I think something that is cool about the burning crusade is that we went to another world and it introduced this whole idea of a cosmos to WoW but it didn’t feel like sci-fi. It still maintained very much grounded in fantasy
ngl my big gripe with TBC was it felt too sci-fi. I didn't really have a problem with portals to another world, more when it got to space ships and such.
@@MaxiVera-p6m I never liked Shattrath as a city, was basically a ditch in the ground. TBC's main strengths as an expansion I think was making specs viable (mostly) and the raiding was solid, even though I didn't really like the theme and we weren't really given a good plot reason for fighting Illidan and his crew besides "lol loot". I really didn't like the dungeon direction (glorified halls) and I didn't like that it made arena the "real PvP". It's honestly not an expansion I am _objectively_ fond of in spite of having the most nostalgia for it since that's I met a lot of long time friends and really got in to the game during it.
+Isaac Buckley dude, as soon as he was done answering that I immediately thought 'and that's what's happening to every spec in Legion...' probably sub for a month just to play a demon hunter but that might be it.
Homb Dest How could I feel like the special hero when every one who plays the same spec as me has the weapon that only i'm suppose to have? This is all subjective anyway and a whole other topic but the real point is that young WoW dev here are saying that this is a bad idea, 10 years ago.
+Ian Thornburg Each artefact currently has 6 skins and, at minimum, 4 colours per skin. The only way you're going to look like everyone else is if you stick to the basic skin / colour.
Cody the Schmuck I just think it might not be enough, some skins/colors are definitely going to be reserved for top tier achievements and not every player is going to get. And that's cool but I think the majority of the player base that's more casual is going to look very similar in terms of artifacts.
Me too. Warlocks were necromancers whom channeled fel (death) energy or coils and fel energy is death energy per 10:59. Now, warlocks are a fel parody of magi whom channel fel energy to make a person's skin green.
The Burning Crusade: let's make the Outland as true to the Draenor of Warcraft 2X as possible Warlords of Draenor: LOL NO, let's add Frostwolf lands because they're awesome and Spires of Arak and let's scrap Farahlon and make Zangarmarsh a sea and remove all mushroom trees and just let's make a map look totally different than Warcraft II despite it being the source material and Outland being based on it
wait. the titans went around and saw demonic races like the eradar...so they were naturally fell and then ordered into the Blue, and nar'uu loving draenei?
It's a bit of a shame that the whole "were gonna open the portals and take the fight to the legion" never happened. If that is what BC was originally going to be that would have been badass.
When you buy the collector edition of WoW expansions specially the TBC and Wotlk ones you get CDS of the making of the expansions and within these CDs you see some section that has the old Blizzcon videos.
@Krljavi Dzo Reborn Oh chey then I mistook yea I heard alot about WC3:FT butchered in WoW:WOTLK design and I did not know he wasn't the original creator of WC3 2002-2003 storyline but then again they really want to make a MMORPG way in 2001 development till 2004 with Chris Martzen so he had to became promoted Senior Story Developer/Designer I thought he was just the story designer turn out he both so he good at both wakaka. But, I understood but hey at least WoW was still good until Woltk for storyline then Cata 50% drop down then until WOW:legion still ok then Chris Metzen start retried alot shit went down haiss.

@Krljavi Dzo Reborn It true but both of them actually whoever suggestion to partner together with Activision it wasn't good imo. I prefer blizzard left alone and continue make the way they meant to be etc.
+Sapurass Just my thought. He is so hyperactive and just talks and talks without stopping. He must have been on something. Maybe too much energy drink? I don't know.
Maddie Scott No he didn't mean female characters were bad role models, he was referring to them being made more "realistic", sexyness toned down, and not sexualized inside the game where they were basically wearing platkinis and such. Which is disappointing.
The main spell creator and programmer passed away right before WoD dropped. (Ron Nakada you can google and see a bunch of shit about his passing) He created all the math since Vanilla. Once he passed, people couldn't handle his shit. They scrapped it all for, and said it was for balancing and class lore. (Legion)
I know this comment was 8 years ago but what they came UP with was good, the failings were in its execution. Multiple major patches got scrapped in favor of developing Legion, and the whole intro to Draenor was scrapped. Lots of the story got changed halfway into the expansion(like the legion time bs) that messed up the lore. It was just horrible execution of a great concept.
I was listening for hints on how the jailer was secretly behind everything

I was listening on hints how warlocks are necromancers secretly behind everything. 10:59, Chris Metzen defined fel energy as death energy.

17:00 is a definition of the path WoWs moment to moment storytelling went.
I'm schocked by how few views this has.
Current Blizzard Employees should be required to watch the full 2005 & 2006 Blizzcon at least once a year.

Funny how they went in the completely opposite direction in regards to the lore and player character.
