I am delighted that you're doing another clash of the patterns project!!! Even though these aren't the kind of trousers I prefer, it'll be fascinating to see how they work out for you. And those fabric colours are glorious!😍 I am really looking forward to watching the whole series of videos 👍
Thank you so much for watching, even though these aren't patterns you'd be interested in! I have a lot of fun with the series, so it's great to be back with another one!
The Sasha trousers fit me almost perfectly without any changes. I almost cried when I tried them on for the first time. I haven’t tried the others, so I’m excited to see the results.
I'd say that in my experience, Closet Core trousers are pretty good for me out of the packet. I've made the Ginger Jeans and the Jenny Overalls/Shorts, too. It's making me want to make all of their pants! The Ultimate Trousers were really very similar, so I'd recommend trying those if you like the style. I'm excited to get them all finished now!
Thanks for your bright and breezy outlook!! Can't wait to see this series, think trousers are one of the most daunting projects!! Looking forward to learning lots of hints and tips. Thanks for all your hard work xx
When you did your previous video asking for trouser suggestions, I also bought the Sew Over It Ultimate Trouser pattern based on the recommendations. I completely forgot that I purchased it, until I watched this video. I love your clash of the patterns videos and I’m looking forward to seeing how these three patterns work for you. Sasha is my go to trouser pattern, and I will now go ahead and try the Ultimate Trouser pattern.
Hello!! I'm so happy that you are doing this vlog on slim leg! I've had my eye on the Sew Over It trousers for a while too, looking forward to seeing how you get along before I purchase a slim trouser pattern now 😁 xx
Oh, awesome! I'm always happy to be the guinea pig for my fellow sewists. I'm hoping for wearable versions of all of these, but I am also quietly hoping for multiple pairs that I love. It will be really interesting to see how they compare!
So excited for another clash of the patterns. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos! I love your fabric color choices and the dress you’re wearing is so cute.
Excited for another pattern clash. Great news on the Sew Over It trousers. Wonder if they will do a discount for the relaunch? Might be worth waiting... Look forward to seeing the Style Arc Claudia pants. The vertical seam will draw the eye up giving the illusion of longer legs. Why is ZZTop going through my head 🎼😂. Love all the colours but I think my fav is the salmon elevated denim.
Thanks Nancy, I really do love that salmon fabric, too. And now you've got that song stuck in my head! 😂 They did offer a discount when the Ultimate Trousers were re-released about a week ago. Not sure if it's still on, but of course it was too late for me. I'm so curious about the Claudia Pants. Definitely a little bit different, which I like!
I can't wait to see how this goes!! I've have my eye on the sew over it ones and the closet core ones as well. But I'm kinda liking the style arc ones too. I'm excited to see which one you may inspire me to try!! Ha ha
Love the cord fabrics! Just one kindly meant suggestion: it would be really great if you would speak the lower end of the size range as well as the upper. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos 💕
Thanks, Sara! And that is a really helpful comment, thank you. I didn't know how much the lower size varies, but I was very aware of the huge variation in upper size. I will absolutely share both in the future, though.
Thanks, Sarah! I kept going back to the Minerva website because I know they have a good range. Unfortunately, most of the colors are deep/dark, and there weren't three that I could see myself wearing. I'm sure I'll try them out sometime, though!
@@LostMyThread yes I guess they are, I’ve used the navy, black and anthracite to make the itch to stitch upland trousers (my fave trouser pattern) and the peppermint wide leg pants, it’s quality fabric 👍🏻 looking forward to seeing your makes x
I'm so happy to inspire, if I can! Watching sewing videos is a great way to re-ignite that fire. I hope you're back up and sewing soon, but sometimes a break is just the thing. Thanks for watching!
I was excited about this series.. except the sasha ones are out of my size range ( I liked the look of those the most!) and I will never buy another style arc pattern in my life! But I'll probably watch anyways just to see how the sew over it pants are since they are upgrading sizes. I've actually bought floral fabrics that were the same..from different companies 😂🤣
I do think the Sasha's will come out in the extended size range eventually, so keep your eyes peeled. Apparently the block is the same as the Ginger Jeans (which is in the extended size range), so you could always try those but without the jeans details (5th pocket, topstitching, etc.). I might be saying the same thing about Style Arc after this... We'll see! That's so funny about the floral fabric. You clearly know your own taste! 😂
I am not interested in a slim fit taper leg trouser. I am a pear and prefer at least a straight leg. I am however interested in your review of the fitting, instructions, and overall impressions of the patterns. And I like your videos. 👊
You're very sweet to watch, even if you're not interested in the style. Thank you! Of course any of these could be adapted to be a straighter leg, but the style may not be for you, anyway. I appreciate you being here!!
@@LostMyThread I REALLY like the third, highwaisted choice. Looking forward to how everything turns out. I saved your trouser fitting video so I can refer back to it.
I’m disappointed all your picks are slim legs but otherwise the fitting issues will be helpful. Also, given the choice (and sewers always have a choice) I’d choose pockets every time. I do enjoy your videos even if I’ll never make the pattern.
Thanks, Barbara! I fully expected that this one wouldn't be for everyone, but it was definitely a big gap that needed filling in my wardrobe. And I figured that I could always add back pockets if I really regret not having them! 😉

Three great picks, Theresa! I am looking forward to this! 💗
Thanks, Andra! I'm quietly hopeful about all of them!
YAY! The clash is back! Really interested in how you get on with trousers 👖 😱
Me too! Honestly, if I get one pair of wearable pants out of it, I'll be happy. 🤞🤞
Such a useful, informative video. Thank you Theresa.
Thanks for following along, Mary!
will be looking forward to the series. trousers are always a struggle
Hoping that the stretch factor makes it less tricky! 🤞🤞
You did pull a Bri! How funny. Gorgeous colours! I can't wait to see how they all turn out!
Had to mention you. It was too funny! 😂 Hoping for some good ones!
I had totally forgotten that you’d mentioned it to me so as I was watching I was piecing it together like a dazed deja vu moment 😆

Thank you so much, Karen! I'm hopeful that I'll get some wearable trousers out of it!
So excited about this series - I am desperate to make some “real” trousers. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these patterns.
Thanks! I feel like the stretch element makes them a good compromise between style and comfort. I'm hoping so, anyway! 🤞
Really enjoying this series. So informative and helpful. Non-stretch pants are a big leap for most of us so......let the fun begin.
Well, the fabrics have stretch but no elastic. I feel like that should be a good balance. Time will tell!!
Love your “ clash of the patterns”, they are so helpful and fun!
Yay! I love hearing that. They're so fun to plan and make, so it's always great to hear that people like watching them!
Absolutely love these series and looking forward to hearing how you get on with all these trousers!
Yay! Thanks, Amelia! They're always really fun videos to make.

Thank you so much! I really enjoy making these, so they're worth the work for me. This dress has been an absolute summer staple!
I’m excited to follow along. I love these clashes that you do. How funny were those colors tho! They are really nice tho
Thanks, Mari! I clearly know what I like! 😆
I will look forward to see the outcome of your clash of the pants patterns. Cheers Mary
Thanks, Mary! I really need some pants, so I am very much looking forward to this one, too!
