It looks great! I feel like a bit of heat is helpful for manageability and seeing less single strand knots. I’m approaching 40 and starting to get grays so I think way to have long silver hair. So the goal is growth. But at your age I had a bob as well.
Again just what I need at the right time. 👏🏾 ever since I got micro locs my scalp has been sooo dry and flaky 😩 I’m running out of shampoo and conditioner so imma have to add these products to my list. Also I think you should cut it. Don’t be afraid to cut and have fun with your hair it will grow back. I feel like when people see someone with long beautiful hair and we want that for ourselves the advice it to keep it but you do you girl!
Hey girl, idk about shea moisture but I do know I had a super dry and FLAKY scalp and used mizani scalp care shampoo and conditioner and now its a thinggg of the past! try it, it changed my scalp completely!!
Thank you for sharing your process, it is truly inspiring 🤩🤩 Please could you share how you keep your silk press intact...and definitely keep growing it! It looks so beautiful
Tbh I don’t do much to keep my silk presses up! I just try and wrap it every night (if I’m not lazy), I use a dry shampoo every 2-3 days. And the gymwrap headband keeps my edges LAID during workouts.
How did you find a braider that was gentle with your hair? I’ve been wearing wigs for years and want to get back into braids but I’m scared the person doing them will rip/pull my hair. I’ve also thought about sew-ins but will probably get a closure install since I don’t want any leave out. You look great btw ❤️
Girl it took A LOT of trial and error. I’ve been to some braiders who straight up snatched out all my edges 😩 it’s not ideal but I def experimented a lot. Something that did help was asking for recos from my stylist and friends who have healthy hair.
I get very close braids without scalp gaps. Ask your braider to start the braid at the end of a rattail comb for about an inch, then start braiding your hair. The 1 inch pieces will be sticking out and you will look strange, but B-A-B-Y, then she will sew all of those pieces together in a cute angle around your face and you won't have your edges pulled at all. A good braider will know how to do that; however, only my shop owner, her cousin (who quit), and one other braider at the shop knows how to do it. Those three wonderful ladies at Braids R US in Missouri City, TX are light with their fingers and never hurt me.
You’re so funny! You sound like me, wanting to cut my hair lolll Why not trying a short curly bob sew-in? That could be a good compromise. Also question - when you have you have your hair under the protective style are you blow drying it as well?
How do you work out while you have the wig as a protective style? Would be interested to know if you go around with the cornrows or if you use the wig in all settings. Also, did you choose a glueless closure wig? If so, how were the combs to your hair? I've found them to be very damaging on those areas.
I don’t do much, honestly! I try and wrap it every night (alternating directions each night), spray it with dry shampoo every 2-3 days, and if you work oul, the gymwrap headband keeps edges from frizzing up (I discovered it on TikTok and it’s literally a miracle headband lol). That’s really it!
I just watched a video on how to grow hair without protective styles and the girl mentioned she does twist outs so I looked up how to do that and your old video came up, but seeing you now have grown your hair with protective style which I'd like to explore together with the twist out so my question is what do you think of twist out when trying to grow hair (I understand no particular style grows fast) but can I still incorporate hair growth treatments while maintaining a twist out, won't my hair shrink? I have THE 4c hair.
Unrelated but your arms are the stars of this video!!🔥
Yass! We agree! She's a stunner 🤩
The working out is paying off! Keep going❤
Thank you! The results are showing slowly but surely ☺️
Seeing your bob was the push I needed to commit to my own bob, love it!

Totally agree! I love my tight 4C curls but a little stretch makes my hair much easier and quicker to do.

@@thatcitrus44 thank youuuu! 🫶🏾 I’ll try that too!
Girl, you should give our scalp care line a shot and let us know how it works out 😘
I really want to try and keep my protective styles for 6weeks,i can only do 2-3 weeks and that can be tiring at times
I vote, grow it out another year and then decide to keep going or cut it. Love this video!
Same! Grow it then cut it into a lob instead of a short bob
Okay lob! I didn’t even think of that. Definitely something I’ll consider. It’s kinda the best of both worlds.
Always the big debate: To cut or keep is growing!

@@Naakie Love these tips!
I can’t wait for my hair gets back right I tried the mielle hair oil green line & the leave in that stuff took my hair out bad 😢 my hair is super thin
How do you maintain your pressed hair while working out!!!! The minute I workout and sweat hits my hair it’s a whole Afro.
I’m obsessed with long hair so I think you should do what you like. Either way you’re beautiful and I love your personality. ❤🎉
I love your top, where did you buy it? And your hair so beautiful🥰

What do you do with your hair when you’re working out?
The arms are giving definition, the hair is giving sheen.
How do you maintain a silk press for 4 weeks?? It looks great!

@@Naakie Thanks! Did you get the bandana style or the bandi (regular or plus)?
what brand shampoo?

I say do you! You obviously know what works best for your personal style and vibe.
Well that’s no help 😂 lol jk jk. I here you though, it does ultimately come down to what I think it best for me.
Blunt Bob. You seem to have liked it, and it looked great, but also be ready to miss the length cause you might
Wow❤ i Love your Style and personality!
Aww thank you! 💗
🎉❤yes! She is the best!
You do you, whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll look great.
🥰
I like her personality
what kind of closure wig
I hate wigs but the leave out for sew ins is a challenge
Keep growing it
🥴🥴🥴
do you blow dry your hair when protective styling?
Can’t stop looking at your face. You are very beautiful 😍
Love it. Shout out to the hood rat shenanigans in college. But we grown now .. and uhm, can’t be caught doing those things… 😂
So basically what you’re saying is we CAN do hoodrat things as long as we don’t get caught?! Okay got it 🫡😂😏
Keep growing it out
❤❤❤🎉🎉
What hair do you use for your sew in ?
I’ve used both Indique Hair and The Firas Collection
Keep growing it please
😂😂😂 i loved this
🫶🏾
I think you should let it grow
Get a bob sew-in while you decide what you want to do with your hair
Do you lift?
Grow it out!
6-8 weeks is hard lol
If only your hair is healthy then don't cut it.
