Hi. I enjoy watching your content. It's very well made and I would like to thank you for giving away this wonderful piece to one of the subscribers. Congratulations
Really enjoyed video. You keep it real and give a beginner hope that even a seasoned watch enthusiast can have a troubling moment. Thank you. Looking forward to more of your content.
Much appreciated. That is the one thing I really try to make sure I get on video is the detail items that often get overlooked. Even still, sometimes I manage to forget to hit the record button, like when I adjusted the balance wheel end-shake. Oh well, there's always ways to improve. I appreciate you commenting on the detail in the videos. That's really where I try hard to set my videos apart.
Thanks for keeping all your mistakes in the video and for your commentary on it. I have been very interested in watchmaking and all these little golden nuggets of information are so helpful to know! Love your channel and content sir!
Much appreciated! It is not a large watch by today's standards, as nearly all of them weren't that were made during that time. It is however a typical man sized watch of the time. I personally have larger sized wrists so that is why I keep XL length straps on hand. This watch would probably look much better on someone with regular sized wrists than mine (which are 8.25"). However, it is a classic watch and I'd wear it still. I have other vintage watches that are about this size and wear them regularly.
Thank you for the nice closeups of your meticulous lubrication of the movement during reassembly. It would be an honor to wear that watch, especially now that you have it running so well! I am a big fan of watching case restorations that match the condition of the dial and hands. Thanks for your effort in making this video!
I've heard that a few times now. I seriously do not hear any similarities. Marshall's voice is superb for this type of narration. Mine makes me cringe! Thanks though, lol. Yes, a stereo microscope was an absolute game changer for me. I'd highly recommend getting one if you want to delve into this hobby. I still have loupes (which I never really could get used to), and use them on rare occasion, but mostly I work under the microscope.
That’s amazing … a watch that’s older than my father, but it still looks so classy. It’s incredible how accurate it is. …one day I want to learn to service a watch myself like this 🫣
Some vintage watches have a beauty in their simplicity when it comes to its aesthetics. But, as in this Hamilton, when you see it's movement and overall inner appeal, you truly appreciate the quality of its workmanship .!
Thanks so much. I agree, that movement was in phenomenal shape. Perhaps since it is a one-piece case, it was rarely ever taken apart. The winner is going to be getting a great watch for sure.
@@WeekendWatchRepair I wish everyone good luck! Thanks again for sharing a great video and giving away watch that has good heritage the winner will enjoy for a very long time.
I love hamilton watches. I currently have a 90's khaki field that stopped working and am considering learning watch repairs to do it myself. These videos are so fascinating to me and i love learning more!
Will never understand how you can get to this level, but it's riveting to watch! I clicked because I picked up a Hamilton 'couple years ago and it's what I wear everyday. Thanks for taking the time to publish this!
What a lovely watch. Thank you for all the comprehensive attention to detail and comments. I look forward to more videos. Best wishes. Mark Maddison Durban South Africa
Absolutely love watching your videos and have learned a lot from you. I am a "very" amateur watchmaker and just finished my first complete rebuild of a 60's Croton.
Haha! Far from it, but thank you for the compliment! There are several people out there who are far more experienced and better than I am, but I do enjoy working on these old watches. Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a comment. Good luck in the giveaway.
Thanks for the video. Beautiful watch. Would have been interesting to show how you adjusted the end shake of the balance. Thanks again great videos and congrats
I enjoy them as well. After I got into watch repair, these videos helped me along my own journey, and eventually inspired me to try my hand at create content myself. Thank you for watching and for leaving a comment.
Congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers. Love the camera work and of course the watch looks fantastic, will look even better on my wrist when I win the giveaway.
I really enjoy your channel! I stumbled across it a few months ago while watching other watch disassembly videos. Your style is great: relaxing, informative, and enjoyable!
I had a Hamilton railraod watch thqt was stolen by a relative. Now this watch comes along the year I graduated from high school. Really good videography. Wonderful narration.
Thank you for showing us how to do watches, something I really won’t to do . On the extreme chance that I win it would be awesome birthday present . Congratulations on one thousand followers .
Came across this channel as I'm new to the craft and going to be restoring/servicing a Seiko 6139-6012. Awesome to see someone who shows the full process of it all.
I'm a fan of Hamilton watches, I have that same watch in a Gold Filled 1 piece case. Sure would love to add that sibling to my collection. Great video well presented.
Great job. On a watch that was sold into the thousands it can't hurt the value that much. If it was a high value watch you would certainly think twice. Either way GREAT JOB!!!
Congrats on the ladder to fame :). love watching you work & narrate. you have a tone & the ability to keep your audience engaged as you work. look forward to more videos in the future.
Thank you so much! It's not about any sort of fame for me, and I'm doubtful that ever comes, but I do enjoy working on these watches and making videos. I really appreciate your thoughtful comment.
Very nice. I appreciate your clear explaination of all the steps. Another way to the remove the crystal if the grabber would not get hold, might be to remove the crown and split stem first, and then use compressed air (a large syringe will do) to put some pressure inside the case.
Hello everyone. I'm just pinning this so it's easy to see for anyone leaving a comment. The winner will be chosen randomly through Pickawinner.co on September 16th, 2023, and will be announced on the channel the same day. Full giveaway details can be found in the video description. Thanks so much for taking a look at this giveaway watch!

Classic watch. Great hobby! I built a DIY Watch Club Mosel for my son. I think it’s maybe an homage to this Hamilton.
Very cool!
Hi Marshall, another great video on a beautiful vintage watch.
Thanks for watching, but I'm not Marshall. I will take that as a compliment though. HAHA

Really nice watch I have never seen a watch that the movement all comes out of the top of the watch 😊😊😊
One piece cases are less common, but you do see them from time to time when working on old watches.
