This is AWSOME! Made a mix of natural Wintergreen extract (amazon) and isopropyl (farm supply store) aprox 1to 4 ratio. Less than 24 hours and the difference is incredible 👍 The rock hard air box boots/velocity stacks are from a 85 kawi eliminator . I can now use the original air box and boots to eliminate the pods and their tuning issues + retain the stock look and value of my restoration!
Agreed, it really works well. parts I've done show no signs of hardening up yet either. Noticed some very slight swelling in old fuel line hoses (oem) left in for a long time (pushing a month) but they shrunk back after a couple days drying out. Thanks for watching!
Interesting!! I use regular engine oil. I'll lube up the rubber part with a little oil on my gloves and rub it in for a few seconds, wipe off the excess and let it sit for a a few minutes before I re-install the parts!! It seems to work quite well!! The only thing I wouldn't do that to are the old o-rings! They're already flattened out and stretched a bit so...they will only expand more with the fresh oil!! I just replace them!!

One can acquire wintergreen infused isopropyl alcohol and is the same price as straight alcohol. I figure perhaps I can dilute 1 to 5 using the iso...I'm paying $45 for 16 oz/473cc's worth.
I can't see why not, they would smell like peppermint for awhile though. Some thoughts: You have to figure out how not to soak the whole shoe You would have to monitor them closely so as to not have them swell up If you haven't watched it I made a follow up to this video link above Thanks for watching!
I don't see why not, I'd try a sample piece first if possible or if you tried the whole sole I'd closely monitor it, even 24 hours makes a noticeable difference. The oil might complicate any gluing process so those areas might have to be cleaned really well. Thanks for watching!
Has anyone tried it to mix it with engine oil in hopes of it restoring seals of engine and reducing oil leaking and burning? Kinda like poor mans AT-205?
77-78 cb750k engine side carb boots do seem more available now, at the time I couldn't seem to find reasonably priced new ones. Personally I'd not risk buying them from Ebay just because it's hard to tell if they're cracked or not.

So far I haven't noticed them starting to stiffen back up again.

After doing a little bit of research, I found honda rubber carb holders all over the place, especially ebay. Dude you story sounds fishy
