Absolutely, you have the option to make a pre-booking for your seat. I made the reservation via Klook, selecting the package that includes an upper deck cruise ticket at Iconsiam Pier.

Been comming to Thailand for 35 years and a few months ago was offered the trip for free from my Thai freinds well i decide since they could not get there money back if I did not go i went ,to my shock i enjoyed the food the music the Thai dancers the whole Cruise up the river in daylight and the Cruise back in darkness with everything light up it was a great trip free transport to and from the trainstation ,not once did I concider it a tourist trip because there were a lot of local Thai people and they served Thai and western food ,i would like to take my children on that trip next time its only a 3 hours trip.I think the Thais get tickets cheaper but not 100 % sure .
