tjr16698..thanks for email,there are a total of 1,900 images of the Port Tennant carnivals,they were grouped into different years...from 1970 through to 1980, but after browsing the images it was obvious many were placed in the wrong year(the St Elmos Floats were dated 1972)so images on the video can be from anytime during the 1970-1980 Carnivals....regards muchabutcher.
Hi, several years ago this dvd of east-side carnival was being sold during a jazz band tournament held at jersey park. I have uploaded most of the images on youtube, if you can point out your father I will look for any images of him....regards alan
Hi Alan, thanks for getting back to me. He's at the front of the tug of war at 3:09 with white t-shirt on. Someone showed me a photo of him years ago in the carnival where he had a top hat on, thought it might have been among the images but haven't been able to find it in the 4 videos you've got.
Hi - we would be interested in using this footage on Wales Online as part of a feature we are doing on carnivals. Would this be possible please for us to use it - and do you own the copyright to the footage?
Hi Paul, I am happy for you to use any footage from the carnival. although I do not own the copyright these images were sold on home made DVDs at a porttennant carnival around 8 years ago. there was no mention of copyright on the DVD.....regards alan
