- We have been planning to turn out back deck into a glorious Cat Patio for awhile and we finally got around to it so we decided to film the entire process and share it with everyone! #diy #custombuild #couple

Love the catio 😻 we built one for our babies last year and added a cat door inside to allow them to go outside to it without having to open our slider every time. Great job 👏
You two are absolutely adorable! The catio is such a nice addition for the entire family. Love that you guys find so much joy in being together and in the simple things. So many young couples nowadays place too much emphasis on projecting a (phony) image and obtaining the biggest/best/most. Your loving relationship reminds me of my husband's and my relationship. Reminds me when my wife and I finished our patio. Like yours, it was lots of work. So rewarding when we got done. Good idea with the carpet. Ours is bare wood.

It looks great! Maybe you need to put an extra section of tin, but not a full piece, so it can be out an over the outer edge. This will help keep more of the rain out of the patio. It's like the eves of the house, if there was an eve on the outer edge of deck/patio you would not have the rain in the patio.
Just a little suggestion for you to consider. Other than that little bit, you both did a fantastic job!
You guys!!! That was a GREAT video. We liked the background tune, how it juxtaposed the hard work that was behind the project. The teamwork, dedication, thriftiness, love, ingenuity, learn-as-you-go-ness, flexibility (if it doesn't work, adjust), and make it work attitude is EVERYTHING we all need for EVERYTHING we do. Love the montage of the catio and the happy kitties. I laughed so hard when Turner looked out to Sammi and she takes off running. Then Turner says so nonchalantly, I guess a bee is after her, then goes right back to working.
Haha Sammie is unnaturally afraid of bees because she has never been stung.
That was a big job and it looks great. I would get some bamboo or grassy type blinds to put on the lattice where your sofa is so when it rains or storms you could lower the blinds so most of the rain would stay out and keep things dryer. Nice addition for you and your babies

We built a fence out of over 50 trellises come places double with landscape fabric between. You guys are doing a great job. We are over 70 and you are not old. :) KK

Great enclosed patio, more living space, so adorable, now you can do just about anything to decorate the inside, like a cat tree or something for the cats to climb up higher. Great great job, I love it❤💕

I live how ur so in to ur cats..I have 5 catse now down from 9..they are getting up there in age..I will always have cats...I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, so my son gets to take care of them and I just get to live on them...all but one cat is in door only kitties..one cat goes both I ndoor and out doors...love ur catio!! Plus we have 2 small dogs and the cats just love the dogs...I love everyone who LOVES animals!! Love ur u both, ur animals and it channel...Xoxo

Great job. The lattice work also comes in a hard plastic material that won’t rot so you never have to worry about replacing. Love the catio

Loved the video and watching the build you are hard workers my husband and i built a 5 bedroom steel frame home ourselves we stood the frame did the roof raked ceilings all internals and it nearly bloody killed me it took us a year we have raised three beautiful sons in our home and now 9 Grandbabies come to stay it's been 30 years one of our sons will be coming home with his wife and three beautiful girls while they build there own home there is a real internal pride to stand back at look at something you accomplish in life it doesn't have to be as big as this,a house a palace for your cats for some it may be getting out of bed to face the day hang on to that feeling and don,t let anyone take it from you.
