  • And now for something completely different.
This is fan audio recording of a short story "Secrets of the Sphere: The Cameron Question" by Michael J. Ciaravella, published in the BattleTech magazine, "Shrapnel." Mine is a not-for-profit recording, and all content is owned by Catalyst Game Labs and the author of the story.
Please purchase a copy of Shrapnel, which is available for purchase here: store.catalyst...
Note: I probably won't do too many recording from Shrapnel for now, as that's a new product and I don't want to take food from Catalyst's table- they made a great product and you should totally buy it!
    Enjoy!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it- I had a great time reading and recording it! And I'm honestly always relieved whenever an author likes my work. I love BattleTech fiction and I'd never want to step on anyone's toes lol.

You are quickly becoming my favorite TH-camr
I have severe dyslexia and rely on audiobooks or large font to actually enjoy fiction and you are a fantastic narrator

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoy my content- it means a lot!
Although I am able to read without issue...I barely have the time any more and most of my books are from audiobooks, because it’s something I can do while busy.
I keep thinking “I wish x was an audiobook” for BT stuff in particular so I just decided to make what I wished there was more of (I also want to do VO work one day, but that’s neither here nor there).
Hopefully I’ll get my new mic and a booth built soon (aiming for end of winter) and the quality will really go up!

I like the insane conspiracy theorist vibe this gives me.
Glad to see this channel is still going.

I’m not 100% that tone was the authors intent...but I thought it would be a really fun angle to take (and super fun to record lol)

This feels like the HPG equivalent of a crazy tin-hat conspiracists' AM radio broadcast you'd find while jumping through space West Virginia.

A criminally under subscribed channel. Are you going to make more Battletech Lore? Have you given up? Don't give up!! I said it before, you have a talent for this! Are you on discord? Redit? I'd love to talk shop with you.

On the contrary! I've put together an audio booth and an LLC and I'll hopefully be doing audiobooks professionally soon! I technically have a discord and reddit ID, but I'm rarely on there. But if you hit me up on discord- I'm Brenticus302 on there too- I'd be happy to talk shop back at ya!

Thank you so much for the kind words, also. It's a real encouragement in my endeavors moving forward. Side note: I have a little project coming up for this channel...it's very different and involves a green screen. I think it's gonna be fun!

Oh, more waffling about the Tripitz! Such an old conspiracy theory! Are we *really* going down that old spacer's tale again? Ohhhh, scary white ships from Comstar!!! Ohhhhhhh!
It's nonsense. The Camerons are dead. The end.
