I got my convertible a week ago an absolutely love it. With the top up it’s nice to roll the rear window down and listen to the engine. I live in a northern climate so it’s cold outside but you sit so low and with the windows up and heated seats and steering wheel on it’s fun to drive with the top down. The all black top gives it an exotic look even with the top up. Great car. I should mention that I have also owned new Ferrari hard top convertibles and I prefer this car.
Amazing all that under 100K. I watch a lot of the Vetter videos and minus one, i haven’t watched single one where the driver/tester weren’t impressed beyond words. Has to truly be one hell of a nice car.
Good review. But i have to admit that you have to see the car in person to appreciate it .I just recieved mine in the same color orange sebring with black top ,but opted for the black interior and high wing. Looks perfect. Top up or down the car has a special look to it.
I definitely would’ve went with black wheels if I had the black pillar spoiler and the orange paint. I must admit it’s absolutely beautiful! that orange paint looks 🔥 on that body!
Don't know why I continue to watch these videos, as my anxiety level goes nuts! I was a victim of the 2020 cancellations like 20,000 others. So, I'm currently in 4th place at my dealership for my 2021. Artic White, 2 tone Adrenaline red GT2 seats, Z51, convertible, 2LT, mag ride, lift. Hopefully late December or early January. Fast forward. It's now February 21st and still no C8. Disappointed again with 3 weeks of plant closure. 2 weeks for part constraints, and one week of mother Nature's attack with snow & frigid temperatures. HOWEVER!!! I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel. My dealership called to say "my car will be built this week" From there it will transported by train to Lordstown, Ohio and then a car carrier will bring it to the dealership. Oh, one more thing I will get my Black Trident wheels. GM announced several weeks ago they were on constraint, but I got lucky as they had enough wheels to build my car. Anxiety level is "now" through the roof!!!!!
Nice car beautiful Corvette C8 anything changed those Wheels but me some nice deep dish chrome wheels or black wheels make it stand out some nice twenties in the front 22 in the back Nystrom and audio video and good luck to the new owner whoever gets that Corvette
Good video, but too bad the car was not fully run it. It was limited to 4500 rpm. Hopefully your customer will bring it back after it’s been fully run in to wring it out fully.
Now if GM can just get an interior design team for the truck division they can really have a strong portfolio. Great job now do the same to your other cars besides the new Escalade which is a stunner
most corvettes are designed as convertibles first and farmost. despite more hardtops being sold. The very first vettes were convertible or open roof roadsters. and if you look at many hard top corvettes you can clearly see the emphasis on design focused on the car and not its roof line. which is why unfortunately the vettes roof design seldom changed throughout much of its history. This c8 corvette gets much of its design themes from other exotics but as a whole it has an air not just of lamborghini but also mclaren. And its odd because mclaren doesnt do hard edge designs, but something about the c8 translates as mclaren.
@@EdMiF We all know Covid only affected C8, production. Porsche sales increased by 30% over the same time period, but again, that was because of Covid. Everything that must be explained was due to Covid. Even Covid was due to Covid.
@@FFE-js2zp You posted a drop in C8 sales, Vette production was affected by Covid. There is no debate about that. Did Porsche production stop because of Covid? I don't know, I can only speak for the C8. You're numbers alone don't paint the whole picture, hence my post. And BTW, Vette sales were double what the 911 sales were in 2020.
@@EdMiF Why, no! Even GM production didn't stop due to Covid... even with 80x the number cases in Detroit as Bowling Green KY. The reason the C8 assembly line repeatedly shut down was GM's stupid, very public proclaimation that they were locked and loaded to build more than 40,000 C8s in it's launch year, which they very publicy define as Sep to Sep. That was an ultra mega colossal cataclysmic failure, they sold 12,600 in the first 12 months. As a result of the worst model meltdown in the history of cars, GM has laughably extended the launch "year" to 15 months. Even the Ford Edsel sold 5 times as many cars in it's 12 month launch year, making the C8 the biggest and most embarrassing EPIC FAILURE in all of auto history. Vette sales collapsed from a 34,000 C7 launch year (it's first 12 months, for the calendar-challenged) to 12,600 in the C8s first 12 months. The Vette is dead as a doornail. Other cars are doing just fine, due to Covid.
Why don’t you face the camera to the front of the car instead of seeing your face, no disrespect intended just rather see the front of the car going thru the road.
Freezing the vid, the body ripples and dash stitching are just HORRENDOUS. I get the impression that Vette lovers have little to no experience in the $100K realm these cars are trying to punch. Simply put, at its price point, the C8 is a quality and workmanship disaster. It is rock bottom in its new price class. In fact, it has introduced a new class: $30K quality overpriced by 300%. Its best verified Dragy run of 4.14 seconds to 60 and a 12.0 quarter are spot on for a 495HP car at 3900lbs, but $100K for that??? That is basic family sedan speed in 2020.
Ftype SVR weighs less, has more HP, costs MORE ($123,000) and can do the quarter mile in 11.5. So it weighs less, has more HP, is nearly double the price and is not even faster by a second. This applies to so many cars. Aston Martin Vantage? 12 second quarter mile, costs $150,000, 503 HP. Lol You're a fool. Truly.
@@andso7719 Don't be a moron. You're comparing an all aluminum masterpiece with a plastic GM POS. The F-Type devastates the C8 by 400 feet in the quarter, look at what a mediocre 3.48 sec F8 did to the C8 in MTs WGDR 10. Beat it by 330 ft.
@@andso7719 The fastest stock C8 on Dragy is 4.14/11.98. A laughable mess for $105K. Terrible value. PDR is not a time. Chevy's ECUs are so slow they can't even continuously display the speedo. GM makes abysmal junk and that includes a PDR that reads 1.5 secs faster than Dragy.. I know, I own a 2017 C7 and an 2014 F-Type V8. The Corvette is not REMOTELY competitive, it is close to 2 seconds slower 0-60 and a complete POS from a "quality" POV. But my son likes it because its not too fast for him to handle and he loves the styling. Its also shooting up in price as the C8 fails.
@@FFE-js2zp Little man, you're comparing a base model C8 to higher end vehicles. Let me explain something. When the next level models come out - it will put your Jaguar to shame. Shoddy ecu or not. Better carry extra lube with you on the street in case you run into a Z06.

Would only get this as a convertible. It's gorgeous! Maybe not the large wing, probably a subtler lip
Yeah, I actually prefer the spoiler delete. Or like you say just a lip. Don't like the wing at all.

I agree completely that the convertible has a more exotic look than the coupe, which is why I am in the order Queue for a Z06 Convertible.
That will be a great yes
The c8 has a very sophisticated convertible mechanism. I love how you can open and close it while in motion. Also I like how it's a hard top.
Thanks Freddy!
How was the wind noise at the B-pillar SiS?
It was fine really.. very nice experience roof down
I saw one in light blue at a cars and coffee Nov 8th in Fogelsville Pa. would really like to see one in Elkhart blue.

Everything great except that seat color combo, does not go with the orange.

Sucks can’t hear the exhaust in these videos. So no big V8 sounds.

it's not a competition seat. it GT2
