For those who like information about Dimas' songs:
Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboardist, who we see in the video that accompanies Dimash.
    Hugs from Brazil!

Dimash often uses his hands to “self conduct”. Just make sure you listen to his videos to the very end, he often speaks or the song is not quite finished yet. Dimash was in Hungary over the past two weeks, judging in a classical TV show/competition for children “Vituosos”. Other judges were Placido Domingo and Hauser. He is performing with them. The show will be aired soon. It is on YT. Greetings for a man Dear from Melbourne. 🇦🇺

There are world class singers, then there's Dimash in his own galaxy class.
He's 6'3'', 193 lbs [approx], self conducts & the camera people love to capture it all as he performs with his whole body.
He's been addicted to the stage since the age of 2, & when he began school he was drawing studios rather than the cars & trucks the other children were drawing.
He won his first piano competition at age 6, after beginning music school at age 5, where he told the teachers the piano was out of tune. That's where they found he had absolute pitch, & focused on vocals rather than the piano, as he started. He's still very proficient on piano, & plays several other instruments......dombra, drums, guitar, to name a few.

This is a cover of Sinful Passion originally by A´Studio. The bass and the piano players were part of that band and the second was one of the songwiters.
6:27 the greeting/farewell to the spirits inherited from Turkic/Tengrenist traditions in certain muslim tribes in the ancient Turan to pay homage to the ancestors and spirits of nature. In Spanish I know it as "hammering vibrato" or "glottal vibrato". In Iran I heard they call it "che-che". It is not yodeling but an ethnic technique relative to yodeling but needs more control on the notes you sing than in yodeling.

No conozco a nadie más que lo haga y menos a ese nivel de calidad artística. Dimash posee cada escenario que pisa sin importar el tamaño que tenga. Not to worry, gender has nothing to do with having a "crush" on fantastic talent. Lots of male Dears out there.
Most of us also love Dimash's accent when speaking english. Dimash obviously struggled with the illogic of the english language, especially coming from a Russian/Kazak language background.
. He recieved a lot of criticism in France for his french pronounciation so understandably was worried about his english.
He speaks so well now, in my opinion, but I hope he keeps the accent, forever.😂😏 I adore his Dinglish.😉😂🤭
Another great reaction to this intense cover of Sinful Passion.

Dimash is a very physical performer and checks the boxes on singing with heart! Seems I’m late noticing your reactions to Dimash, but I’ll do a bit of catch-up to see which ones you have already seen. This performance of Sinful Passion is one of my favourites. Dimash is performing with members of the original band (A-Studio) and I believe the pianist is the composer. The original singer passed away several years ago and Dimash added the traditional lament in his honour. Cheers from central Canada!

Yes, Dimash is a hand and arm, but mostly hand singer.
By the time anyone hears him sing a song, he has spent hours matching his notes to hand gestures. So his brain, hands and vocals have trained for vocal memory.
Many years ago, he had a small space at his family home that had a mirror and he would stand in that room and match every hand gesture to every note. One of his younger siblings took a phone by the room and actually took some very brief video of his rehearsal time and posted it on youtube. No one can compare to him because no one else is willing to put in the multiple hours he does each day to reach as close to perfection as possible.

I’m looking for the duet with Placido Domingo.
I agree that he has not only a perfect vocal instrument that he plays perfectly to match his intent, and his stage ownership/presentation are second to none. He said in an interview that they were taught acting and stage presentation at his music school, and if anything, he is primarily an actor. Well…both, dear Dimash, both. You have the emotion and presence to convey the meaning of the song.
I’m in Oregon, and plan to attend the Budapest concert.

About the hands. Dimash is constantly "conducting" himself and as he does it very beautifully, I expect the cameramen noticed it early on and started following them. There is another Fancam clip of this song, in very good quality and full close up, during a concert in Moscow a year later (th-cam.com/video/uxLhwfFFUQs/w-d-xo.html). I greatly recommend it as he has more intimate and freer presence during full concerts as opposed to a one song appearance in other performances (which is what you saw until now).

Great observation about his hands! I've been blessed to have been following Dimash for 6+ years and have watched thousands of video reactions. Vocal coaches, music producers and video directors and producers have commented that what Dimash does with his hands is intentional. Him doing this "self conducting" is a way of focusing attention to his vocals and draws the audience further into the performance. I'm enjoying your Dimash journey tremendously. I know you will eventually get to it but one of my favorite performances by Dimash is Daybreak at Bastau. Thank you!

I have noticed how Dimash uses his hands as if he is conducting himself. I first noticed it when he sang his first song, SOS, on The Singer 2017. when he sang All By Myself. In the end, he seemed to be conducting the orchestra too. He is very expressive with his hands in every song he sings.

Yes, Dimash "air directs" his songs. It shows parts, movements, highs and lows, it's like watching an orchestra conductor, but in his head, he is making sure the song is perfect by tracking the parts.
The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash on this song, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.)
The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.

I hope you get to do many more this year, you wont be disappointed, he is great in everything, even if you dont like all of them equally. Its bc they
are all different, sometimes in small ways and some even better as he has grown and matured.
Please do watch until the very end as he sometimes talks a nd always thanks the musician(s) and his family members, if they are there.
He is an ambassador for Qazaqstan and always promotes it, he is very patriotic and loves his country, culture and history.
    Cheers from the Pacific Northwest.

In classical or operatic singing the hands are used. As below he self conducts. In Ave Maria an aria both ares are definitely conducting. Tho theses actions seem very scuttle when he does them they are very purposeful and since he is in all the performance arts of his productions the grips and camera guys would have been told by him at that moment to zoom in on a had or whatever he has instructed. Don’t kid yourself when you want the camera to be on his face but it’s omewhere else he’s done the planned point of view he wanted. Just as sound treated on the out set or onset of his notes are planned with the soundboard man like Michael Jackson did who Dimash learned from he does also. I’ve heard it may times and knew that the Ed product of the sound of a note with reverb or other affect had to be planned. It was all over this sinful passion

Thank you for what you've said about the English pronunciation. There were some American reactors who had been really judgemental about that, although there're different English pronunciations for every english-speaking countries like America, Australia, Scotland etc. Even in the same country there're differences from place to place. Even mistakes are common as in the correct use of the word "whom".
Just a notice, please be aware to put the link of his channel in the description of your reaction, so to be easier to be found, if someone is interested. Thank you for your great reaction. Take care.

Just a little something....never cut off what you feel is the ending on him singing.. Sometimes, there is a pause that makes you think he's done... but he isn't. Also, sometimes he speaks, afterwards. This just might be how you edit , but just a little mention of this. Isn't he just the GREATEST???!!!! Have fun!!! Kathy from Kansas City, ks

    Don't look for a catch.
    It's just his style.
Russian singers (Kazakhstan is a former part of the Soviet Union, where everyone still speaks Russian) are characterized by talent, sincerity and professionalism.

ugh, this video with it's loose translation is terrible. They try and make it so you can sing these words instead of the original lyrics. Which the original song is in Russian. But these are not Dimash's lyrics/song. Its from a band called A'Studio, a Kazakh/Russian band.
His hand, I always thought of him self conducting. So in his head with his hands he knows what pitch to hit depending on his whatever preset position he had in mind. Because he doesn't do the same position every time. Solo concerts he sing in English, Kazakh, Chinese, French, Italian, Russian and some songs have no words at all. Sometimes he will sing in the language of the country he's visiting/performing in.

It really irks me when reactors use videos from other people's channels. Especially when there have always been subtitles available on Dimash's own channel. It just makes me turn off when they use an unofficial upload.

He’s been very thin lately. I’m a bit concerned. I have sons who are 6’3”. He’s probably about 150-160 lbs.

Sorry but this is the first time I didn't bother watching to the end as it really annoys me seeing these rip off videos taking Dimash's work to get views for their own channel and they don't even pretend to get the lyrics right anyway.
All videos on Dimash's channel have subtitles in many different languages (sometimes up to 27 languages per song)
The only time you need to go outside of his channel is for a few rare performances that he's never uploaded. This particular performance has always been on his channel with full subtitles including Dimash's words at the end.
