Subscribed. The beginners really need step by step indications and videos with the basics explained by examples, like this one. Could you do a video on how to build a letter in an invented font (you give the whole shape of that letter - the angles, the curves, the serifs) in a circle ⭕️ without background inside, so it would be like a logo? It wood be cool to also make a follow-up video on how to make it a watermark and apply it on photos. Thank you. Many would be really happy and would appreciate it!
Are you referring to “uploading custom fonts on Canva and then curving them into a shape of a circle and then exporting it to use as a watermark”? If so yeah 👍🏻 I’ll make a tutorial on that soon. 😊
@@inuriofficial I think that would be great too! I am here to learn as much as I can! I’m not sure I understand what custom fonts are, or by who they were created or if they have a license, but what I was trying to say was that I would want an example on how to make a letter from scratch, like if I would invent that letter. For example, I need an “M”, or an “m” or whichever letter of the alphabet, capital or small as a logo in a circle. If I make it without using an existing font on the market, but I build it from scratch without a model in mind, then it would be entirely unique. Like if I would put in a logo a letter from my handwriting (I have quite a beautiful cursive handwriting), and what can be more personal than your handwriting ? I would not fear it has already been done. I have learned a few things from the video above, even though I do not need such a profile picture (yet). However, I am sure these skills can be used in various ways and in different projects. I saw a logo of an Etsy shop, SilverRainSilver, that is put on some of their photos in the form of a watermark. It consists of three letters in a droplet shape - SRS. I am trying to make something similar but in a circle. But I am ok with whatever skills you are teaching us all cause they are versatile.
This is a great question, and I’ll make a tutorial on it soon. Since this is a two-part question, I’ll explain how to create custom fonts on Canva. Here’s how: If you want to turn your handwriting into a font, search "calligraphr" on Google. There is a free version available. It will prompt you to write your own font over the alphabet. This process is easier on a tablet/iPad using an Apple Pencil. Once you finish, you can convert your handwriting into a custom font and export it in TTF or OTF format. I believe the fonts you create are your sole property and can be used commercially, but please double-check the terms of use on the Calligraphr website, as it’s been a while since I last used it 😊. Once converted, you can upload the TTF or OTF file you downloaded from Calligraphr to Canva as a custom font. This feature is only available for Canva Pro users and is located under the brand kit. I already made a tutorial on this, which is available in my Canva tips playlist on TH-cam. Once uploaded, you can use your custom font in your designs however you like. You can also curve your custom font text into a circle using the Canva text effects. Hope this helps ❤️ For the other part of your question about creating a font entirely inside Canva, I’ll make a step-by-step tutorial, as it’s hard to explain through text. Stay tuned!
Great
