Most often, Rose prefers streetfood to restaurant food and I spend my time educating Thais that Starbucks is not the HiSo luxury brand they think it is, and certainly not a match for the very decent and ubiquitous independent coffee shops all over the country 😂 Every now and again, we do treat ourselves to a bit of luxury -- a nice hotel room, fancy dinner or private tour/excursion, etc. This is one the things that makes Thailand so great [for us Farang], it's accessible and enjoyable on pretty much every financial level: as I'm sure you've found, some of the best experiences cost very little money (free, even) whilst some of the most forgettable cost $$$$$. Again, thanks for your active support here. Do let us know when you're next in Thailand and we will buy you a coffee/beer back!
