Puddles Pity Party I'm a little tardy to the party but I really do love your covers I'm a singer myself just never upload anything but I base a lot of my singing style off of yours as well
Puddles - it was pure coincidence to discover you!!! And a pure pleasure! AWESOME - GREAT - GORGEOUS! Thanx a lot for your songs! BIG BIG hugs'N'kisses!
So often, when puddles sings the song, I finally understand the lyrics for the first time. His diction is amazing. And you can feel his soul and his music. And his tonality is amazing. But what surprises me is hearing a song after hearing it for hundreds of times an understanding lines of the song for the first time.
I'd not seen anything close to such a meaningful expression since observing a man in tears many years ago, who was sitting on a toilet seat inside of a temporary ten man latrine facility, shortly after he passed a rather dry and difficult bowel motion. This clown is just tops!
tbh, Cheap Trick admits the song was written in about three minutes as a mockery to other songs begging girls for "we all know what" (their words). Puddles definitely gives the words depth, and maybe the original songwriter won't admit to themselves or the public that the words are actually deep. But their stated intention for writing the song was to make fun of all of these other songs begging girls for sex.
Who is this guy? Who ever he is, he's got one of the best voices I have ever heard! And I have heard alot of them over my lifetime!!! Bravo clown, bravo!!
Oh Puddles, I love you. My dear beloved died in February last year, 11:15 a.m. on the 5th, cardiac arrest. So, I turn to you Puddles when I need a meloncholic pick ,e up. You Sir make life better, bearable without the love of my life. We were married 46 years. God Bless you Puddles. You sir are an angel in a white face. From an old woman
This is so beautiful, his voice is so amazing. I don't think people know how unique his tone is! I could listen to him forever! Miss singers like this. Pure talent all around
Wow. I've seen other artists try to do this style where they slow down a peppy pop song and make it emo. Usually it's pretty formulaic-- I know one band that made a whole album around the idea-- but this is really masterfully done. Bravo, puddles!
Holy Crap! Puddles, the last couple of songs you've sang lately are just incredible! You keep surprising me every time. JUST WOW! This is an awesome cover.
I showed this to my mother, now she watches it like 20 times a day. She is really getting into you. I'm so proud. (She says this is way better than the original. I agree.)
dude my friends were saying this was creepy, how is this considered creepy? Im depressed as fuck lately, this actually makes me happy for a minute or two, keep doing your thing,I'm now a subscriber.
Brandon Lange they just aren’t able to comprehend this emotion. I could already tell the rest of these songs are gonna have this guys soul embedded into it. 🎶🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵🎶
Your version of 'I Want You To Want Me', is so heartfelt. It made me miss those years of the great bands that didn't know how great they were yet. How fitting their songs were to somebody. Your songs will do the same.
I need to start doing something like this to mock my poverty and depression so I don't take myself and my misery too seriously anymore and maybe grow out of it. Just found this guy today and this is the idea his channel gives me.
I love Cheap Trick. I love Puddles. I love the original version of this song. I LOVE Puddles' cover of this song. I hate that I can only give this video a single 'thumbs up'.
Puddles, the first time I heard you on AGT. I was hoping to hear you again. And here you are on TH-cam doing your thing. Your voice is a gift. Clarity, tome, pitch, and clear verbal pronounced words. No matter what life throws at you KEEP SINGING. No matter how tough it gets, sing LOUDER!. Shake the foundations which hold you back with that perfect voice. DREAM BIG and NEVER LOOK BACK! You got this!!!
Thank you, Puddles you provide a welcome sanctuary of that special melancholy serenity I often so desperately require in an otherwise chaotic and cacophonic world.
. . . no matter what you sing - you turn it into a piece of art! Thank you Puddles - thank you from Germany! I grew up with Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, Conway Twitty, Roy Orbison . . . so please: listen to "Don´t" and "That´s when your heartaches begin" from Elvis. That songs are perfect for you - they are more than perfect!
Hey Puddles. Gotta say that you have one of the most amazing, emotive voices I've ever heard and it warms my heart with every video you post....I know its too late, since you've probably already shot a release for today, but I was sitting here basking in my Irishness and thinking how much I wish you'd post a vid of Danny Boy today. Cliche? You bet, but my lord, what you could do with that song....you could end the "troubles".
The first time I saw Puddles on AGT, I knew he was special. I have followed him all over youtube eversince and I'm hooked. I can listen to him all day for the rest of my life. Whatever he sings sounds so good, it's as if I'm hearing it for the first time. Thank God for your beautiful voice and incredible talent! You're such an inspiration and you make people truly appreciate and love music.
Might be the most human, honest, vulnerable, decent, kind and humane adult male composition and/or performance I ever heard in 60 years. I I've heard a few, including the original, live and mind numbingly loud. I'll take Puddles, bro. He's my main man, my connection to my true brothers. Thank you, sir.
Ah, Puddles, you've really done me in this time. This is so beautiful. Someone who really loved me dedicated this song to me, many moons ago. I loved him too, but I couldn't give loving him (or anyone else) a chance, because I was afraid of love. I was afraid of love because of my emotionally abusive ex and my parent's bad relationship. Also because I thought there was something fundamentally wrong with me and I didn't want to drag a good guy onto a relationship with me. So I pushed him away. He's happy now with a beautiful wife and children. I'm happy for him and would never mess that up for him, even if I could. Every time I hear this song it makes me cry thinking about the kindness he showed me when I needed it so, so much. I tried to act so tough. But he showed me tenderness. I will always love him.
saw the P-man a couple days ago... he had a video of cats and dogs and other assorted animals going along with this song with the message please adopt at the end... was really cool.

Can't believe I'm saying this but its better than the original. Thank you and damn you at the same time. Would love to hear Spaceboy (Smashing Pumpkins) or Today or Disarm. I think you'd kill it.
Sir!! You are the most talented person I have heard in half a life time!! Your vocals take me back to yesterday and bring tears to my eyes. Seriously, Hallelujah had me balling like a baby wishing I could sing like that. I hope they play your music in heaven!!! Good bless you. I hope you make big things happen in your life!
Just discovered Puddles, and, man, he has it all. Crazy artistic, tasteful handling of the material, fabulous voice, huge range, and emotional empathy that shows every nuance on his face- a similar gift that Judy Garland possessed that grabs the audience and doesn't let go. This combination of talents is amazingly rare. His wrapping it all in the trappings of an otherwise mute, sad clown, like Red Skelton's or Chaplin's Tramp is genius. Oh, the humanity!
Marvelous. Puddles is a real artist. The way he can change songs to be way more meaningful. And all that in the theme of pity or sadness. Many lyrics touch way deeper than when the original artist sings / plays them.
Gawd, I was getting a Roy Orbison vibe there. I tripped over puddles a couple of weeks ago and haven’t been able to stop watching. I’m not a clown fan, theory is you can’t see what they’re thinking or feeling, but Puddles, I HEAR what you are feeling. Yours is a voice and talent that is very rare and very special. Please keep it up..
I've never listen to someone sing before , where I feel and understand the meaning of the lyrics as much as I do with you ! Truly appreciate your talent !
I’ve heard this song by Cheap Trick hundreds of times and liked it. This version changes the whole significance of the lyric for me. I like it. “Get home early from work if you’d say....” wow! Sappy and heartbreaking at the same time. I never got that vibe from the CT version even though the lyric was there the whole time. Excellent job Puddles!
Have I already commented this one? Don't know, don't care. This is such a great and touching version of one of my first favourite pop hits. As a small boy I of course just got hooked by the indisputable catchiness of the tune. Listening to you, I cry.
Holy shit! Don't even know how I ended up listening to this. I was watching dog rescue videos. Amazing! I love good covers and this is incredible. I get it.
If you haven't yet, go see this Clown in person! He is awesome! I saw him in Chattanooga earlier this year. He took the time before starting the concert to shake everyone's hand in the concert hall, upper level too. He even gave pats on the back to the people working the drink bar and the ushers. Awesome dude!
Reminded me of being a kid with my late father in his old Firebird, riding around with the stereo on, and being without a worry. Thanks for a trip to the Way-Way-Back

MUCH better than the original!!
Really good but not better than the original
"better" is all relative. To each his own, however, it's obvious this is damn amazing cover of a damn amazing classic original song.
4 years later and nobody does it better than you Puddles
I’m picking up some subtle Roy Orbison vibes with this one and I’m loving it!
You are right!
Easily one of the greatest voices in the world today.
Puddles, simply amazing. This gave me chills. I'm a 54 year old cynical misanthrope. I don't get chills often. Thanks. This world needs you.
