i learned so much from this video....and i actually paid attention the entire time, more than in my actual history class. props for keeping me entertained
Very good videos. Would like to add two points. First is that all Coalitions where design to destroy French Revolution or what was developed by Revolution and restore House of Bourbon to power. Second is that end of 4rth Coalition also allow to create Duchy of Warsaw, restore part of old Poland from territory occupied by Prussia. Other part occupied was still occupied by Russia.
so if I'm wrighting a time line about napoleon and I was wondering should right after Napoleon's victory of the prussians should I talk about his aleins with russia or his attack on spain? please respond
i don't understand why all the other powers if they were fearful of napoleon declared war on him they basically made there fear a reality by losing why didn't they just make peace with France and live next to him the only reason why he invaded was because they kept annoying him
Could have brought up Carl von Clausewitz and On War which was the result of the beating Prussia took. One, if not the most influencial work about warfare to this day.
Thank you for making this! But is there any way you could like just type the things you're saying? It's kind of annoying how long it takes for you to write things out on paint or whatever you're using. Just some advice :)
+Firefox is red, Explorer is blue. Google+ sucks and Chrome does too. ... WW1 was really about imperialism (and Germany's lack of feeling like they had their fair share) and just plain bogglingly stupid decisions by the statesmen of Europe. Nappy can be blamed for the civil wars and the rise of nationalism ... but WW1 could have been avoided if the guys that sit at the bar on Saturday Morning had been running Europe instead of the numb-skulls who were.
why didn't napoleon allied himself with the ottomans when he decided to invade russia. Then russia would have two fronts to deal with, napoleon in the west and the ottomans in the south.

i think they didn't go along very well with each other ever since napoleon invaded egypt and the otomans joined the english agaisnt him napoleon...
just use the cognate names for the German name like Friedrich Wilhelm can be spelled Frederick William
I feel like the French Revolution kind of sowed the seed for WW:I and WW:II. Or am I being too speculative?

@naughtydevil02 That would surely deprive us of videos. Don't you love the inclusive nature of the khanacademy?
Napoleon reached Berlin in 19 days.

Still fairly hungry, also often being conscripted.

Stop sayin he knows "so much", he just study his history books before making videos...
