"When A Man Loves A Woman"... Every female would be lying, or fooling herself if not totally surrendering to their heart melting at this rendition! 💕🥰😍💋💋💋
Also try their "Man of Constant Sorrow", "When A Man Loves A Woman", "Folsom Prison Blues", "God Blessed Texas", pretty much anything you do by this group will be amazing. I had to sub so I could watch you explore this group. I've enjoyed your other reactions to the American Patriotic songs. You might also enjoy Hank Williams Jr's "A Country Boy Can Survive".
Yep. A friggin' awesome performance. Note how Kaplan, from Pentatonix, gives a final nod to his friends by switching his cap for a western hat. Very cool. Almost as cool as your haircut. ;).
I'm a 62 yr old American. Want to hear something exceptional might I suggest. The band named Kansas the song "Dust in the wind" I guarantee it will move you.
I totally agree with all the songs mentioned. Also, Gold is amazing, Cheerleader is super fun & both My Favorite Things, Can You Feel The Love Tonight & Come Along really show the gambit their voices can run in one song. There are honestly so many options.
I really loove Accapella ..& all genres of this incredible music style. Don is very much partial to and loooves Country Music( Toby Keith & other of like artists) in particular..that's why Home Free is soo much to his liking . He enjoys watching videos of patriotism ...Home Free pays particular attention to these songs and repeatedly asks other famous artists to join them . He talks about his dream of traveling to Nashville etc etc !! As a musician having played with incredible bands...I love both HF & PTX..each offers something different to the music stage...!!! BTW... Read an interview with Scott(Ptx) who said that HF Austin Brown was the best lead acapella singer & that Tim Foust was able to tea ch their bass to sing lower !! Sorry..got carried away..head is full of info today!!
Home Free did a song for the memory of our soldiers, “Traveling Soldier “ it was so touching and sad, but remained beautiful. God Bless you and your channel.
Avi made his entrance vocally in this song just after Tim's opening with the words "and it makes a fiery ring" He is another great bass singer with an awesome range. He has left the Pentatonix group to pursue his musical career in another direction and remain good friends with them all.
These guys are crazy talented and their arrangements are superb. Frankly, they have well over 100 songs and videos on their channel so I would just scroll down the line and pick one that appeals to you. However, they do a stunning 5 harmony (no beatboxing) version of Go Rest High On That Mountain that you will most definitely enjoy.
Yeah Home Free is the real deal. I just discovered them during the pandemic and fell in love. Their harmonies are so good and they arrange the music so well. The beatboxer is amazing and the boys....so good! Plus their videos are always good. Avi Kaplan was a guest singer in this, he wore the black beanie. He was Pentatonix’s bass but left recently to go solo. He is a great bass. Tim Foust, the bass for Home Free, is an amazing singer. He has a 5 octave range so the can go really low but also sing high in the tenor range. Try Johnny Cash’s other hit Folsom Prison Blues that Home Free does. Tim cut his hair so he looks a little different but his bass is awesome. Other songs, Man of Constant Sorrow, How Great Thou Art, Country Roads. So many good songs. Also in videos prior to 2016 Home Free has Chris Rupp (a tenor and founder of the group) in the videos. He usually wears a baseball hat or cowboy hat. He left the group in 2016 and was replaced by Chance a bass/baritone. Loved your reaction!
Loved the reaction! Home Free's rendition of "Go Rest High On That Mountain" is *so very* beautiful, and the views in the video are just *gorgeous!* I very *highly* recommend it! You should check out Pentatonix; their cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" is just *stunning!* Especially the 'guitar solo' done by Mitch - just with his voice! To appreciate it to the max, watch Queen's official video of it first, then Pentatonix's version! You'll be saying "Wow!"; I guarantee it! *Enjoy!*
Johnny Cash. An American legend. Air Force veteran and true rebel in the classic American way, influence on rockabilly and likely punk music. He was genuinely his own man. Do not forget he also did the NIN/Reznor song "Hurt" before his death with much acclaim.
Great reaction! Homefree are the real deal!! We will make you a Scottish Homefry( a Homefree fan) soon!🙂 Thank you for this reaction! And us Homefries will be here for every one you do in the future.
Glad you love our guys, you will soon be a Home Fry. Please create a playlist for Home Free. Check out HF Take Me Home Country Road, When A Man Loves A Woman
For a Great one with Awesome harmonies...”Seven Bridges Road” !!! It’s a vintage Eagles cover. Oh hell....they’ve got over 130+ vide here on 🙃🇺🇸‼️. All genres 💖🙃‼️
Aside from their insane talent, you can count on the special quality of people who not only love what they do, but thoroughly enjoy working with the people they perform with. They also seem to be able to take a song and make it their own. Incredibly hard to do when covering a song where the original artist has owned the sacred ground of excellence for years. They handle it with grace and, where appropriate, with humor. There are currently 3 a cappella groups out there who have raised the bar way above the old fashioned Barbershop Quartet level of expertise. You are now acquainted with Home Free, next is Pentatonix, and then there is Voice Play. They are all excellent but different in their approach. When you have a chance, they all deserve a look see. I love your reactions from patriotic music to things American or UK. It is good to hear other voices with an outside perspectives. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your enthusiasm.
You know, I just came across your channel here tonight, was listening to various military songs, and then I saw God bless the USA with Home Free, and you said there that Home Free was wildly requested, and now also in this one (I'll be honest, I'm going through all your Home Free reactions now, I just LOVE Home Free, and I must admit, I just LOVE the smile on your face when you listen to Home Free songs. It's funny, I just read today that Home Free's fanbase (called Home Fries) are the most loyal musical fanbase in existence right now.
I am from Tennessee, and the town Jackson is just a minute from where I live. It is known that is the Jackson in the song. I am the number one Cash fan. He and June would love the version. Thank you so very much. I should say that it is thought to be my Jackson, since they were there a lot and was the home of the great Carl Perkins
So happy you like Home Free. My favorites are God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem with Oak Ridge Boys, and the amazing How Great Thou Art. For some fun The Butts Remix. Any of these would great for a reaction.
This is a pre 2016 song, when Chris Rupp was still in the group. Chris and Adam Rupp (beatboxer) founded the group 20 some years ago, and Chris has since moved on to other things. He was replaced by Adam Chance, a baritone/bass who they call Chance since there is already an Adam in the group (beatboxer Adam). Great reaction, can I suggest Man Of Constant Sorrow as your next reaction? New subscriber here.
I am amazed every time I hear this! I have lurked around your channel for quite some time and have enjoyed your content, but I am an avid “Home Fry” so I have finally subscribed to hear more!
Yes, please more Home Free. You will be receiving many more requests for particular songs, but honestly, there isn't a Home Free song that you won't like. They hit the ball out of the park every time!
Avi kaplan is an amazing bass, classically trained and part of the amazing 3 Grammy winning acapella group Pentatonix. He did eventually leave Pentatonix for personal reasons and to pursue a solo career. If you get a chance give them a listen. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for your amazing reactions.❤
You say "have not heard of Pentatonix " and all us Pentaholics are like... what? If you want a bunch of new followers, keep reacting to Home Free, and try out Pentatonix. The fan base is often intertwined!
Home Free In The Blood is fantastic. It was the 1st song I ever heard by them. I immediately fell in love. This song really speaks to me and probably many others.Love your Golden Knights shirt.
Avian is the one who changed his hat at the end. Also not sure if you noticed but the baritone featured here, Chris Rupp, is the original founder (along with his brother Adam, the beatboxer) of the group but left a few years ago. Darren Rust does brilliant arrangement a majority of the songs they cover. I'm SO glad you enjoy them! I know you do patreon requests 1st & I wish I could afford to add you to my list because I would! However, thought I'd share just a few of my favorites you might enjoy when you get a chance- "Blue Ain't Your Color, by Keith Urban "Elvira", by Oakridge Boys "May Day", by Cam "Love Train" by the O'Jays, & "How Great Thou Art" written by Carl Boberg I appreciate that you listen to the whole song first, then comment. Thank you. Mittaline from Oregon USA!
I think what really makes it work so well is the addition of that reggae beat ...it sounds strange to say, but it works awesomely in a country tune !!! It was a genius move ! This of course is one of their oldest songs & the groups sounds better with the addition of Adam Chance in May of 2016, since he can take over the bass line & let Tim sing in his upper range...check out their original, Dive Bar Saints.
New subscriber after watching your Toby Keith react! I wish all Americans here were as patriotic as you. This veteran thanks you sir!! Now......not familiar with Pentatonix? Oh Lord. You need to go down THAT rabbit hole! Hallelujah is a must see. Has like 500 million views or more I think. Also, "Daft Punk" is badass. Really anything. Check em out!
Ring of Fire was written by June Carter Cash and Merle Kilgore. June’s sister, Anita, first recorded it. Her voice was magical and the reason she was called the Appalachian Angel. The Carter Family were the First Family of Country, Americana music. Because of them and folks like Jeanne Ritchie , the Seegers, Doc Watson and others the Appalachian Ballad tradition brought over by the early settlers was revived and preserved in the 60’s. There will never be anyone like Mother Maybell and her guitar virtuosity. Miss you Johnny and June. What an epic story of the redemptive power of love.
Take me home, country roads, Elvira, fishin in the dark and hillbilly bone are my favorites. I listen to them every day and my 6 year old is in love with them.
Since you are enjoying A Capella so much (and Home Free is my favorite), I also recommend Voiceplay either My Mother Told Me, Carry On Wayward Son, Eleanor Rigby, or even Can't Help Falling in Love. (Hopefully one of your Patreons requests one of those) 🙂
All I can say right now is that I am really liking your reactions. Yes you are getting tons of requests and I won't add right now, but you will have fun. I have watched your reactions to a lot of songs...much appreciated. I am from Texas and am going to watch your reaction to the Yellow Rose of Texas now. :)
HOME FREE REACTION!!!! Yay! I have watched several of your reactions about America. You should listen to home free ft. Lee Greenwood and the USAF band god bless the USA if you haven’t yet.
You should react to Pentatonix. They are an outstanding a-acapella group. Suggestions to start is Hallelujah, Sound of Silence, 90s Dance Medley, Pentaholics will flood your channel
Home Free won the Sing Off competition show several years ago, it was an all a capella competition. Pentatonix won it the year before. HIGHLY worth watching them. Try Hallelujah first, it's their most watched video. I also recommend Home Free singing How Great Thou Art. It's a beautiful video. Another great a capella group is Voice Play. Their bass is named Geoff Castelucci, he's unreal. Try their Oogie Boogie Man.
I don't recommend "Mayday" until you have heard some of their other music. Otherwise the "difference" will be lost on you, guaranteed. The songs that Sherri Smith recommended are a good start. The more Home Free videos you react to, the more Home Fries will come running to view, like, and subscribe (hint). This is a very early video (not long after they won the Sing-Off) so about 7 years ago. The group at this time consisted of: Tim Foust, the low bass (the one who hit that G1 at the end of the song and held it). Joined 2012. From Texas. Austin Brown, high tenor, (third one to sing after Avi). Joined 2013. From Georgia. Adam Rupp, beatboxer. Co-founder of the group. From Minnesota Rob Lundquist, tenor (big beard and glasses). Joined 2008. From Minnesota. Chris Rupp, baritone. (in cowboy hat). Co-founder of group with brother Adam. From Minnesota. Chris decided to leave Home Free in mid-2016 for his solo career and other projects; he handpicked his replacement Adam Chance. Chance is a baritone/bass who used to be the bass for Street Corner Symphony. He has been the PERFECT replacement for Chris. Tim has pulled a "clark kent" recently; last summer in quarantine he'd been unable to get his usual haircoloring....so he said heck with it and cut it short and let the grey streak show. He'd also lost some weight due to giving up alcohol (he sure still loves food; I am taking his advice on restaurants he's visited that I will be near in future). Quite a few reactors do NOT recognize Timmy and are confused. The only personnel change in 8 years has been when Chris left and Chance joined.
First I have to say is I LOVE that Scottish brogue! My grandfather was born in Renfrewshire but when he came to the US he lost his brogue-he wanted to sound American. I also follow a Scottish cow hoof trimmer called the Hoof GP!!! That said, Home Free is the best a capella group around. Check out Country Fried Pop Medley - 17 songs, 15 artists-it's a rip, When a Man Loves a Woman,. I think the other fries below have covered many of the other songs you need to hear! love your reaction!
Pentatonix won Season 3 of The Sing Off and Home Free won the 4th Season. They're both acapella groups with loyal fan bases. You will love both groups, trust me.
Avi was the gentleman who took his skull cap off and put a cowboy hat on at the end his base is a little bit fuzzier than Tim's. I actually prefer the version of ring of fire that they did on The Sing-Off. If you want a rousing good time check out their sea shanty medley and for crying out loud get some sleep.
it's called Acapella it's music is a performance by a singer or a singing group without instrumental accompaniment, or a piece intended to be performed in this way. which i love that kind of music
Tim Foust is their bass singer with a 5+ vocal range, he was the one with long hair that had that extreme low note at the end. Avi Kaplan was the bass singer that changes his headgear to a cowboy hat at the end. Avi used to sing with another acapella group and is now out on his own. The young man with the tenor solo is Austin Brown, their High tenor, he has several songs out on his own channel since they have not been touring during quaranteen. Would like to request his cover of Etta James "At Last", he does a superb performance, just himself and hs best friend on guitar. Worth checking out !!!
Pentatonix are another acapella group with more of a pop/dance/techno sound, they are a lot of fun. Avi is no longer with them, he has an independent career now and his music is very different, he does folk-rock kind of music, his original Change on the Rise is something special and you might like to react to it. You might have noticed a change of personnel in this video from Travelin' Soldier. The fellow in the cowboy hat is Chris Rupp. He was the founder of Home Free and sang baritone with them. He has left the group for a solo career. His brother Adam Rupp is the world class beatboxer. Tim Foust is indeed the bass, Austin Brown is the high tenor with red hair, and Rob Lundquist, with the beard and glasses is also a tenor. Since Chris left, Adam Chance, the new baritone-bass, is in Travelin' Soldier and it the first one to harmonize with Austin at the beginning. Welcome to the Home Fries! 🙂
Avi Kaplan. My absolute favorited singer/songwriter. He leans toward Americana Folk and has a fabulous range and depth of resonance I have yet to find in othere.
They did this song when they were on The Sing Off and Tim went even lower THE SING OFF .Home Free - The Sing Off - Season 4 All Performances HD th-cam.com/video/7Hd3TtA-suo/w-d-xo.html
It is hard to imagine another group doing some of the things they do. But the same can be said of Voice Play too. Pentatonix is considered the top of A Capella. As witness in Avi Kaplan in this song. Seems like they do a lot of that sort of thing. You will probably like any of them. Don't forget Voctave also. The really deep voice this time was Avi. What you are talking about the change in the song. Is 'Making the song their own'. A lot of A Capella do that.
Avi was the gentleman in the knit cap...he was the bass with Pentatonix and had the step back for family reasons. Found this replacement Matt for Pentatonix and started a solo career. He is a baso profundo with an amazing range. You would also like his solo music but try some early Pentatonix for more amazing vocal sounds.
I think that the better version from them is the Sing Off week 3 Ring of Fire. It gives a better glimpse of Tim's range also! Might want to check it out and off course I will add Helplessly Hoping to the requests..perfection
I love that you love Home Free....seen them live 3 times and if you think they are brilliant by recording you should hear them live. Tim Foust (bass) makes the darn concrete vibrate. NEVER ever felt anything like it!!!!!
Check out Beginners Guide to Pentatonix They are also like Home Free. They do everything with their voices. Please react to them. I would like your opinion, 👍
Home Free does several songs with a comical twist you’d probably like. Please listen to “Never Gonna Give You Up”, and also “Love Train”. These guys are just unbelievably talented. If you are a Boyz to Men fan, listen to Home Free doing “End of The Road”, it might just be better than the original.
Tim Foust is the Bass for home free he does that last note

You really need to check out American Pie w/Don McLean. It is PHENOMENAL!!
You mean the Home Free version FEATURING Don McLean.

Yep. A friggin' awesome performance. Note how Kaplan, from Pentatonix, gives a final nod to his friends by switching his cap for a western hat. Very cool. Almost as cool as your haircut. ;).
Pentatonix won The TV show The Sing Off and Home Free Won the next Season of the Sing Off. Avi was the deep voice guy with the beard.
Did you do Home Free's "Go Rest High on that Mountain?" If not, do it! It's amazing
I'm a 62 yr old American. Want to hear something exceptional might I suggest. The band named Kansas the song "Dust in the wind" I guarantee it will move you.
If you’re not familiar with Pentatonix, you should definitely give them a try. A few suggestions: Hallelujah, Imagine, Bohemian Rhapsody.
And their Christmas songs give you chills. Ex. "Mary, did you know." They are the best accapello group, hands down.
I totally agree with all the songs mentioned. Also, Gold is amazing, Cheerleader is super fun & both My Favorite Things, Can You Feel The Love Tonight & Come Along really show the gambit their voices can run in one song. There are honestly so many options.
Need to check out their mash-up of Daft Punk. They won a Grammy forcit.

My recommendation as you dive into Home Free is to hold off on watching their cover of Mayday by Cam until you get to know their normal ranges.
The fact that they did this around a veritable campfire just .. ADDED to the performance. Magnificent.

love this group, glad you are reacting
You should listen to the Home Free song celebrating the 50th anniversary of American Pie, featuring the original writer and performer, Don McLean.
they also do a version of Folsom Prison Blues great job, though different than Johnny Cash
Pentatonics is another extremely talented acappella group.
I think that I misspelled their name Pentatonix

I agree with Sherri about Home Free. If you like the guy who makes the beats with his voice watch their sound of Man of Sorrows

Johnny Cash is an American icon.

He did eventually leave Pentatonix for personal reasons and to pursue a solo career. If you get a chance give them a listen. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for your amazing reactions.❤
I'm pretty sure that Johnny Cash would be smiling & clapping in Heaven!
I like the way Avi grins when Tim holds that last deep note. A great bass singer appreciating another great bass singer.
Thanks Don! My 1st time hearing this one.
However, thought I'd share just a few of my favorites you might enjoy when you get a chance-
"Blue Ain't Your Color, by Keith Urban
"Elvira", by Oakridge Boys
"May Day", by Cam
"Love Train" by the O'Jays, &
"How Great Thou Art" written by Carl Boberg
I appreciate that you listen to the whole song first, then comment.
Welcome to the HF Rabbit hole it goes deep like Tim's voice, you are now a Home Fry
I do believe that you are officially a "Home Fry" aka Home Free Fan. Welcome aboard...
Home Free...even better then Girl Scout Cookies...LOL
Sea Shanty Medley
Avi Kaplan was the guy who put on the cowboy hat at the end. You should check out their rendition on the Sing Off.
There's a video of Tim Foust, Home Free's superbass, blowing a speaker with his voice and range... it's awesome.
FYI - there’s a show in the states - The Sing Off and in 2012 panitonix won , Homefree won 2013 and Voiceplay won 2014
The group at this time consisted of:
Tim Foust, the low bass (the one who hit that G1 at the end of the song and held it). Joined 2012. From Texas.
Austin Brown, high tenor, (third one to sing after Avi). Joined 2013. From Georgia.
Adam Rupp, beatboxer. Co-founder of the group. From Minnesota
Rob Lundquist, tenor (big beard and glasses).
They're so amazing!, you can react to "Meet in the middle" or "Mayday" great songs
Love your channel. You will get a kick from their Butts remix. Also their rendition of "Meet Me In The Middle"
Don don't forget ragged old flag by Johnny Cash ,,,🤠
These guys are amazing! Love this! Keep checking them out and all of us Home Fries will be here for you!
Try their video of "Sea Shanty Medley".
You need to watch
Voice Play --My Mother Told Me, another Bass friend of Tims
it's called Acapella it's music is a performance by a singer or a singing group without instrumental accompaniment, or a piece intended to be performed in this way. which i love that kind of music
Thank you so much.
Oh wow...so great👍
Avi Kaplan. My absolute favorited singer/songwriter.
He leans toward Americana Folk and has a fabulous range and depth of resonance I have
yet to find in othere.
Home Free, fans are called Home Fries, and Pentatonix is another acapella group that is good as well.
When you get a chance, check out their cover of the 70's O' Jays hit, Love Train. You get to see some awesome dance moves. Great reaction.
You are just too funny. I love your reactions. God Bless you.
They did this song when they were on The Sing Off and Tim went even lower THE SING OFF

If you really enjoy acapella music, you should also check out Pentatonix. Both groups are great at what they do.
You should react to When you Believe by One Voice Childrens Choir. I think you would really enjoy it :)
You need to check out Pentatonix Hallelujah
Home free is wonderful and Pentatonix is Amazing as well.
I think that the better version from them is the Sing Off week 3 Ring of Fire. It gives a better glimpse of Tim's range also! Might want to check it out and off course I will add Helplessly Hoping to the requests..perfection
OMG, you have to be familiar with Pentatonix! Check them out you won't be sorry! Hallelujah would be a great place to begin :)
If you love them you should hear Voice Play. Especially the Oogie Boogie song or Their bass singer Geoff doing Blackbird.
my best suggestion is how great thou art by home free
I love that you love Home Free....seen them live 3 times and if you think they are brilliant by recording you should hear them live. Tim Foust (bass) makes the darn concrete vibrate. NEVER ever felt anything like it!!!!!
Check out Beginners Guide to Pentatonix
They are also like Home Free.
