Poulan rocks man!! Poulan 1800 1.8 ci was my first saw my mom let me run by my self, when i was 11 yrs old, made a deal that id cut cord of wood and sell it for the saw, and i cut like 4 cords that yr, paid 70$ new
Width of the chain driver. There are 3 sizes, .050" .058" and .063" The bar and chain have to match. But when a .050" bar wears it allows the chain to rock side to side, so you can slam a .058" chain in that bar when it wears out enough and take the rocking out of it, but it has to be worn pretty good. Hope this helps.

So we think either the chain driver is too small or the bar groove is to wide.
