Having wind constantly on your chest makes your arms tired. Having a fresh breeze in your helmet is also a benefit 👌 too. It looks like it's doing a good job of both.
depends, I have a similar Puig screen on my Triumph Street Twin and it make a good job eliminating the wind on my chest but the wind buffeting onto my helmet is worse than I expected.
Thanks for the video. I think about to get exact this wind shield for my trident. I had one puig shield on my "licence schooling motorbike" (Cb650R) and highway speeds in germany was not a problem (up to 150 km/h). With the naked trident its hard for me as a beginner to get above 120 km/h. So much wind pressure! So thanks for the work with the windshield. I wear "ear protection" so i dont care about windnoise. ;)
I owned a Trident for a while and now own a Livewire One. I'm looking for a screen that aesthetic and above all effective at motorway speeds. I like the look of your screen and will see if I can fit it on my bike. cheers
nice video John concise and to the point. I too have a Chrystal white Trident 660 though i have the factory fly screen on mine, more for style than protection
As far as I understood from your observations the wind noise increased when you mounted the wind screen. That means that the airflow is not nice and linear around your helmet anymore but turbulent. At higher speeds a turbulent airflow can make your helmet vibrate. Some will prefer the naked bike keeping their helmet in a clean airflow. New riders should find their advice elsewhere.
I’m 6’4” with a primarily long torso…so basically all windscreens for this bike will only block wind around my stomach lol. The Unit Garage XL screen is 400mm but they’re so ugly compared to the Puig and way more expensive. My commute to work is 60 miles into the wind. The ride home is with the wind usually so not as bad.
@@giorgisyr1 Should be fine for anyone under like 6'2 or 6'3". My knees are slightly too high at my height so they don't grip the bike that well. 6'0" you should be good on basically all normal bikes.
nice video. i'm thinking of getting the new 2022 (orange) trident, so this is useful 👍 ..can i be really nosey and ask where you are filming this?? ..i'm in the UK so am massively jealous of all that lovely sunshine!
hahaa. Of course you can. Portugal my friend... Where the sun shines 320 days a year 👌 Sometimes a little to hot though 😂😂 Have fun on your new Bike. It's a fantastic machine 👍

Very good video for me,I am considering to install this windshield too. I having one concern was do any vibrate or shaking during high speed (up to 140km/h) I am trident 660 owner from Malaysia 😁
Hi there. No i didn't. Service said it was normal... i think its BS. But I'm yet to try another bike. Does yours have the same kind of delay? It may be an A2 thing... I'm not even sure its adjustable to be honest... I'll have to ask on the FB owners page...
@@John_Neves I don't own a trident, I'm researching cos I'm interested in the upcoming tiger sport 660. I'm not sure if that throttle response really matters in the real world or if it feels horrible.
@@mickleblade i hate it. It feels like those really old carb bikes, that you'd accelerate and they would take for ever to rev 😁 Of course it's not that bad, and it shouldn't be a turn off, because you get used to it. @@John_Nevesthe delay in the throttle is kind of weird I’m used to having a instant response, but I guess I have to get used to it. Sad that tridents are like that 😢
Installation with one hand - what a challenge ;-)
Nice video, illustrated demonstration of the windflow. Thanks for yr. Comments.
Hehe. Yeah, nice and easy job, and the results are quite satisfying 😉

Yeah. Its a great compromise. It does however make a bit of helmet noise...

I have the DART screen. These screens are great at higher speeds!
Hi John, Usefull video. Just got a T120 and trying to find a good wind protector for highways rides.
É possível instalar esse windshield quando a Trident está com aquele pequeno parabrisa original?
U earned a new subscriber bro ❤

Hi, can you inform me, what distance between the left and right support of windshield in mm?
Bottom hole is 220mm and top hole is 205mm

John, how is the screen holding out ? Is it still good ?
Fantastic!
My wife says it's staying on. 😀
As you can see on the video, It does make a little wind noise though. But the trade off is great. 👌😎
Awesome video!!! I truly appreciate it
Thanks. I'm glad it was helpful for you 👌
I'm really torn on if to get the full black version, would it obscure my vision at all? or will I see over it anyway? thank you.
