This theory doesn't sound right kuz Julio was alive to write the diary which means he was alive for many days. He was clutching the radio which also means he survived after the 3 sailors died or disappeared.

Maybe jab Julio ne unn 3bhaio se lift lii hogi toh wo 3bhai ko Julio ka saaman dekh k lalach aa gya hoga. And wo 3bhaio ne soscha ki isko loot liya jaye. And 3bhai ne mil k usko loot lia and. Maar diya

According to my theory those 3 brothers might have already killed julio and thats the reason they denied help from the 1st ship because if they would have accepted the help and after reaching the shore everyone would have come to know about their deeds. After the 1st ship left they would have taken the boat to some isolated island away far away from search radar and there they would have hanged his body inside the engine room removed his clothes and took all the belongings to hide his identity and tore those 28 pages in which julio might have written some crucial info about what had happened with him. After that they would have left the boat in the sea again and they stayed on the island and waited for some other ship or boat to come, asked for help climbed in that boat or ship and disappeared. And after few days the ship which was going to Venezuela saw this boat and took along with it. But how did the to-line got cut is still a mystery.
My question- May be you are right but if those three have something that important in the ship that they don't want to show someone so why they give lift to julio they can ignore him
But there may a chance that julio offered them money so he can also join in this journey after all his wife is ill so..i thought u all get my point and due to this journey he learn many secret about those boyz and may be those 28 pages contain that secret. The first 1 ship they denied for help bcuz they trapped julio in engine room . And bcuz 1ship give them food so now they can continue journey and in there second journey they don't feed julio . I guess they 3 may reach some where during there second journey and those three leave the ship and the julio in the ocean with this thought that he might be dead by now or would die. My theory :- Probably those three friends would do any illegal work like smuggling. Otherwise , from this story we can understand that man who wanted help from them was rich. So probably, he had a lot of money with him in that journey and those three friends became greedy after seeing it. So the try to take it from the man by force but that man would not agree. Besides, he ceme to know about their any illegal work. So they try to kill him and he would hide himself in the enginee room and wrote the diary. Bur at last they broke into the room and killed him . And this is why they didn't wanted any help and wanted food so that they can go any nearby island or country. After reaching that nearby place, he left the boat on the see again so that none get sny proof of their crime and started to live in another country changing their identity.
