Great reviews - I bought my first projector about a year ago, it is an Anker Nebula 480p portable projector. We have used it lots for kids films and going away. Honestly the 480p image is entirely acceptable at 100'' especially when you consider the distance away from the image you will need to sit to be comfortable. Im now in the market for a more upscale projector and was tempted by the Samsung Freestyle now its £400 but the reviews are not looking good. maybe an Anker Vega....
Just wanted to say this is an excellent review very informative and very watchable,really top notch stuff.im fairly sure I will be buying the cosmos max now.
One thing I would like to add, for the Nebula projectors, you can have a movie on an USB drive and play the movie directly off it. I do this with my old nebula Mars lite when I go camping since I usually dont have any WiFi connections.
Looks like a stellar image, but the need to have it 12 ft away for the 120" image is just too far IMO, especially with the plethora of ST and UST projectors available.

@@Badonicus for its size, and the fact it has a projector... the sound is super surprising! Its perhaps not quite as loud as a dedicated speaker of the same size because it does have that projection tech in it too... but if you get one, id be prepared to bet that you'll be as surprised as i was!
I love the idea of having apps on the projector itself so maybe I wouldn’t need a long HDMI run - except I’d need a way to get the sound to my receiver…

Just your estimation would be very amazing. EDIT 3: Salted, but I like Caramel Corn too. Depends on what I'm in the mood for.

@@StusReviewsUK Well, I usually watch in dark conditions, but it probably won't be able to replace a TV and since I rent and don't own a house, there's not going to be dedicated wall space for where I watch something. The review was comprehensive and I thiink the Cosmos is worth the extra money if I decide to go with it. Just wish there was a best buy or something I could see it in day time light, I absolutely abhor screen glare on my monitors and tvs.
I think you’ll struggle to find a projector that you can watch in full daylight, low light like in the evening or grey days you could get away with the cosmos though! Maybe a short throw laser projector possibly? Buy then they are several thousand!
If you are of a certain age, the only real popcorn to eat at the cinema is butterkist. The American style fresh popcorn made on site is just not the same.
Great video, though I was watching one of them Disney Earth movies lol. I just have one question before i buy it please, does the Cosmos Max have the ability to play 3d Blu-ray content? I saw in another video that the 1080p version does have that ability, but no one has shown that option, or talked about it.

Potentially, largely depends on how bright the room is and whether you have control over the light conditions. I'd say in bright direct sun (especially if it hits where you want to project), it probably wont be suitable. But, certainly in dimmer light, as long as you arent in direct sun, the Cosmos is great.
I really love extending the taste of Popcorn to the max. So to me sweet, salted and peppered popcorn is the greatest. And about the review I can approve it is great to have a 120 inch screen but having just one of those tiny ones not even capable of 1080p and only applicable in rare circumstances was always a no go to me. I have an Epson EH-TW3200 being 8years old with only 1800 lumen as one of its downsides and it makes me sad to see none of the companies improve with more current technology.
Projector great but battery failure after 6 usages amounting to 5 hours. 14 months after purchase so anker relegated to a doorstop. Disappointing. No more Anker products with this rigidity of approach to the lifetime of their products.

Hey man, know this is an older video but do you know if you can connect an Apple TV to both of those considering it’s hdmi?
You can use apple tv. Basically anything you can use on a regular tv with HDMI input.

For the cosmo max whats the best settings ?
Brightness on full, I’ve turned up the saturation by 5 on all colours, and bumped up the contrast by 10 or so. Found that to be to my liking.

I thought the cosmos was 900 lumens. That's what I'm sure I read.
