Same here I was a crazy rocker in the late 70s strung out not knowing if I would live the next day then I heard Phil Keith Green and other incredible Christian musicians..they blew my mind I had no idea Christians could play such heart felt emotional GOD BLESSED MUSIC,,,JESUS CHANGED MY LIFE BACK IN 1980😊
I absolutely love this song I was courting my wife in the early 80’s and my soon too be father-in-law made a Christian cassette tape and this is one of the song’s I remember best. He’s got a vast catalog of song’s and one of the best guitar player’s of all time
Outstanding! What a killer tone Phil has on his Les Paul in this shoot. In the intro and other solo parts, that guitar is really singing! And he gets such a spectrum of sound from it just by dialing up and down the volume knob for different parts. He nails the solo in the middle note-for-note from the album version, but with more fire here. And even more fire in the final solo! The whole band rocks on this. And it made me smile at the end when it just stopped without any fanfare from the band-all in a day's work for musicians of this caliber! Thanks for sharing this nearly 40 year old gem! -Tom
You've got to be kidding. His playing is fine but this tone is horrendous. I believe this is from that era where he decided to try and be hip and use a solid state amp (Yamaha). Fortunately he didn't use it long. Search out the old Glass Harp stuff. Now there was a tone to die for.
God bless you! I’ve loved this song and Phil for decades now I was first introduced to the song in probably 1983 or so. It still move’s me and it’s from the heart
Great, as usual. The Cross section is a superb band. Must be a treat to be onstage with them. The intro sounds similar to the Dutch band Focus. I wonder if Phil listened to Jan Akkerman. Too bad the music industry doesn't give Christian artists the same opportunities it gives to secular (or in some cases, satanic) musicians. God bless you all.
Phil Keaggys music brought my husband to the Lord!

I saw Phil and Cross Section in concert at Vanderbilt University. They opened up with HAPPY. Wonderful, full of wonder.

Has to be among the best guitarists still making music today.
One of my fav’s, I wore the record out!! So great seeing the band live. That song stands up to any Prog Rock song
I wore the record out, too.

It’s always amazing as you listen to his amazing guitar work and then that voice. Phil you are blessed but oh how you blessed us too. Thank you Jesus
I saw Phil for the first time at the Rockford EV Free Church in 1978 or 1979. I’ve been a big fan ever since!
Wow never seen this footage before. I love Phil on electric. It reminds me of just how good he is as a guitarist.
Now he's just showing off 😁, thanks Phil for sharing your talents with the Peep's 🙏✌️
Wonderfully captured live in-studio Phil. Such an amazing song.

Sounds more like Return to Forever with the sound and writing
@@thomasrichmond2413 Great observation.
Such a tight band
What a shame Phil never worked with Jon Anderson of Yes. Their voices together would've sounded great.
Nice guitaring Phil, if that is a word! 😂
6 minutes, zero.Great song overall but Phil at 6:00 is pretty cool.
