I, too, was there with my V2000 portable to keep the occasion for posterity. Philips was so much better than VHS. Unfortunately, there's no-one able to transfer my many hours of airshows (mainly Vulcan) to disc nowadays.

it interests me that this is 84, just i see photos of her in 84 that she had vdf cats on the nose and the flag on the tail, and was much more faded. but here shes darker and wearing 50 sqn badges you sure this isnt earlier

How quickly did it launch from a standing start! Sounds so much nastier than 558.

I am no expert but I would assume that with that much power on tap, they probably limit 558 to far less than military max power to conserve engine life and fuel.
