That is the verse that gives me the most hope
It took 1.5 years after my salvation before I became baptized (a lot of war in the heavenlies to try to stop it). As I was getting up from the pool I saw in the spirit one demon hanging around my neck like a backpack, and another trying to lock my legs. The baptism is a type of the Red Sea: Israel had to pass through the Red Sea in order to leave their Egyptian gods behind, once and for all. It's the same in our individual lives: we MUST leave our old life behind and bury it with Jesus in order to rise with him from the dead.
I was diagnosed with 4 mental health illnesses. Depression, anxiety, Bipolar, & schizophrenia. Took medication 2.5 yrs. & $2,700.oo shots for 2 yrs. I have been off these medications for over 2.5 yrs now.
I was delivered from anxiety, fear, paranoia, depression & much more. The
Good Lord is the Great Physician & healer, Jesus is the way maker!!
Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV) Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.

He was repentant ready to do whatever Christ says, so for not having the opportunity to be baptised YAHUWSHUA (Jesus Christ) was baptised for Him. If you are Honest with Christ whatever you don't have the opportunity to do, He covers for you, for if you have the opportunity you will do it. Hence YAHUWSHUA (Jesus Christ) OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Thief on cross scripture aspect is true, but I don't think you are rightly dividing the word of truth, and it makes you sound like you are discouraging the Baptism other scripture in the NT Jesus "says" distinctly we " must" be Baptized, or we're "not going". Your comment perspective "extension" of taking" the thief on the cross was nt Baptised" ,as stretching it Bec the scripture does not state/ say: and the thief on the cross wasn't Baptized." You said that, as " your own conclusion", by an assuming, or presumption. But the scripture does say/ state specificly , Jesus said You "must be Baptized" ( He didn't say"immersion" in "that" same scripture, but we can derive that's what He means preferably by comparing scripture with scripture) your comment asks us to compare what conclusions might be drawn the scripture does not say, with what it/ the scripture comparably does say in other scripture. How do we know to draw your conclusion, the thief didn't undergo a Baptism , Bec Jesus says in other scripture we must be Baptized; Well, the thief in the cross had some very peculiar " special circumstance's" there in that once, only one time Crucification of the Messiah. I consider it wiser and sweeter to conclude about" what the scripture does nt say* , you brought up, that the thief indeed did receive Baptism, concluding in the positive, Bec Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Light Himself, are we not " Baptized into Jesus Christ" ? Yes we are.That are ! Immersion or sprinkled is another conversation. Bec there's no scripture that states, "And the thief on the Cross was not Baptized". Only that Jesus said I tell you today, Ye shall be with me in Paradise. Which always seems to come with the yoke of rightly dividing the word in that too, where should the comma go? before or after the word " today"(?) Bec it was days bef Jesus was raised, when that was said as written after, Jesus was still alive in the cross, in the way to " it is finished" but not actually " done " yet; His " last words still pending ".Rather however, these topics of what the scripture doesn't say, and where of our drawn own opinions, of conclusions, about how it was meant, short of exhaustive study which sadly there has been skewed focus / concentrated dispute controversy ( for centuries) of Jesus statement on the cross to the thief. Either way said or didn't say and how meant? Let mysteries unanswerable by man's lack of understanding,be Glory to God! for His Highness in mysteries! Awesome and humbling! Nobody needs a God their own size, or worse smaller. Lol! We have The TRUE GOD, And plenty of what He does say, with plenty of that both plainly and curiously revealed and to be revealed to look forward to! Laying aside those things which are behind, let us press for the Mark for the high calling of God in Christ Jesus! And they over came satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony and lived not their lives unto death Revelation 12:11! Lay Hold! Amen
