shaolin Temple Kung Fu School of Shaolin Temple. Many of these fake monks have become rich people. Some monks from Shaolin Temple are still owners of many companies.
There are very few real Buddhists in China (there are many fake Buddhists). Because the Chinese are Taoist consciousness of realism (so they are very hardworking), but at the same time, the reincarnation reincarnation that the Chinese believe in.
      *
Taoism has formed Chinese culture and Chinese philosophy. (Heaven)
Confucianism regulates the moral concepts and etiquette of the Chinese. (Human world)
Buddhism affects the concept of life and death of the Chinese. (hell)
Because the initial kungfu wixia novels were very successful (1960). Later, they were made into many classic wixia TV series. And Jet Li's movie "Shaolin Temple" (1982). It was very successful to enter the international. He became a famous kung fu star.
Later, Chinese wixia novels will join Shaolin Temple Kung Fu monks. Become one of the fixed plots of wixia novels.
      -----------------------
      * Chinese Buddhism and Indian Buddhism are different. Chinese Buddhism is popular in East Asia.
Chinese Buddhism is 3 religious combinations 1 . 三教合一 .
      ( 道Taoism+儒Confucianism+釋Buddhism ).
Simple Indian Buddhist ? ancient Chinese do not accept it.

@@aryanchakraborty5175 I said post a real proof that he learnt Martial arts from Kerala...
      1. He belongs to Pallava Dynasty so there's no such thing called "Kerala" in 6th CE.
      2. Pallavas and Chozhas are well known for their Engineering, Architecture and war skills. (If you have any doubt, go visit Mahabalipuram of Pallavas and Tanjore temple and Kallanai of Chozhas). So martial skills were already in their gene.
      3. Kung-fu is a martial arts that involves attack and defence mechanisms using staves, which is much connected with "Silambaatam" of Thamizhnaadu.
So if you have a strong proof that Bodhidharman learnt martial arts from Kerala, prove it...
Or just go and study your so called 2nd grade History books.
Dont blabber anything here without knowing proper history...

Around 40 years ago, the GDP of China and India were almost same but now the GDP of China is 5 times that of India. Initially they attracted foreign tech giants by providing special economic zones with cheap labour and vast market(ease of buisness). This provided employement to their population and also they simultaneously got trained and learned foreign technology. They kept on investing all the capital generated in infrastructure developement by building good schools, hospitals, roads,railways,etc.. Initially, it didn't shown any visible signs of economic boom but later gave unimaginable returns shifting it into a self-propelled economy. We should not be astonished to see that the status of superpower shifts from US to China. Bharat is lagging behind due to its immature democracy, lack of real nationalism (China's people and its gov worked hard patiently with a clear long term aim showing their dedication to their nation), our foreign policy mainly centered on pakistan, friction between layers of society and the list goes on. We once had the oldest and most advanced ancient civilisations and kingdoms when no other country even knew c of civilisation but now.....
