Polite request, is it possible to turn down the music in future episodes? I listen whilst painting and it's hard to concentrate with music in the background, thank you :)
Not sure if it’s possible, but could we try Skyrim music in the background to match the screen? A bit of far horizons or from past to present 👌
Hanz needs to just let things go.
The kid borrowed minis from the club. He borrowed 1000 points. The Fanta was bought. The Minis borrowed. DAMN, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF LETTING THE KID PLAY WITH ME. No Sue ain't trans. Just likes wearing skirts.
WTF 😂 same thoughts haha
Pretty nice of the club to not be judgemental about Sue for their choice of attire, just their choice of conduct. 👍
@@Rd0Lg I mean it's a generally chill place. They have currently about 200 members. You're bound to get one or two weirdos when you have that many folks in a community. It's even more likely to happen when the majority of the community falls between the ages of 19 and 27
The bit about parents failing is only 90 percent true sometimes a person can genuinely be born a psychopath with no ability to feel empathy or normal human emotions and no amount of discipline will help them
Yes. But a psychopath "running from the crime scene" knows fully that he did a bad thing. Otherwise he wouldn't pretend, cover up, or run and hide like this fukker did. Being a psycho and having no empathy does not excuse anything (not saying you said that, i'm just pointing it out). I know a few psychos and they are weird AF but none of them have comitted crimes like the animal in this story.
$50 says Sue isn't a metalhead. He's an emo kid. Back in the day, when metal and screamo...I mean "metalcore' bands, would play the same bill, we used to play "boy or girl' in between sets. It was honestly very difficult to tell because they all wore girl pants (skinny jeans), an obscene amount of makeup, long skunk hair, etc.
What's funny is that nowadays, nu/metalcore is relatively mainstream and metal is still somewhat fringe. Most of my normie mates listen to it regularly lol
@@armata_strigoi_0 yeah, a lot of the old metalcore bands went straight radio rock and the newer bands sound more electronic than anything. There's a reason I haven't turned on a radio in nearly two decades! 🤣
I feel satisfied as I figured out Sue before north did as when i heard his description I was like "I'm 90% sure that's femboy"
I must admit I find it a bit suspicious when people upload multiple hobby nightmares. Not saying that they're BS by default but it seems odd to me that people supposedly have several saved up to the point where they occasionally dripfeed you with them.
It really is crazy, I've been in and out of the hobby for near in 30 years and I don't have a single story even remotely northworthy... oh dear.. maybe I'm the nightmare...
“Flat as a washboard” is such a raw line 😂
"Faithful are the wounds from a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful."
Proverbs 27:6
Never be afraid to correct your friends when they need correcting.
with Hanz and the 'getting the rules wrong' story... they need to calm down and relax. Get out of your head and stop letting your emotions dictate how you interact with world.
Hard to do with depression, you know your thoughts aren't rational and easy to misinterpret anything as something negative, but at the same time you can't stop the thoughts from coming.
ohhh I cant wait!!!! hahah I hope its some Über Jensen story.
Jensen : you havent seen my final form yet
''Proceeds to transform into Joker''
The tyranids player description 😂😂😂
For the story of Hans,
I would like to ask Hans.
If someone else gets a rule wrong, do you see that person as someone more akward or dumb?
No, you will not suddenly think less of that person because they got a rule wrong.
So if you don't care if other people make a rule error, then other people don't care that you make rule errors.
42:44 ‘I would insist this young man play with me’ - Northern exile
North, what is the backing track on this one? It’s hella catchy!
Jensen is real. I made a joke here that I was late to a video because Jensen turned my clocks back. My wristwatch stopped working today...curious
I've said it before, but although I dont always agree with North about relationship advice, he's almost always spot on with dealing with other men/ improving yourself. If people like Hans are listening take what he said to heart, even if you dont think it applies to you. If you dont think you need to change you are wrong. We can always be better, and need to be.
The Hanz "got the rules wrong" story REALLY sounds like Hanz probably got HEATED about the rule. There was probably a big argument with other people possibly poking the bear because they saw him getting that flustered over it. And Hanz should learn to just read and reread the rules, and listen to others, before being stubborn in an argument.
Unless, like you said, it's just a rare BAD group.
The amount of clip opportunities at the end of this nightmare😂😂😂
Did you call them "Sue" because of the Johnny Cash song? If so, round of applause XD
@@slavetotheparasites413 i figured there'd be at least one person who'd make that connection. Also, the answer is yes.
@Dominik189 well done sir, 10 points to you
Your hobby nightmares content is my favourite. Thanks Northern Exile.
Called the GF as fake instantly - did not expect in what way :(
Poor Hans
Is like a dog who has been kicked too many times.
It sounds cynical, but don’t assume you know someone, unless you’re really close to them. Casual acquaintances, your neighbour, colleague, that guy you meet in the game shop once a week - you don’t know what they are like in private. Maybe they’re into something really disturbing stuff online, they are alcoholic or drug addict, they beat their wife, they are a predator, you have no idea what goes on in their private life.
Guy I knew was a friend of a friend, met him a couple times myself and he seemed normal enough guy. One day there seems to be some drama online in the (non-wargaming) fandom, this friend of mine is distraught about someone close to him. After a little digging I find this friend of a friend has been imprisoned for possession of child abuse images. Yup, he was a paedophile.
Don’t assume you know people until you’re very close to them.
Don’t go around life suspecting everyone of being a paedo or something, but don’t think you know and can trust someone because you share a wholesome hobby.
North, dude. I love you reading the stories and often the advice you give. But you should stop at judgement. Social anxiety and fear of rejection is a very common thing in many neuro diverging conditions. We can't help it. It happens. We can learn how to down regulate it somewhat or how to reduce some of the feelings, but it is effing hard. And from experience, when a rule discussion moves away from criticising a mistake to criticising the person, it is devastating for us...
That's nice, but you either nut up or shut up. Im not social butterfly but if you're so fragile around people then you need therapy or find a different group of people who will cater to your sensibilities.
this last story is so made up. i don't know why we even read his stories. kid randomly buys 1000pts and loves hanging out with children
.... Do you not understand a club allowing people to BORROW minis when a guest BUYS A DRINK? or is the "Join or buy a drink, Club Policy" not clear?
Every country is different and they rent armys to club members in the former Yugoslavia. Or something
@@colinpenfold9890 well most clubs here maintain a decent sized collection of several factions and allow members to borrow minis they need to play. Some that have a bar like Alex's club allow guests that buy a drink to borrow minis as well. Of course with the understanding that the minis can't leave the club and aren't treated roughly. I even know one play in the Capital that doesn't mind their members using club owned armies for tournaments.
@@Dominik189 that’s really good system it beats lugging around an army case if you don’t own a car. At our club in Australia people bring their own armies.
@@colinpenfold9890 yeah, plus some clubs, including Alex's allows members to rent a shelf in a cabinet in the back for an extra 2€a month where you can keep your minis, paints, and everything hobby related that you want. The 2€is treated as both the rent and insurance payment. The only limit in Alex's clubs case is that he insists you only store unfinished models. The normal fee for membership is 10€which gets you drinks at cost rather than the double guests have to pay. Plus the club sells carry cases to members at cost. It's really a rather wonderful place. It's just lucky that he owns the building where the club is so he doesn't have to pay rent.
