I appreciate this video a lot as I traveled on US 90 a lot during my hiking trip in the Florida panhandle rather than Interstate 10. I took similar photos of those major intersections too (US 90 with US 19, US 27, US 221, US 129, US 41 and US 441. One interesting fact about Olustee on US 90 is a Civil War battle took place there and in Greenville, Ray Charle's Childhood home is located there with a statue off of US 90 too. Thank you for all the great work!
I never understood why TXDOT does not have any signs for US90 on Houston's Katy freeway. There was alot of them back in the late eighties and early 90's, with the over head button copies. They went away when they switched to the new style signs.There is only one on the east side of downtown when 90 joins back up with I-10 heading west. Thanks for pointing out that they are stingy. LOL
Very good point at the 12:00 minute mark. Accidentally went left instead of veering to the right and ended up in Metairie, trying to scramble to get back to I-10. Literally just two weeks ago.
US 90 also has an offramp / intersects where Causeway Blvd (the world's longest water bridge) begins. It is kind of amazing how I drive on Hwy 90 everyday, and if I just took it straight all the way one day I would be on a beach somewhere in less than 2 hours. And also, Who Dat!
US 90 had a brief extension north from Van Horn to US 62/180 in 1939 with the hopes of extending it all of the way to California but was changed back to ending at US 80 due to AASHTO rejecting the Cali extension in 1940.
FYI, the US 90 bridge crossing the Pearl River from Louisiana to Mississippi has been closed for a good while now. Was driving on US 190 east of Slidell, LA to cross that bridge and found out the road was closed going to it, had to turn around and go back to I-10.
On US 90 meets US 231 in Cottondale FL that takes you to Panama City to the south and Dothan Alabama to the north with opinions to take us431 to Phenix City cityl AL/Columbus GA or continue on 231 to Montgomery AL. It's a major North/South route. US 331 in DeFuniak Springs, FL intercects with 90 which is a direct route to us 98 in Santa Rosa Beach FL from Montgomery AL. There are several major 4 laned(or in the process of being expanded) north/south FL State Roads that connect US90 and I-10..basically all hurricane evacuation routes
For the U.S 95 video can you show Silverwood Theme park? It's in Athol Idaho about half an hour north of Couer d'Alene. It is a very popular spot for people from the Seattle-Tacoma metro. Love your videos!
I have cycled nearly all of US 90 from Baldwin, FL to New Orleans. I was surprised how hilly US 90 was around Tallahassee and some points west in Florida.. 23:24 - a great example of how hilly Tallahassee can be. When I went to the state house on my bike trip, it was a climb.

In Beaumont, the current routing of US 90, becoming concurrent with IH 10 (Texas style) and US 69/96/287, has been since 2020 during the pandemic. The former routing continued straight into downtown Beaumont along surface streets and turned left along parallel one-way streets one block east of the Beaumont Bridge Studio where I work today. I remember when I-10 had construction late 70s - early 80s, and had detours to US 90. I remember driving through towns like Chatahoochee and Sneads, FL. State road 10 in Florida is mostly unsigned US 90 (there are 13 miles where SR 10 is US alt 90 and SR 10A is US 90). Edit: US 17 goes south on Main street and turns right at State street (where US 23 begins), and it is 2 blocks north of Beaver Street. I think that's an FDOT mistake showing US 1-17-90 South on Main at Beaver, where it should only be US 1-90

Seguin is pronounced Se-geen. It's Spanish. Okay...so you hit one of my pet peeves in Houston. I talk about this a lot on my videos. For some reason, US-90 was removed from the overhead signs. When I came to Houston back in 1980, US-90 was on all the overhead signs through downtown. TxDOT, in whatever plant they were smoking, decided that Houston drivers would be too dumb to figure out the difference between US-90 and Alternate US-90 (which comes into Houston over in Rosenberg. It makes it look like there's a gap with US-90 through Houston, as you have one end in Katy and the other end at the intersection of I-10 and I-610 on the east side of Houston. Apparently, US-90 isn't the only road TxDOT did this to: US-77 through Dallas (it multiplexes on I-35E) and US-67 when it enters Dallas, first on I-35E (muliplexed with US-77), then on I-30 East. As for US-290: Technically US-290 ends at I-610. It doesn't officially connect back to I-10/US-90. However, when they rebuilt US-290 and I-610 a few years ago, someone in planning decided it would be nice to tie US-290 into the direct connect ramps that connect I-610 and I-10, so US-290 now has dedicated exits for I-10/US-90. As far as I'm concerned, that connects US-290 and US-90. It's just not official (although you will see a sign heading west on I-10/US-90 that connects to US-290 Express lanes). Fun fact: On the east side of Houston, at the exits with North Wayside and McCarty, Alternate US-90 joins I-10/US-90 from North Wayside, goes under the railroad track bridge, and exits (although unsigned) onto McCarty. You can then take McCarty to I-610 where Alternate US-90 will end at the intersection with I-610 and Business US-90 (former alignment of US-90 before the Crosby Freeway was built.) That short distance is where an alternate route and a primary route overlap, although it isn't signed. Another fun fact: That interchange you complained about with US-90 and the Sam Houston Tollway...yea, it's a bit oversized. The reason it is oversized is that there are plans to put flyover ramps from Sam Houston Tollway to US-90 in both directions. Not sure when that will happen, as sections of the Crosby Freeway aren't even built yet. But that wasn't the fun fact I was getting to. The overpass that goes over Sam Houston Tollway and Uvalde (U-val-dee) road was built with the eastern part of the highway, opening in 1992. This overpass was built, but was blocked from traffic from 1992 to the construction and opening of the western section of the highway...in 2011, a total of 19 years.
Does anyone know why in the South, many highways cross each other such as U.S. Route 11 meets 90 west of 45, and Interstate 85 ends west of Interstate 75.

The pearl river bridge on US 90 has been closed since 2022.
