So a small addendum about the Year of Disaster for the Dutch (1672).
The Dutch, Swedish and British had an alliance to mediate between the French and Spanish if they were to fight against eachother (the Triple Alliance).
So, the French walked through the bishoprics of Munster and Cologne to circumvent the Spanish Netherlands (current-day Belgium) so not to trigger the Austrian Emperor to join on the Dutch side.
in the meantime, the British had forged a pact with the French to attack the Dutch Republic so they could break the Dutch trade monopoly and grab some territories. They also managed to get the Swedes to leave the Triple Alliance.
So yeah, the French invaded but the Netherlands suddenly only had Brandenburg as an ally to count on, and was basically only saved because in 1673 Spain and Lorraine joined on their side, and in 1672 Austria and the rest of the HRE declared war on France while England, Munster and Cologne switched sides. Sweden kept fighting with the French.

7:20 I’ve also never actually seen someone unironically try to say we didn’t lose vietnam. I’ve seen people say “if X, Y, or Z happened we would’ve won” but never that we didn’t lose.
I mean with Vietnam it is just a confusing mess (quite literally identical to Afghanistan) and it is hard to give a definite yes we lost or a..... well we certainly didn't win. Because more or less just like Afghanistan we actually brokered piece between the two parties (North and South Vietnam) and then began pulling out of the country. 1 side broke the piece (North Vietnam) and reinvaded once the US was mostly out and begun to absolutely crush their opponent (South Vietnam did try to put up a fight and managed to for a month but still completely collapsed without US support) and then the US had to quickly scramble to get all of its people and allies out (leaving some behind and also leaving a ton of equipment behind) in order to avoid getting caught up in the conflict again.
