Rewatch the action in this Day 2 Highlights Reel of the FreeWing WingFoil World Games - the first wingfoil racing worlds event.
It was an anomalous morning at Univela Sailing on Lake Garda and everything seemed perfect for the scheduled start of 9am. Unfortunately, contrary to what the weather forecast said last night, the north wind, albeit with good intensity, did not never stabilize. The regattas were postponed to the afternoon when a decisive Autumn Ora forcefully entered at 13:30.
The 43 sailors enjoyed the slalom races.
In the women's fleet, after 9 hits, the French Olivia Piana remains firmly in command, followed by her compatriot Orane Ceris and the Italian Maddalena Maria Spanu.
In the men's fleet, after 10 hits, the podium components remained the same as yesterday with mixed positions. In the lead we now have the French Mathis Ghio, in second place the Italian Alessandro Jose Tomasi and in third place the Swiss Balz Mueller.
