Straight from the mystery box, here is Heatwave!
Thanks to House for loaning me his combiner wars Blades. Blades was a joy to animate.
Also thank you to my 3-year-old nephew who loaned me his newer (smaller) version of Heatwave. I hope my bro let's you watch the movie and see the toy in action.

Hey,better late than ever! Fantastic review! My vote goes to Blurr. I was wondering what camera you're using?
Night Magnus Productions, I use a Nikon D80. It's an SLR camera that's about 9 years old. I usually use a long 200 mm lens with it. The camera sits on a tripod about seven or eight feet from the setup. This gives me room to manipulate everything and get out of the frame. The camera is connected to a laptop via a long USB cable and I use the laptop to activate the shutter and preview my work.

I really hope they make Generations style figures of Heatwave, Chase, Boulder, and Blades. That show was my introduction to transformers, and I really like the show.
Side Note: that Optimus and Bumblebee were my first transformers.
That could be nice, but I would becontent If Rescue bots remains strictly kid level friendly.

I really wished these charaters got proper figures with articulation
Maybe someday in about 20 or 30 years there will be masterpiece versions of these rescue bot toys
Well now there is at least of chase but hopefully the rest of the charecters come soon
I honestly wouldn't mind getting that version of Rescue Bots Optimus Prime. It's like a simplified version of the G1 toy.
Also I choose the Blurr figure.
RileyTNT, Some of those rescue bots were re-releases of the original RB toys with "Energize" parts that were translucent blue. If you take a second look at Prime, he had translucent blue fists and legs. Thanks you for voting for Buzzing (aka Blurr). That's 2 votes for Blurr and 1 vote for the mystery box.

Thanks. Part of what I'm trying to do in these animations is to improvise and use whatever materials are at hand. Recycling bags and blue elastic bands for water, dryer lint for smoke (also good for starting campfires), and gift bag tissue paper for fire. Even the cardboard stage and paper rolls are about being direct, hands-on, and using what is available. Some day I might use green screen effects but I'm happy with the home-made effects for now.
Lately whenever I'm working overtime, or editing animations, I throw on a youtube mix playlist of Hall and Oates. So I must admit, it's kind of stuck in my head during the last couple of months. I wish I though of drawing a sharpie mustache on one of the little firefighter guys. Dang.
You wouldn't happen to be voting for the mystery box because you've already did reviews of sooo many combiners and a review of titans return Blurr...? (by the way, that Blurr review was so much fun) Regardless, with your choic, the Mystery Box pulls ahead with 4 votes, followed by Cyclonus with 3, and Blurr with 2.
my little brother was in the rescue bot demographic when it came out, I have found memories of watching it with him
Yeah, its a lot of fun. My son and I enjoyed it. I like the fact that it's about people as much as there are robots in it.

I just dug out my original heatwave from the bottom of my grandma’s toy box, he’s been sitting there for nearly 9 years, seeing him again brought back so many great memories . I’m taking him back with me when I leave on Sunday.

Mark Mc Donnell, I did not know there was a G1 Blades. Was he part of the protectobots? I just figured that he only came out for combiner wars. Wait... I'm think I'm getting that confused with the helicopter they added to the Combiner Wars aerial bots. They were supposed to be all jets. I may have over-compensated a bit with the animation and the length of the video in response to HEATWAVE being so simple. Thank you for voting for the mystery box. The rising and falling paper towel rolls are a great touch, as are many other things in these reviews.
I have no real opinions on Rescue Bots but I do want to say I feel like Hall And Oates are more pop-soul, but I guess it depends on the track. :)
Yeah, you're right, there is a lot of soul in there too. I don't think I've ever heard the term, pop-soul though.
I've seen them referred to as 'white soul' but I prefer terms that refer to the music rather than the musicians. But music genre names is a whole world of controversy, greater perhaps even than things like Rumble Is Red etc...
You are right. Labelling the work of musicians is far more controversial than Rumble is red.
So happy that you brought in CW Blades I hate this line but I was actually able to enjoy watching this review of a rescue bots figure .Mystery Box
Lazer Daz Studios, I agree that having CW Blades in the video makes it more bearable. I don't own any CW limbs, so I borrowed this guy from my good friend. The rescue bot toyline is not for everyone. I think ages 3-6 is more their target audience.

fishpop, My wife would have liked to get the original versions for our son when he was young, but after a while they became quite impossible to find. I think she was able to complete the group by finding them on eBay some years ago.

this heatwave is the first Speed Stars rescue bot there is also Bumblebee optimus prime and chase and that big heatwave toy is a mega but it's similar to the Power Bots

Well when I was penalized for a year and for Christmas I got heat wave I have loved them since I was 7 and I'm 13 now

i loved rescue bots and i felt that each of them should have gotten at least a deluxe toy
