I just realized my segment on the Angels got left out, so I’ll write about it here. Obviously Mike Trout is a guy I would love to see get traded, but because of his knee surgery he’s an unknown at this point, and his contract is obviously hard to move. They do have a couple other guys that could be moved though like Brandon Drury, Carlos Estevas, or maybe even Patrick Sandoval.
The last time the Mets drafted and signed a pitcher in the first round of the amateur draft was in 2017. Despite having Scott and Tidwell, they don't have enough young quality pitching. Hopefully, Stearns will start to address this issue.
Won't be surprised if Ryne Stanek gets shipped, especially if Brash & Santos are back and in good form. Dipoto loves selling back-end bullpen arms even when the Mariners are in contention.
I don't especially think the Rays are going to be sellers at the deadline, pretty likely they're still in the wildcard picture at that point given the issue has largely been in the bullpen and the Rays are notoriously good at on-the-fly bullpen revamps; honestly, would not at all be surprised to see them add Tanner Scott since he's the sort of reliever they have tended to go for at the deadline (great stuff, iffy command that can potentially be improved enough for the stuff to play). However, buyers or sellers I do think it's highly likely we see Zach Eflin getting moved, simply due to the combined factor of him being on the same sort of contract as Tyler Glasnow (mid-range first 2 years, with a big raise in the final season) which means he's very unlikely to be on the roster come Opening Day 2025, and also the fact that Rays have a decent number of guys (Springs, Baz, Rasmussen maaaaybe, and McClanahan in 2025) who are going to be looking for starting innings soon and the Rays will have to figure something out with, so moving Eflin deals with both of those aspects whilst still bringing in probably the best return of the guys they could offer.
If my Nats made the wildcard I would lose it LOL.....besides I don't see the Lerners making any major moves with the way our farm system is rising. I would hope we wouldn't move our big names just for a wild card run with the holes our team has. I was hoping that Corbin could be decent this year so we could get rid of that contract a little early, but that's not happening at this rate!
Bregman would have to heat up quite substantially for them to move him. If he has a so-so season, I think he would likely be a candidate for a 1 year prove-it deal, and if so, I think Houston would retain him for next season.
He's gonna walk in free Agency the Astros stink this year this is coming from someone who has 20 years ASTROS Fandom on you Bregman is gone the run is Over accept it
@@jeffstrosmchats7259 I’ve been a fan longer than that and it’s my opinion that they stand a very good chance to re-sign him if it’s a 1 year prove it deal. He’s not going to get the contract or deal that he wants and even that could price him to where Houston could afford him. He’s not 100% gone and I’m not some Bregman lover or something. I’m just being realistic. The Astros CAN afford him at the way he’s playing.
Here me out, with Outman and Lux struggles to begin the season and with Pages being crazy good to start his career, would the dodgers do something crazy like trade Lux, Outman, and Knack for Jazz Chisholm?
Nah, too crazy, even without considering Jazz's beef with Miguel Rojas. Also, Miami just shipped off Arraez for a bag of magic beans. The Dodgers could probably get Jazz for less.
@T_K7 you're right. I could see something similiar but for Brandon Lowe from the Rays if they decide to sell. He's on a decent contract but has had injury issues the past couple years. I could definitely see Rays being interested in shipping him off if the package is right
@@hoodiewafflesas a rays fan yeah we'd probably be willing to move him but would want one or two decent quality prospects, not quantity of lesser ones.
Cedric Mullins is always a question mark for the orioles and they definitely have the depth to make a trade, just depends if he can get back into 30/30 Mullins form or not near the break
The A’s are definitely not trading Mason Miller. They already accomplished what they set out for. Tanking so bad that they leave Oakland. Mission accomplished. They’re not going to keep tanking now that it’s a done deal. No reason to.
If there was any hope of Trout getting traded, it’s gone now with this most recent injury. It just confirms everyone’s belief that Trout can’t stay healthy at this point in his career, and no team is going to want that
@@chaineddeath5513I would love to see if he got traded to a team where he could do like a left field/DH role and limit the amount of ware he puts on his body. I know it's probably what he doesn't want to do, but I think if he went to a team where he had a less strenuous role and didn't have to be the only guy who can produce on the roster, maybe he can stay healthier
@@jacobtucker5933 I agree that should be his role going forward. I can’t help but wonder what would have happened this year if Ron Washington didn’t allow him to steal bases
Trout doesn’t want to leave. If he wasn’t into staying he’d be gone. Not that he’s in control of a potential trade but he’s a draw to the park no matter what he is doing or if the Angels are winning or not. But yeah. I’d like to see him get one.
Rays traded away Manzardo last season already with the idea they need Yandy until Xavier Isaac makes his MLB debut, don't think I see them moving on from him just yet unless they pull some crazy shit like Junior playing first base lmao. Also Yandy needs to build his trade value back up slowly after a slow start either way, which he will.
Ah, I wouldn't necessarily rule it out. The Rays have the option of shifting Parades over to 1st and calling up Caminero to play 3rd, which is where he's going to play anyways when he gets to the bigs unless the Rays shift him to LF or something. Do I think it's likely that Yandy gets moved? Not really; he's much more likely to go in the offseason, but it's still possible if the offers are there.
@@ryangale3757 yeah it’s not out of the realm of possibility I mean you can’t rule anything out for the Rays but Yandy is also a big leader in that club house that would more so be an off season trade if they do pull something like that like you said, but anything is possible of course lol
Ya'll really gotta change the culture or something in that clubhouse, cause there's some sort of X factor they've been consistently missing every year; this years shaping up to be no different, which is amazing considering the on-paper talent.
I'd love to see the Guardians go after Jazz or Rooker. They love their young team philosophy, but I feel like adding one more bat to help Jose and Naylor would put this team over the top. And they have the pieces to make a trade happen pretty easily.
Bregman needs to be traded as a astros fan his defense is still good. But his offense has fallen off alot. Majority of the time he is very cold then he will heat up for about a month then go cold for the rest of the year his end of the year stats don't show how frustrating bregman has been the last several years because 70% of the time he is ice cold cant hit anything.
The Mets should have traded Alonso for pitching several years ago. This team had a weak farm system going into 2022. Epler got lucky and everything clicked in 2022. Right now the team has a lot of young position player prospects but four of their starters are eligible for free agency at the end of the year. They need to start developing more pitching.
@thatkristiandude4048, with the way things are going, Trout and Moreno are not in a great relationship right now which is why I believe Trout is going to be very likely to be getting dealt this year

Ryan Pressly to the Cubs for a couple prospects.

Don’t think Jazz will get traded until the offseason. He makes too much money for the Marlins in other areas to get rid of now.
Only thing I’ll ever disagree with you on is calling Jazz Chisholm a potential game changing player. He is at best am above average everyday player.
I can see why people would think that. For me personally, home runs and stolen bases are game changing.
