Pro tip: tie extra slack on the knot on the end of the cane pole and hold that slack in your hand so if the pole breaks or the knot slips off you don’t lose the fish and line.
Haha I had a knife like that and did just what you did when I was a little kid.You would have probably had better luck if there was more water in the creek.Oh and never drink water from a creek without boiling it for like 5 minutes.Many different parasites and bacteria can be in that water.Animal piss and shit gets in the water and who knows what is dead in the creek upstream.If you can find a spring coming directly out of the ground it's probably safe.Good video other wise.

That was great. I thought those survival knives were the coolest things when I was younger. Now I just keep a small backpack with me with a survival kit in it.

Super neat, Fish Hawk! Love finding treasures that have been tangled in the trees hehe. Found a popper and a spoon one day and they were in perfect condition! Survival skills got a lot to do with the senses!
