I’d be happy with a Scout to customize for fun, an FTR to rip on, a Chief for back highway weekend trips, and a Challenger for those cross country trips. Coincidentally, how are you on loaning money to strangers on the internet? Haha
You can turn your throttle forward on an Indian because it's a quick method of disengagement of the cruise control. After a while you don't even notice it.
Was told 3 to 6 weeks 3.5 weeks ago. Still says “BEING PLANNED” on my Shipment Status. I wonder if they knew they’d sell but didn’t anticipate how well ha.
You're supposed to be able to turn the throttle forward because that's how you cancel the cruise control. Chief DH is a 116 and with the 116 stage 2, power is around 95hp/115ftlb at the wheel. With an aftermarket tune, that becomes 110ish/130ish pretty quick.
Yeah I figured afterwards it had something to do with cruise control. Thanks for the clarification. Stage 2 is definitely a must. I don’t think I’d do anything past that just because of reliability and ride ability.
Looks like the one you were riding has a Stage 2 upgrade. I ordered that for mine. Did the exhaust sound good or am I still going to be looking for some pipes after in your opinion?
Hopefully, you have your bike by now and are happy with it, but for others, here's a vid of 116 with stage 2 kit on a 2019 chieftain (but should be the same cams as the chief's 116 stage 2). th-cam.com/video/auJXNCEYjnw/w-d-xo.html
@@SmallButMightyx yea that extra 3 inches is a killer LOL don't get me wrong, I love the bike, and I was looking at the stage 2 kit. Thanks for demoing it

@@chazlyle41 My dream collection is an old kickstart motorcycle, something similar to the FTR, then your typical cruiser.
I want to get this as my first bike. Would you recommend it for new riders? Chief and challenger are my favorite Indians
@@sampakpahan6749 There is only one reason I could justify recommending this bike to a beginner. That reason is rider modes.
@@SmallButMightyx yes that's a strong selling point
@deputy_small If this is the Dark Horse, this is a Thunderstroke 116, 116 ci. The Regular Indian Chief is the Thunderstroke 111.
He states this at 0:05
@@Texas240 when the video came out I believe he said it was the Thunderstoke 111.

They need to deliver mine! I’m growing impatient watching these videos!
You got one?! Congrats man. That’s one hell of a bike. Money well spent.

@@chazlyle41 After riding the Chief I don’t doubt it. They also did a wonderful job marketing that bike with using TH-camrs.

Such a fun bike!
It sounded like you didn't have it in sport mode the way you were describing the lack of throttle response and dead zone at the beginning of the ride.
I thought I checked but it’s possible. Bike was still a blast to ride!

The 116 is already quick/fast as fk! (for a cruiser)…. I can’t wait to see what Stg 2 feels like!
@@AskaFam stage 2 was an absolute blast. And it was Indians stage 2. Can’t imagine what aftermarket feels like!
@@SmallButMightyx amaze-balls! 😍
Umm the regular scout has 100hp to the wheel and the 116 has 120hp

It was weird. I didn’t notice the exhaust until I heard someone else rev the bike. That’s when I noticed it was aftermarket. It looked like a slip on.

Sport mode.
I think I test rode this exact bike with the stage 2. Must be the same demo truck? Either way, I loved it and want one.
Yeah it was probably the same demo truck. This bike was fun that’s for sure.
for reference, how tall are you? I am 5.5 and I feel like i lean to the bars a lot. I am thinking 5 " bars would fix that
I’m about 5’8 and I was leaned forward slightly. Nothing too crazy
