So I feel more at ease with my diagnosis now. Because I know how many symptoms someone with my diagnose can have that is the same for a autistic person. I meet someone who had gotten a autisme diagnose before they got the schizotypal diagnosis. So I have a lot of symptoms that are the same as a person with autisme but there are still some key differences. My diagnoses is new so there is not a lot of knowledge about it. So I have such a hard time understanding it. And the depression I have is another type then the one we have medication for. I have now found a calming medicine when I get meltdowns/depressiv episodes to get out of it and stops my overthinking. I know how it feel to be confused about what disorder you have. I thought I was autistic for a long time too. Mainly because of sensory issues. There is so much overlap with disorder symptoms . I was diagnosed with Avoidant Personality Disorder. I think I have developed some Schizoid traits more recently as an adaptation. We can grow and change and some diagnosis (especially personality disorders) can show themselves more or less at different times. They are usually ways in which we’ve had to adapt and how we cope with life. Although I definitely believe there is a biological component at times too. I hope you’re doing well ❤
Thank you for sharing. It can be confusing. And to make it more confusing we both have DSM-5 an ICD-10 who classifies diagnosis different. I really have a lot of symptoms in common with autisme I wrote a lot of pages just about all the things I have in common with autisme. Fordi nogle mener den skizotypiske diagnose dækker mange andre diagnoser fordi de har så mange fælles symptomer. Mens andre mener man kan have min diagnose og andre også oveni. Så tror virkelig det kommer an på den/de professionelle der diagnosticere en. Mistede den diagnose jeg havde før fordi det mente den skizotypiske diagnose dækkede den. Så kan ikke give dig et klart svar fordi kender ikke selv svaret. Da det variere meget om man kan få den diagnose og andre oveni. Har hørt om andre have denne diagnose og autisme og andre hvor de professionelle har mente autisme og skizotypi diagnosen dækker hinanden så de kun har skizotypi diagnosen tilbage.

You sounds like me and I have the diagnoses comorbid autism and adhd but I am suspecting schizotypal because it encompasses the symptoms of these.
I hope we both find the right diagnosis, so we can understand ourselfs better and get the right help 😀
Can schizotypal develop in childhood that can be similar in autism specifically Asperger’s Getting them a missed diagnosis of autism
