As a Bhutanese my obvious would be
1.India - Elder Brother since the beginning of our history.
2.Japan & S.Korea - Supported us with Infrastructure Development. - Innovation technology provider.
3. Thailand - Respect between our Monarchs.
4. Kuwait- Enlightened thousands of Youth with Employment opportunities.
5. Bangladesh & Nepal - Great trade relation.
6. Australia & Canada- Gave better life to thousands.
I remember the King and Queen visiting Japan after the Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011. It was a big event. The King made a powerful speech in the National Diet (i.e. Parliament) live on TV. His speech was so inspirational and moving, it would be remembered for decades.
Not to be disrespectful to any country, but looking at travel frequency, I suspect Bhutan and Thailand are actually one of the few countries that Japanese Imperial Family members enjoy visiting.

I have been to Bhutan once with my father and we bought vegetables there and I often see vehicles with Bhutanese number plates in my District.

I'm Australian and we have many Bhutanese living in my city of Perth. I really like the Bhutanese people, they dont get a easy life when they arrive in Australia, the government restricts their working rights and they have to pay high student fees. Often times the are relegated to jobs such as cleaning and uber driving. I have much respect for the people of Bhutan, I wish our government could be kinder toward you. If you choose to come to Australia I wish you the very best. I will be coming to Bhutan in two weeks and I am very excited!!!

I'm honestly surprised by their English. A lot of Asian countries are overlooked when it comes to speaking English, and I'd include Bhutan being one of them. Though most of them were able to converse surprisingly well!

Bhutanese, like Chinese are very mostly pragmatic sensible people. The would along along well with Indians and Chinese or anyone . However there are not many connections between Bhutan and China due to Bhutan having to be sensitive to Indias intense fear of China.
