That's a great exercise. It occurred to me it's like practising 2, 5, 1s but with a diminished chord added. It's always good practice to go round all 12 keys in a cycle. Love the stride!
Stride is such a great practice tool to learn rhythm and position of all the important chord tones linking to the bass! Love the sound of the semitone decending i vi ii v i and beautifully demonstrated with the right hand improvisation. Thanks for saying it is difficult, as YES this takes ALOT of work to get fluidity and total mastery Have you happened to do a tutorial on block chord study?
Great tutorial, very grateful you are doing these, you are a fine teacher. I would note that these two turnarounds are found in the old standard 'Sheik of Araby'(among others), so learning that tune in several different keys is a great way to get a handle on them.
There was no musical reason. He was just saying you play the turnaround twice and then move to the next key a semitone lower. It will force you to think better about what you are doing.
Ross, you’re a great teacher and a tremendous pianist.Grazie per la bellissima lezione

Great challenging lesson thanks for the inspiration motivation More more Please
F7 to A major, nice!
Yes! It kind of functions like the the german altered six chord primarily known from classical music

I love your tutorials! Any chance you might consider doing one on your version of "Shiny Stockings"?
thank you! love the new album as well.
Very nice tutorial, and - again - you turn a practical exercise into an uncompromized bit of pure musicality!
Excelente. Gracias, más tutoriales!!!
Bravissimo Rossano! Very well explained and performed! 👏🏼
Would you also teach us the basics of how to improvise, like you did at 3:12 ?
Wow, this is amazing..thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with everyone, it is invaluable information!!!
That's pretty
Rossano, Great!!!!!!
Thanks! Amazing, can you explain me why F7 resolve to Amaj7? Because is similar to a C° that resolve to A/C#?
@@cmb_cworld The dominant of A is E7. The F7 would be coming from 1 diminished, like in the song 'Out of Nowhere' where E flat 7 moves to G major.

For some reason I expected every now and then he would fall apart..
