    I LOVE this guy!!!!
I've been a Dodger fan for over 50 years and very rarely paid attention to the organists.
Then one game I remember an opposing pitcher walked a Dodger hitter and I heard "walking in L A" by Berlin being played by the organist.
That was the day I became a Dieter fan😃
Now I pay attention to what's being played, even if the Dodgers are losing, Dieter makes the game fun.

I am such a fan. How he interacts with Joe and Orel. The playfulness with his choices. How he trolled the Astros. And “Time to Say Goodbye,” always places so well. He absolutely enhances my joy with the games.

There's definitely a stark difference between the way Nancy Bea handled the game and the way Dieter handles it. I think that being a hockey organist gives Dieter a feeling that everything needs to have a musical segment. That the fans always need to be hearing something. Nancy's style was a little bit more of an atmosphere builder. Not everything was a musical cue for her. She would really only play during long pause and would absolutely never play during the visitors' half of the inning. I think both styles work very well and I wish that we could have them alternate. I mean, I know Nancy is retired, but I would love it if maybe she would play a day game or a game once a week. Games that don't have a whole lot on the line and are really more atmospheric and laid back. Really to just soak up the scenery of the ballgame. Dieter's style works for high stakes games and weekends. These games are the ones people would really be watching the scores and going nuts over.
Not only that, but they have/had different repertoires. Again, that sort of goes back to their style of handling the game. Dieter's repertoire sounds like something you would hear at basketball and hockey games. Very fast paced, energetic, and are usually pop songs. That makes sense. Hockey and basketball are very intense, very fast paced games. You need something with a big energy level because both the crowd and players are feeling it. Nancy's felt a little bit more like a ballgame. Her songs reminded you of a walk in the park and gave a feeling of nostalgia. That's not tosay that one is better than the other. I think both are welcomed. MLB really is trying to push for a faster, more intense game, so naturally the musical accompaniment should reflect that. They also do try to keep a feeling of nostalgia though, so it could be argued that Nancy's style and repertoire are the way to go.
If I had to choose one over the other, I would slightly lean towards Nancy because yeah, I grew up listening to her and the sound of her organ was more appealing to me. She used more of a jazz organ while Dieter uses more of a rock organ. Plus, I have to give Nancy points for having a legit tiered organ and not just a single keyboard like Dieter, but I do still love Dieter and think he brings a unique musical vibe that a lot of other ballpark organists don't. Whoever you prefer, the Dodgers know how to find talent not only on the field, but definitely in their sound dept.

The most annoying aspect of yht games now. There's a chant between EVERY pitch!
"Everybody clap your hands" then "cha-cha-cha let's go" etc etc
Not one second of silence for the ADD dodgers fans ...
Back in the day, Nancy would do the "charge" chant only when the team rallied.
It's so annoying now. Lazy dodger fans are constantly encouraged to make noise.

Dodger Stadium has always had a central source sound system. When it was built the speakers were attached to the beams holding up the scoreboards in left and right field. Sometime in the 1970s, they replaced those with the tower in cf. They've changed the kinds of speakers a few times but that's about it. With such a system there are no echoes in the park and they don't have to worry about which of the 200-300 speakers in other parks might not be working. Yes there is a delay, about 1.5 seconds. Big deal. The PA announcer wears headphones.

This man is becoming a tired act. He plays the same thing, over and over again. If you are a musician, you know the difference between a keyboard player and a real organist. This guy is a keyboard player. Dodger fans deserve a real classic organist who plays on a real organ, not a keyboard. Let's Go Dodgers. That's all he plays. Please Dodger Management, hire a real organ player that plays in the classic style.
