I agree with Emily about nuts. So many people are afraid to eat even an ounce of nuts per day because of all the fear mongering that can occur in the plant based community about nuts and seeds. I understand that for some individuals even one nut can be a trigger. For me, if I remove a whole food group like nuts, I am more likely to overeat it if I get my hands on it. So I allow myself small amounts each day. I follow Dr. Dean Ornish’s suggestion (from his web site) to have 3 servings per day of nuts and/or seeds that equal or are under 3 grams of fat per serving. One low-fat food serving (less then 3 GM fat) equals :5 almonds, or 9 pistachios, or 1 whole walnut, or 3 pecan halves, or 2 cashews. Or 6 peanuts (no shell) or 2.5 tsp flax seed ground, or 2 tsp chia seed or sunflower seed, shelled, or 1.5 tsp pumpkin seed Three or less servings from low fat foods or nuts can be included per day. This suggestion works for me and so I can have nuts and or seeds with each meal and not over do it.
I am also on that same page regarding nuts. Have found if I have a few each day like sprinkled on my salad-stretches it quite a lot then I don’t see weight gain if I only have them once a year. Thank you for commenting on this!
Wow. So happy to learn about your story, Emily! You truly are a success story!🌟 Working with Emily as a coach has been amazing. She has helped me so much on this journey. Watching Emily help Liz from 'Full and Fulfilled' break her plateau showed me that Emily was the perfect coach for me!❤
I made Emily’s gravy last night and it is the best gravy I have ever tasted! I am so thrilled - this will be a staple. Even my husband who isn’t WFPB loved it.
Does anybody know how I get can get the Japanese BBQ sauce from Heather McDougall that she was talking about? I can't find it on the website or you tube.
It wouldn't be surprised if eating the way we eat might have prevented her from her earlier health issues. Since it is less inflammatory, one would probably have, overall, less all types of health issues. I know this has been true for me.
Can I pls. ask this...why does veggie broth that I make kind of bitter? I use all the leftover chopped up, peelings, ends and edges of veggies. They all go in a slow crockpot for an hr @least. Thanks
I love so many recipes from our plant based people but why must nutritional yeast (toxic stuff) go in every recipe? Research nutritional yeast. It’s not nutritional.

I love beans. Thanks for this!
Not sure what I did, but for me too much pepper and salt. Like to balance the herbs somehow. Not bad!

I searched that website and it wasn't on there .@@CHEFAJ
Where can I get the recipe.?
Look under the description under the video and click "more:" which will expand the description. Then scroll down and the recipe is all there.

Funny it’s showing Burger King as the sponsor for this segment.

Don't include things such as cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli. They can cause your broth to turn bitter
I stick with using carrot, celery and onion scraps only. And it’s very good!@@KM-rh3df
