Matt, one of the things I love about your videos is that regardless of what kind of car you're driving, whether it's a car, an SUV, whatever, you have that grin on your face right before you test the acceleration for the first time. I can tell that you genuinely enjoy driving the cars you test and that you are a car nut. Nicely done as usual.
Just got myself a decent deal on a 2015 Edge Sport, exactly like that one and It's just awesome. A new Sport model was above my budget, but the SEL and Titanium didn't do nothing for me, so instead of a new SEL I got a barely used, fully loaded, Sport, that looks ten times better and handles amazing. Had not been for videos like this, I would have gotten basic transportation, but, thanks to reviews like this, I got myself something extremely enjoyable. Thank you very much for steering me in the right direction.
I just bought a new/leftover '16 Edge Sport and you pretty much hit the nail on the head of everything! I don't have a problem parking mine, but I came from a Honda Crosstour which I felt was much harder to park. I test drove everything in the segment and just didn't feel like anything out there offered what the Edge Sport does. I've seen some comments about the interior not matching the price tag, but I disagree. It feels very good inside with excellent fit and finish...and one of the quietest cabins I've heard. If anything, it may be a little too quiet for me in a "Sport" trim. Your evaluation of the suspension was great...so compliant and solid. Just feels like it does everything well. The only other complaint I have, is that it just seems a little more cumbersome to navigate my iPod. Going up and down through the tracks, just seems slow. You have to kind of wait for it to think and move a couple of tracks, before you can just keep hitting the track up/down buttons. I don't know why I like watching reviews AFTER I buy a vehicle, but I guess they help me justify my purchase a little bit. Thanks for the review!
+scterka why would you put money down on a lease? If the car was stolen or total, that 4,000 goes bye bye. The only things i pay at signing on a lease are first month, DMV fees, and doc fee. I leased my 2015 edge sport. which had an msrp of 45,480 for $530/month. took advantage of a 2,000 lease rebate ford had to clear off the 2015s. and the MF was pretty decent too .75% i believe.
I think I still would rather have my old 2011 Edge Sport with the 3.7l normally aspirated v6 - not as much torque but about the same HP. I think I tended to get about 26-27mpg when on the highway and about 17-18mpg in town so I find it funny that the turbo is called "ecoboost". Had they kept a non-turbo motor in the Sport trim level I'd likely consider buying another Edge for my next car. Great review - keep up the awesome work!
update - I bought a 2016 Edge Sport in Too Good to be Blue - absolutely love it! first trip (over 500 miles) I averaged well over 25MPG - not bad for first trip out in new vehicle.
I wish i was a bit older, so i could save some money to buy this car for my dad. He would love it! It has everything he wants in a car, its auto, it can go fast if you want it to go fast, alot of space, a huge trunk and rides like a yacht. Amazing car..
I actually came to this video just because I had nothing else to watch but ended up becoming interested once I saw the massive storage compartments and cargo space, then stayed interested once we saw it on the tight roads and I can't believe I'm saying it but that's a cool car haha
Thanks for the good review, it helped me in making my decision to buy a Ruby Red 2016 Ford Edge Sport. I was deciding between a Hyundai Sante Fe Sport turbo and the Edge sport. I drove the Edge SEL and Titanium models and while they were ok they really didn't have any get up and go, although neither did the Sante Fe turbo. But when I drove the edge sport I was really impressed with the power and the mean growl this 2.7 twin turbo has. It is a very fun car to drive. The fuel mileage does suffer some but I guess my foot gets a little heavy at times, what can I say. I really love the Sync 3 entertainment center too.
This car seems almost like my 2010 Lincoln MKT Ecoboost, in terms of some of the praises. Car and Driver said that the Edge Sport can match a base Porsche Cayman to 60 MPH, which is pretty impressive.
Hey Subaru wrx fan! Loving the videos you post up. I get instant notifications whenever you post a new video. I know you always get request on vehicles to review but since you've been posting a few suv's I was curious to know if you could review a 2014-16 jeep srt8 since I will be buying one soon. Thanks keep up the great videos!!
The Ford Edge Sport looks pretty good, those 21" wheels really make the vehicle come together nice. 4400lb hunk that actually handles pretty well. My friends mom has one.
ford's always had the best handling on their vehicles. and great suspension. and air conditioners lol f150 trucks could do a u turn on one lane street as good as a fiat
test drove it the other day for a friend and I do really like it!Plenty of power and i like the handling, but the only thing I didn't like the weight of the steering wheel. Other than that I would buy one.
LOL You totally missed the extra storage compartment in front of the driver's left knee. It's a little drawer compartment that pops out. Most people fail to notice it... which actually makes it a great place to hide things. I also assume this was a FWD model??? as I don't recall you mentioning whether it was AWD or not.
+subaruwrxfan - im a big fan of your videos. nice to see you review the edge sport. I have one of these and was surprised that the you seemed more impressed with the handling over the power this 2.7 twin turbo puts out. Dont get me wrong, the handing is more than decent. But its this motor that made me fall in love and buy one
I got rid of my Focus St for a 2017 Ruby Red Edge Sport. I love, and miss, the Focus St. I wish I would've sold my other car to keep both the Edge and ST. Lately I've been wanting to ditch the Edge for something more fun to drive (ST, GTI, WRX etc) but I keep finding I get a lot more out of the Edge Sport than the other cars (besides for fun factor in driving a manual car like previously mentioned). For $26k, fully loaded Edge Sport with 35k miles, this was a steal in my eyes.
Hi Matt, do you think the handling could be compared with the BMW x3 or Audi q5? I mean if the sport version of Edge is identical to these german brands?
nice name. as a fellow WRX owner, think im about sell my bagged and tastefully modded 2011 WRX to purchase one of these. Adulting sucks lol. But this vehicle and it's newer model sports/st seem like the perfect buy right now for me in this crazy used car market. Thank you for the great review!
+Guillaume Steinmetz Thanks! Handles more flatly than the Forester and has more power and room. The Edge is basically better in every way, but it's also larger, more expensive and fuel economy is worse of course since it's faster and much more powerful.
Ford has been stepping up their game lately almost all of their cars feel sporty we have a 2015 fusion titanium and a 2011 fiesta and they feel like they are sports cars and they are normal economy cars.
LOL he wishes it was his only job. he addressed that in a previous video of his. unless something has changed, he is still working a different job, but wants this to be full time.
+Mohammed Abdulla thanks! I'd love to but Jaguar hasn't agreed to send me vehicles yet. Maybe an owner will offer one. Either way I'd love to review one someday.
My dad has the 2.0 sel and had the previous version before that so I've had some time with both. The 1st gen I couldn't quite figure out. It was small and low on the outside but inside you felt like you're driving a building about to fall over. The new version when I first drove it I knew it was a huge improvement and felt more like a car. The suspension and steering feel horrible and disconnected. Maybe because you drove the sport got a different feeling? I am a very experienced driver/racer and I didn't feel comfortable pushing the car. I also felt that way in the new f250 so maybe ford is trying something new with the dampening that makes it feel like the rear isn't planted? My old 2014 mustang felt great. Haven't driven a 2015 yet for comparison. But ford has been on top of giving the mustangs the best suspension feel in recent years so they probably have the best guys they have working on them and send the left over guys to do all the other cars lol. Also I might add I was working on my truck while it was behind his car and I had his key in my pocket and accidentally waved my foot under and scared the shit out of myself when that hatch opened. Then when I was getting out from under my truck the hatch came back down and almost hit me in the head lol.
+Pirasanth Kathirgamanathan I'm hoping to do a Mazda 3 that someone offered. Haven't had any offers for a new Mazda 6 yet. Mazda hasn't agreed to give me press cars yet unfortunately.
+subaruwrxfan look forward to that. I drove the 15 3 grand touring and it felt very buttoned down and flat for such a small car. the bose sounded nice well. great review today!
+VQSeries I have a 16 sport and it's 17 city 20 highway I'm still in break in atm (have 646 miles on it) so only use power when needed and get around 19 mpg, mostly city driving with stretches of 30-45 miles highway mixed in. The tank could have definitely been bigger, but man does it haul if you want it.
Opp's sorry it's 17 city and 24 highway not 20. My bad 20 is combined hence my 19 mpg this is also with still getting used to what throttle is need for what types of merging so i'm sure i'm still wasting unneeded gas atm. I'm used to being almost to the floor going up hills and such since i'm coming from a 140 bhp 120 torque celica gt. It also handles almost as good as it did on coils in corners. Hope this explains more.
Did you already use the Opening Sequence Song for your 335i review? Anyway, can you review the 4-cylinder model of the Edge? I know I'm requesting it over the BMW M2, but you can do that or the 4-cylinder Edge first if you have time. Like I said, keep reviewing other cars unless you decide to review my requested cars. This car is good, even "sporty" because it's the Sport. Very, very nice. 🙂
+Demian Reith I wanted to review this Sport model since it's somewhat performance oriented. The 4-cylinder Edge would probably be an even less popular video so I won't be doing a review on it. I'd still love to review an M2. Just waiting for someone to offer one! As for the opening sequence song, I did use the same song in the 335i review, just a different part of the song.
Please review more sporty, vehicles. Seems to me and others that you have much more fun than reviewing this "normal" daily drivers. Go back to your roots and see your firsts reviews. Those were awesome!
+Kip James this guy has something special about him. The way he reacts and reviews cars is a unique way. He should take that into his advantage instead of reviewing this cars that even he looks like he's not having fun
babyjoker360 I agree. He has done some of those cars you're talking about recently though but if he wants this as his job, which I 'm sure he does, he has to review some everyday cars to do so.
+babyjoker360 I agree with what Kip said. With this press car system, you have to take the exciting stuff along with the not so exciting stuff. Review cars like this paves the way for future performance car reviews. If you're missing a review of a sporty vehicle, just go back a few weeks to previous reviews, or the Week in a Camaro video I just posted a few days ago...
No way this suv is worth 45k! You can get into the new Caddy XT5 for that, and thats a much nicer vehicle! Very boxy exterior (fords specialty) nice wheels though, also way to much hard plastic and buttons all over the place at this price point. That has to be the busiest steering wheel Ive seen. . Still good review even though Im not a fan of the edge. keep up the good work!
+danmancino22 Ditto. My wife and I are looking at getting one of these for her. However, we just rented a 2016 Fusion for an 800 mile drive, and that tach really bothered me along with that whole 2 screen system. Couldn't wait to get back in my Mustang. These Edge Sports really do drive awesome, though.
I work at a ford dealership and was able to drive one of these and its nothing to play around with it is quick and from 0-60 is no traction what so ever if your not careful or drive a mustang you won’t be able to handle it 😂
+james1241 he more than likely will get to one when he can get his hands on one. One common thing people ask car reviewers and most of the time they dont realize that most/some review cars on a basis of if they can get their hands on a car or not.
+Damien Fraser True, I just wanted to know if he had plans on trying to find one, because I have my doubts about the car and I want to make sure that I'm making the wright decision before buying one.
Always watch the reviews no matter what car it is. I like to expand my knowledge of all vehicles.
I am 100% GM but I think the new ford edge is quite stylish, and this color just pops! :)
Yeah! I agree on that
True but i think the traverse and equinox looks a bit better
doggo, you're absolutely nuts. Both are fugly.
+Doggo 3 agreed chevy suvs are pretty hideous
Just got myself a decent deal on a 2015 Edge Sport, exactly like that one and It's just awesome.

Congrats. 🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎈
Let me be FIRST to say I am a fan of the new Edge ;)
I think this has got to be one of the best looking vehicles on the road. Wish I could afford one.
yes its one of the best suv on the market, and it looks fantastic
Ford's latest designs always got me like, "uh what is that?" at first but then it grows on me.
+abu ess I like the 2014 sport better in looks
This is the best sporty SUV under 50k period
I wish they put the 3.5l ecoboost in it with 365hp
Im exited for the Fusion Sport. Should be a heck of a car if this Edge is so good.
I just bought a new/leftover '16 Edge Sport and you pretty much hit the nail on the head of everything! Always wanted ground effects when I was in high school. Have not heard that term in a while. Thanks for the memories!
Who else watches these reviews as entertainment and has no interest in purchasing these cars?? lol
Jessica Riggs nigga wat
😂😂😂
I've been waiting for this review, Love the car & colour! Great job on the review:)
Christian M You should also watch his review on the Mustang GT340. His reaction when he steps on it is hilarious.
I just leased one, a 2016 Sport, it's pretty badass
Im looking to lease an edge sport too, how much is the lease on one of these?
+john evangelista 500/month
+john evangelista $430 a month plus tax. I put down $4,000
+scterka why would you put money down on a lease? If the car was stolen or total, that 4,000 goes bye bye. The only things i pay at signing on a lease are first month, DMV fees, and doc fee.

He out the 4k down upfront for lower monthly payments, you're paying higher monthly payments to pay the 'extra' $4k.

+subaruwrxfan is there any way you could get your hands on a e90 very curious on your thoughts on it
really like the review! cool new beginning review area!
+TheOriginalSayre Thanks!
GREAT REVIEW!!! I think you hit the mark when it come's to the plus's and minuses of the Edge Sport. Either way the Edge Sport is a great crossover.
I see you getting better with the editing, you actually been doing a great job on the last couple videos... Good job 👏👏👏
+Hans Verdieu Thank you!
The Ford Edge Sport looks pretty good, those 21" wheels really make the vehicle come together nice.

subaruwrxfan Same t-shirt as you wore when you reviewed the Cruze. I still like.
Am wondering if I'd like the new edge sport more than the previous model.

That color is pretty badass
loving' that SUV! so good looking.
There's only 2 crossovers I would ever own, and the Ford Edge is at the top of the list.
Check out the center console in a 1g Acura RDX. Takes the cake for the biggest console by far.
Can you use the front facing camera while driving at any speed, or just low 'parking' speed?
nice name. as a fellow WRX owner, think im about sell my bagged and tastefully modded 2011 WRX to purchase one of these. Adulting sucks lol. But this vehicle and it's newer model sports/st seem like the perfect buy right now for me in this crazy used car market. Thank you for the great review!
Could you review an Audi Q5?
Nice review, can you review a 2015/16 SE Camry?
Love that color
Dude, you got the coolest job ever! I hate my job.
You could do this to. You just have to be very good at it.
Great review as a usual. How would you compare it to the Subaru Forester XT you've reviewed last year? Just in terms of performance and handling.
+Guillaume Steinmetz Thanks! Handles more flatly than the Forester and has more power and room. The Edge is basically better in every way, but it's also larger, more expensive and fuel economy is worse of course since it's faster and much more powerful.
+subaruwrxfan Thanks for replying 😉
Ford has been stepping up their game lately almost all of their cars feel sporty we have a 2015 fusion titanium and a 2011 fiesta and they feel like they are sports cars and they are normal economy cars.
really nice channel matt !!!
would be nice if you get the chance to review the Audi R8 also!
Just wondering Matt, is TH-cam your full time job?
Yes it is
LOL he wishes it was his only job. he addressed that in a previous video of his. unless something has changed, he is still working a different job, but wants this to be full time.
+MoparMan23 It's been my full time job for almost a year now. Talked about it in a Weekly Update back in July 2015.
+subaruwrxfan I stand corrected! O_O keep up the good work my man!
MoparMan23 Thanks!
Nice Review as always matt , Could you please try to review the new Jaguar XE S ?
+Mohammed Abdulla thanks! I'd love to but Jaguar hasn't agreed to send me vehicles yet. Maybe an owner will offer one. Either way I'd love to review one someday.
Wow it actually looks great!
Had to watch this with the new Edge ST coming out. I want one and I don't even like Crossover/SUVs!
Great review, do you think you'll be able to review any of the new 2016 Mazda 3/6?
+Pirasanth Kathirgamanathan I'm hoping to do a Mazda 3 that someone offered. Haven't had any offers for a new Mazda 6 yet. Mazda hasn't agreed to give me press cars yet unfortunately.
+subaruwrxfan You should review the original citroen ds. Is said to be the most comfortable car ever
+subaruwrxfan look forward to that. I drove the 15 3 grand touring and it felt very buttoned down and flat for such a small car. the bose sounded nice well. great review today!
Nice car and good review as always. I may have missed it, but what's the city & hwy MPG for this Edge Sport?
+VQSeries I have a 16 sport and it's 17 city 20 highway I'm still in break in atm (have 646 miles on it) so only use power when needed and get around 19 mpg, mostly city driving with stretches of 30-45 miles highway mixed in. The tank could have definitely been bigger, but man does it haul if you want it.
Wow, is 20mpg hwy really the official rating?? That's surprisingly low :/
Ah ok, got it - thanks!
Good review but I'm starting to miss the mustang videos I still want one an you inspired me to get one
+Robert Buchanan I will be doing a POV video in the next week or two hopefully.
+subaruwrxfan ok cool can't wait
I like it but I think the frame of the door comes up a bit too high (i.e. the windows are too short).
I think it's really interesting how we've moved out of having chrome trim and wheels to black accents on the trim and wheels.
Subiefan whats the odds you are gonig to get a presscar review of the new Lincoln Continental before they hit showroom floors ?
Did you already use the Opening Sequence Song for your 335i review? Anyway, can you review the 4-cylinder model of the Edge? I know I'm requesting it over the BMW M2, but you can do that or the 4-cylinder Edge first if you have time. Like I said, keep reviewing other cars unless you decide to review my requested cars. +subaruwrxfan Ok, then try reviewing the I4 used in the new 2016 Explorer. Or the new 2017 Escape.
Why didn't they give you a 2016 to review?
Cool car !
You can adjust the steering sensitivity in most new Fords
Lol he's startin to get big! You workin' out now WRXfan?
Great video! You could do a review of the 2011 Ford Fusion :)
You should make a video on the top 5 favorite cars you've reviewed and why
+t berk I am planning to make a video about this in the next couple weeks.
Sounds great! Wow, I'm impressed!
Please review more sporty, vehicles. Seems to me and others that you have much more fun than reviewing this "normal" daily drivers. Go back to your roots and see your firsts reviews. Those were awesome!
+babyjoker360 He gets these cars for free to test. It would be just dumb for him not to review them in between his "root" cars.

Hey there I was wondering if you could review a 2016 Honda Civic coupe ex-t
This car looks dope!
can u review the ford escape too
Hi Subaru Wrx Fan, any chance that you may review the Audi Q5? Thanks
+goofdunk Only if I could get my hands on an SQ5. Still trying to keep my car reviews to performance vehicles as much as possible.
subaruwrxfan okay thank you !
Funny how reviewers online hate MyFordTouch but us who own vehicles that have it really like it. Kind of odd to me...
so true
Hold on
No panoramic sunroof?
You have to review a Ford Edge ST. Have to.
Sport is the most misused word in the auto industry
Just wait till the Ford Fusion Sport-325hp/350lb/ft torque, more than an Sti. Pretty sad huh, sti needs updated.
+Duncan O'malley doubt the brakes, chassis, suspension and awd system is as good as an STI.
+Borntokirune Yeah Focus RS says, HI. Same department that did the RS is modding the Fusion Sport.
+Borntokirune lol STI on it's last leg dude and you have no idela how the Ford Fusion Sport going to perform i'd hold that Ford hate down
billy heaton I love ford st and rs but the fusion not a good platform :l
Can you do a 98 honda crv 2 wheel drive automatic?
Can you review a Nissan Juke nismo
I love your reaction getting off the side road to hammer it hehe
Really pretty color.
Review the Explorer Sport

most people want to be able to pass a dealership tho
I have a fully loaded titanium edge. It's noice! 2015
I like the power of the edge but that interior doesnt look even close to the 40k price tag
Mine has the Sync3, adios MyFord Touch
You should call the EcoBoost the EcoBeast engine
Dude pleeease review an SRT-4
Wow the new Edge is so sexy would you mind doing one of the new Toyota 4Runners? Thanks

I absolutely hate that the tachometer is digital. I will never be able to get over that.
I got an idea. Maybe you can make the next car review a "May the 4th Be With You" special.
Matt fisting that armrest was quite funny!
COOL Review: 2015 Ford Edge Sport
I work at a ford dealership and was able to drive one of these and its nothing to play around with it is quick and from 0-60 is no traction what so ever if your not careful or drive a mustang you won’t be able to handle it 😂
Best handling crossover is a Mazda CX-9
Nice car. Don't think I could live with 18mpg though.
If you could afford one one of these, I'm sure the cost of fuel won't be much of an issue.
If it had the engine on the Ford focus RS on the sport it would have been better
You sound a bit sick man. You alright?
+Talon Faust yep I'm good thanks! This was filmed about a month ago and I think I was a little sick because of the weather.
+subaruwrxfan when will you do an RX8 review?
+james1241 he more than likely will get to one when he can get his hands on one. One common thing people ask car reviewers and most of the time they dont realize that most/some review cars on a basis of if they can get their hands on a car or not.
+Damien Fraser True, I just wanted to know if he had plans on trying to find one, because I have my doubts about the car and I want to make sure that I'm making the wright decision before buying one.
+james1241 thats alright. Just depeneds on if and when :)
