Man, why aren't more people talking about this video. I think it really expands on the message of more content hitting Xbox and the value of Game Pass. I think this really addresses a good number of the criticisms of the Xbox E3 Presentation.

@@brickweathertop7907 i think for now it is very much worth it (from a consumer standpoint) . For the future probably not. because we are really getting to a oligopoly. But for now we get great games and great ips and this in combination with gamepass (at a great price for now)
it's all fun and good to acquire these studios but letting them run around willy nilly and make what they want all the time doesn't sound like good business. They should be ever to pitch whatever they want but to just sign a check and check in every few month doesn't sound like a good business model. I think by next E3, they will have acquired at least 3 more studios.I fully expect the team who made The Order and possibly the team that made Until Dawn to be under the MS umbrella by next E3.
@Jeff V I'm sure they aren't worried about the studio pickups making fighting games as they all seem to have some kinda expertise in one genre or another and fighting is none of them.And i highly doubt they would ever release all their games with in six month window anyway. They aren't picking up studios for game pass, as most of the games on game pass are third party games that people missed or forgot about.The studios are for them to try and match the amount of first party studios to make enough content to keep up with the Sony releases. Five is kinda of a high number.Most people aren't really for sale and the rest are waiting to see if MS is really hands off in the creative process or if that's just talk.I think they will target studios that Sony could potentially pick up and bring them into the fold. Essentially playing keep away.

As a predominantly PC/Sony gamer who has never bought an XBOX console, I feel like Microsoft are making the right moves. Given that the difference in architecture is negligible between Sony/Microsoft consoles, and now that most third party titles are available on both systems, the prevailing reason (at least in my mind) to buy a game console is for exclusive content. By that, I don't mean map packs for COD - I couldn't care less - but top tier game experiences. Sony has been extremely smart at establishing/acquiring a wide breath of first party studios who consistently create new and compelling franchises. Naughty Dog for example are basically the poster child for that kind of philosophy. As someone who is not particularly interested in Halo, the only way Microsoft will convince me to game on their services or buy their consoles is to have NEW unmissable experiences that are exclusive to their platform. Content is everything.

Look I don't care what u guys buy, but u guys need way more single player narrative focused games.... preferably 3rd person games. Also I know u got fable going, but for crying out loud u need more rpg's. Let's be honest here no one cares about gears 5.....that was probably the worst moment in ur conference, all that time to show nothing...no one cares for the story and the gameplay is old at this point....for Halo u really need to do something cuz doom is kicking ur ass in both gunplay and story/setting. I'm rooting for u guys cuz u guys are making the right moves for next gen, but man it's sad to see basically nothing this conference worth note....not even cuphead DLC which comes out this year?...battletoads was just a montage? The OP confused me, because it sounds like they are basically saying "force an overall spread of different games on them to make" instead of "make what you want" Also, looking at the games these devs have made, and some of what we know they ARE making (and whatever they may be making) - MS first party puts Sony first party to shame on being eclectic (instead of everything looking like it was made a team at Naughty Dog).
