The more I watch Mark's videos, the more I come to realize that 99 percent of the problems in this world seem to stem from childhood abuse or abandonment.

Dr. Gabor Matè is one of the world’s best authorities on addiction, and his belief is that all addiction has roots in childhood trauma
Maybe some people are genetically predisposed to addiction, but it’s the childhood trauma that triggers it regardless

No, you're wrong. Drugs come later in life. They don't start off as drug addics when they're little. When they're little, things happen to them that form who they'll be as adults..then, those adults take drugs as a way to numb the pain. It all starts as fun and games when trying drugs, but quickly they become reliant on them because it takes away the trauma they received as children.
Thus, it ALL STEEMS from childhood trauma

Those who share their experiences don't know how much it helps when you're about to give up, it gives you the strength knowing somone who actully know what it's like to go through this tell you it's possible, it's not the same somone telling you you can do it when they have no idea what it's like, but hearing somone who knows what it's like that helps a lot since you understand it firsthand and made it out gives so much hope. so thanks for sharing.

I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.

The thing that really gets under my skin with this video, is you can see she has considerable comprehension of complex ideological constructs and a solid grasp on the English language far more than the average SWU interviewee. Yet her ideas about life and relationships are horrifically and disgustingly skewed to a degree that is almost terrifying. It's obvious to me that given different circumstances she could have been a scientist or an engineer or an academic but what was shown to her by life has transformed her into this stunted, damaged person. I hope she can discover a way out of her current predicament but I doubt it. I wish her well.

Some have a predisposition for psychological disorders Short term or long term use of street drugs can cause a break in the psyche and begin a torturous road of psychological issues that may cause, schizoaffective, schizophrenia , DD, BPD, Bipolar disorder ect or possibly a full-blown psychosis. Sometimes detoxing and getting on temporary mood stabilizers can help stabilize the person's chemicals in the brain but a lot of the time the post acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS) can swing the addict right back into a relapse. So many slip right through the cracks alot of them can't climb their way back out.

I am roughly the same age as this woman. In our very early teens, my childhood best friend was sent away to have electroshock therapy and be put on various medications. She was the daughter of two "functioning" alcoholics; both of whom held respectable careers. Before she was sent away, my best friend was a hilarious, creative, and intelligent girl who sometimes got into trouble, but nothing out of the ordinary. When she returned, she was completely different. I rarely talk to her now, but we have communicated via Facebook here and there. She goes on and on about conspiracies and she often talks about the abuse she experienced growing up. Now, I'm not writing this saying I sympathize with this interviewee. I am a mother and her comments about children were really difficult to hear. I just find it interesting the similarities in her childhood experience and her current frame of mind that seem to parallel that of my childhood friend.

I know babies have souls, and I don't think kids are clones or should be used as organ farms. But technically speaking, before they can survive outside your body, they are parasites, technically.

In Christianity, the upsidedown cross is associated with the martyrdom of Peter the Apostle. The symbol originates from the Catholic tradition that when sentenced to death, Peter requested that his cross be upside down, as he felt unworthy of being crucified in the same manner as Jesus. Also, as someone who reads runes, they DO NOT have anything to do with Satan.
