Nice hunt I enjoyed watching wish I could go detecting but got to work maybe next weekend ya have a nice day thanks for sharing see you on the next hunt stay safe and have a lot of fun
Again a super video. I look forward to each one. Bill you got your but whipped buy Christine again. Christine your hair cut is giving you a younger more beautiful look. I really enjoy the way you interact with each other. It's easy to see how the love in your relationship is growing. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Thomas... I am inwardly always rooting for Christine to find amazing things. I know she works hard at it and I get a lot of hunting time in. She gets so excited it is fun to watch. Thanks we really enjoy spending time together.
Yes ! I was surprised and confused when he said at 06:24-06:27 minutes : “ did I tell you that the Vanquish is not supposed to work in the salty surf ? “. ? ? ?
Excellent video! I bought the 540 primarily based upon your success with it in wet sand in previous videos. I bought it in Tampa, but using it today at Oceanside. In dry sand I’m happy with my Gold Bug Pro.
I love watching you two. Y’all crack me up. Am learning a lot from your videos. I use to treasure hunt back in the mid 90s now you guys got me addicted again an that’s cool.
I agree, the Vanquish works well in the wet beach sand and in shallow water, just be careful not to get water in its control box.. I've found lots of silver and gold with my Vanquish 540 in the wet sand and shallow water...and sometimes I prefer it over my Nox 800.
Hey guys! I watched your channel all the time when I was in LA, but now I'm in Texas. I got mine stolen, year before last, but I got another one. I'm going out today. Thanks for your great videos!
That is one of my fears... getting the truck broken into.... bummer to hear but glad you were able to get another one... Thanks for watching. Very much appreciated.
Whoever said that the Vanquish wouldn't work in wet salt sand? That's not true at all. It has the exact same technology as the Equinox, just not a waterproof control box. And I'm sure it's made with cheaper components and materials. I've found just as much in the wet sand with my Vanquish as with my Nox. It's just not submersible, but then the Nox might not be either. :-) Leakuinox. ha ha ha
Yes! I was surprised and confused when he said at 06:24-06:27 minutes : “ did I tell you that the Vanquish is not supposed to work in the salty surf ? “ ? ? ?
The Vanquish is supposed to be pretty good on the beach due to multi-frequency. I have a Simplex, but thinking about grabbing a 440 for when I go to the beach. Thanks for the videos! God Bless!
Fun hunt for the both of you. The wife loves her 540 and she uses it in the wet also and does pretty good for herself. I just got to reminder to stay away from the waves because it's not waterproof lol. Thanks for sharing
Yes... I was reminded that when we first got the Vanquish I was using it in the wet sand... I am getting old and forgot...lol. The waves are too rough here anyway to detect in them.... Thank you
Great weather! Fun hunt! ”Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Don't teach a man how to fish and you feed yourself. He's a grown man, fishing's not that hard.” -Ron Swanson
Love watching the fun you guys have with such a great "experience/hobby' I have a Vanquish 440, and never seem to have to much of a problem in the shallow water ... Love your 'Fuzzy jacket' Christine! 🙂
Hi Christine & Bill, that was a fascinating hunt. Christine was car magnet cars came back to her and she scored a wheat penny. Christine I hope Bill got you a CUP CAKE as a reward? Oh Bill had some finds also best one was a butterfly charm. Thanks for the video looking forward to the next one. 🚙🚙🚙
A lost and found to being lost again just to be picked up later. It was meant to be in your hands Christine. Bill I can not believe She kicked your butt today. The Vanquish is a really good beach detector. Both in wet flats and the dry. You two made me laugh a lot in this video.. Fun times watching the two of you... Happy Hunting .. Peace
Excellent video. I purchased a 540 due to your good luck with it. It is arriving today. And gonna for its first run at Cocoa Beach this weekend. What setting do you use at the park vs dry sand vs wet sand?
Wow, congrats and good luck. We use jewelry mode and adjust sensitivity. Test it out on some stuff you already have... it will help with learning the VDI (numbers).
I have a number of high end machines but the 540 has to be the best value for your buck . I like it so much I bought a second unit. Totally recommend it .
Green car find just funny. Ready to hit the beach again hopefully by Sunday the latest. Getting good at finding where all the metal scraps are dropped by the tide but not much change just corroded pennies. But it’s fun to meet all the different collectors on the beach. From sea glass to sand dollars, sea shells, drift wood and other detectorists. Though privately I wish those metal detector people would find another beach so I can have the ones I hunt all for myself 😂. Not long for the people season to start then hopefully more good finds on the way.
Always good to clean up. Nice wheatie. I think the nail clippers are a bit far gone Some really crusty things coming up. Always looks fun with you guys
Bill...Surprised you didn't know about the Vanquish.... Similar tech as the equinox.. Minelab says..."VANQUISH welcomes tough terrain. It dominates at the beach in wet sand and salt water, outperforming other detectors that can’t compete." Christine is one with the Vanquish. I know alot of people do well here in NJ beaches with the Vanquish.
I think I did read all that when I got it but forgot about how good it is because I never get it out of Christine's hands.... Thanks for the confirmation
Bill, I didn’t see any wheaties in your finds….you didn’t find a wheatie? 🤣😂 Nice finds, guys! Looks like mostly lightweight targets in the sand there…
Fun hunt, thanks for sharing in the wet especially with the Vanquish, it gives me more ideas of how to use mine. What setting do you use on the beach with the Vanquish?
Hey Guys love your channel - not sure where you heard that the Vanquish doesn’t work in the wet sand - over here the the Uk it’s known to be a great wet sand machine, and mine performs superbly in the wet and into the shallow surf. Just don’t drop it in the water! Keep up the videos we love them over here in the Uk.
Hey guys, congrats on the Wheatie. Ove only found two at the beach. A 1955 buried in a sand castle on the towel line at Newport (my very first Wheatie) and a 1940 along the walk way in Balboa. That one was a shocker to me. And congrats on the cars. I always like finding cars in the sand 😁
I was motivated by watching your videos and other channels, so I have bought the Nokta simplex, I haven"t used it till now because of the cold weather here in Austria. I am so excited about my first detecting..!
Hum... I think it is a toss up between Minelab Vanquish (preferred) or the Nokta Simplex. The Vanquish has several models and you can compare them on their site to see which meets your needs... 340,440 and 540
@@christinethestringbeanyou guy’s have the best weather in socal that it makes me want to move out of central Washington down to your area. I could get used to detecting every day

Good morning, guys, cool hunt, do you ever put your old coins in slots, like one I send to you and bill, remember half dime 1872, and 1867 nickel? when I find I put to one side, like I have 100s of old Penny's dimes, and other old coins. Have a great day, Ray
Agree. My vanquish 540 finds tiny metal deep in the wet with no chatter. Bill has previous videos 2 years ago raving about the Vanquish at the beach which was why I bought mine. Maybe he was thinking about the Nokta Simplex which apparently has problems in the surf.

The 540 is a beast metal detector 👌
Long live the 540. 👏👏👍🏾 thanks for using it team. I realize you 2 have a fair few machines now but love the vanquish episodes. Cheers B and C ✌
You are welcome. The Vanquish is a solid detector. We do have a few....lol. Have downsized a bit.... cheers

Another excellent video guys. The Vanquish dues to its multi-frequency platform, is an excellent wet sand machine.
Thanks William. I guess I am finally getting old and forgetting things...lol.

Excellent video! I bought the 540 primarily based upon your success with it in wet sand in previous videos. I bought it in Tampa, but using it today at Oceanside. In dry sand I’m happy with my Gold Bug Pro.
I used the 540 in wet sand and it found a penny 6” deep as the surf rolled into the hole. Impressed at Oceanside. Thanks Bill!
That Penney is my birth year. Cool
Very cool George!
Thanks for keeping detecting real with all your finds. Love the banter back and forth.
Thank you very much
The Vanquish works very well in the salt. Very little falsing.
What a car saga....Hysterical!!! Fun hunt for sure!!!
Thanks... I can't believe we found cars that are crusted over because everyone detects there.... was a super fun day
my favorite is when you find cars! Thanks for a few chuckles along the way. BTW that green car was destined to go home with you lol!!
Yeah for some reason cars are fun to find... I feel bad for the kid... lost it twice
Had some fun in the sun, got some treasures and exercise. Looked like a great day to Me
Yes... we did enjoy ourselves... got a quick meal then hit the surf.... couldn't ask for a better day

The vanquish always performs great for me in the wet. The only thing is the control box is not waterproof like the Nox.
